Syncing Problems I have a new Iphone, and set up a new apple ID.
I also deauthorized my sons apple I tunes of of my devices. I uploaded a lot of CD music to my new account on a home computer.
I was able to sync everything between my Iphone and the home computer. On my work computer, I deauthorized my sons
account and authorized my new account. When I tried to do a back up and a sync from my phone, my work device shows
an association with my wife's Iphone. I want to deassociate her device, but there was a 90 day warning. It only shows a date
and does not show a number of "count down days". If I disassociate it, can I reassociate it?
I do not seem to be able to move my downloaded and CD uploaded music from my Iphone to my work laptop.

That's correct. Content sync is one way, from iTunes to iPhone. You cannot copy non-iTunes content from an iPhone to a computer without a 3rd party app on your computer. TouchCopy is a good choice.

There is no such thing as a "sub-account." Also, you probably mean iTunes library, when you say "account." Your "account" in iTunes is your Apple ID, which is what you use to sign in to the iTunes Store to make purchases. iPods are associated with an iTunes library, not with an Apple ID (iTunes Store account). You'll need to clarify...
So, this is what I think you are saying. You previously shared an iTunes library on a computer with your friend. Your old iPod was synced to that iTunes library.
You got an iPhone, and at that time, you set up your own iTunes library. Is that on a different computer? How does the iPhone affect your question about the iPod?
You got a new iPod. What is your "old iTunes"? Is that the iTunes library you shared with your friend? -
I have two devices (Iphone and Ipad) on the same Apple ID. When I go to Icloud and click at the "find Iphone" I see only one of my devices. How can I do to see both of them?
Obvious question, but have you got 'Find My iPhone' set on both devices? Settings>iCloud>Find My iPhone.

I have an old iphone and have a new one as well. I would like to use my old on as an ipod but itunes not longer recognizes it. Any ideas? I have been using it for a month with no problems until tonight. I restarted my computer..still no fix.
Looks like its fixed. I am syncing it now. A lot of the answers are for the new iphone so i had to mess with a bunch of settings as well. My old phone is now an 8 gig ipod. the books app no longer works and that *****.....but better than nothing...

I have restored my IPHONE and the problem still continues. No photo is save in camera roll since the new IOS6!
The built in camera app. But all the apps do not allow me to save any photos as well.

I did exactly what you wrote, and when trying to click the vcf file on the iPhone the screen freezing, and then after few long seconds it goes alon to home.
So I tried less contacts in a Vcard, and i'm dividing my address book, doing little by little and it work.

I had my iPad, which it still, I did not move from MobileMe to iCloud and all the photos are there!

I tried to sync music from iTunes to my iPhone and when I click on "on this phone" the songs are there, but they are greyed out and have a circle in front of them. I can not click on those songs, delete or anything and when I eject the phone they are not on the phone. I tried to re-add the songs and it says it can't add songs because they've already been added. So HOW can I get the songs to actually ADD to my phone to where I can listen to them? It's like they're stuck in Sync limbo or something! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases. -
I have a music library on an iMac and I got a new iPhone and a new MacBook Pro and I want some of the songs from the iMac library to be on my phone and my MacBook Pro and I have a new Apple ID on my phone and my Mac book pro, is this possible if so how do I do it?
Providing specifics on all the ways to do this will take more time than I am willing to spend here these days. You can do some of this with Home Sharing. You can transfer the entire library from one computer to another, If you do that you can delete what you don't want from the transferred library.
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) so you get a prompt to select a library, then guide it to the 'iTunes Library.itl' file in the moved iTunes folder. If you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)
You do not want to use a new AppleID. Change the AppleID on the new phone to the old ID. Purchases made with one AppleID cannot be transferred to a different one and it will be a royal pain to manage two Apple IDs.
Change iTunes Store account on an iOS device - Log out of your current account with Settings.app > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) > tap on your AppleID. Log in with a different account. I brought a new computer is there any way to put the items that i have on my iphone and ipad in my itunes. I know the music and apps i paid for but what about the songs and photos. that are not paid for. and having it sync with out it telling me that it has to erase all my things.

I had an iPhone 3GS, but my husband had a newer one, so he gave me his when he upgraded to the iPhone4. When we uploaded everything, it took it all except my music. Now when I try to download my music from iTunes, it will not sync with it.
No error messages
It pops up the box where it asks if you want to view folders, download your pics, etc. There is nothing in the box about music (iTunes).
I have rebooted my phone and computer. Downloaded the lastest version of iTunes, Deauthorized and reauthorized the phone. Not sure what to do now. -
I have my ipad, iphone, and macbook pro all synced together, which generally works fine. I receive all emails from senders in my address book in my Macbook Pro and iPhone, but some end up in Trash on my iPad, with the message, "This message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program. text/plain" They appear to be mainly from competing platforms, android, etc. Is there a workaround for this problem?

Imap: google, hotmail, and more including icloud.
If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

Not dumb! Tap and hold down your finger on one of the icons until they all start to wiggle. You will then see a little "x" in the upper left-hand corner of the icon. Tap on that to delete the app!
