Syncing removed apps and settings cannot get some apps, settings and scores back
When syncing with iTunes 10.1.1 it removed apps after backup and sync, I lost settings , apps and scores
Tried restore did not work. Using W7
No significant changes to PC, upgrades to newer version of iTunes and patches to OS. No warning about apps being removed, most apps are re- installed by dragging from iTunes back to phone but lost strings and scores also one app from big fish games seems to think I have not purchased full version

Many thanks a VERYNovice ipadderThe iPad 1 can be updated to iOS 5.1.1. You can see what level you are running in Settings > General > About > Version.
If you are not at iOS 5.1.1 and if you are have iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

If you are on level 5 but not at 5.1.1 you can update to 5.1.1 using Settings > General > Software Update.
There are still many Apps which will run on iOS 5. Also, some developers have older levels still available for the iPad 1. -
I have the iPhone 4S and I cannot get my apps to download. I will click free then install and then it will ask for my password. Once I enter my password correctly it will verify my password an then it won't do anything. what should I do?
I just went through this same process.... I changed my credit card, double checked billing info, changed my password, I restored my phone, but the misake I made was I kept restoring it from my back up.... Finally I went to Apple Store.. and sad to say that you have to do a restore, and DO NOT restore from back up.
I used Gmail so I didnt loose contacts or email.. but I did loose all my text messages and history of that.
So, I had the EXACT same problem and it was a software issue.. you have to restore your phone to factory settings and start all over.. BLOWS I know! -
I have a brand new MacBook Pro . I got into voice over and then figured out how to stop that but now have a black box in the middle of the home screen and that box has a bunch of icons .....(Keyboard, pointer etc) I cannot get it to close and I'm not able to go past the home screen. Help
If you click on that window, the menu bar should change to whatever program that is. Then click the program name and click Exit.
If that doesn't work, click the Apple icon, then Force Quit. Look for something that says Not Responding and quit it.
Last... if nothing else works reboot and see if that does it. -
How do I get zoosk app off the front of my App Store......I am not a member and do not wish to be but it will not go away and it is stopping me from getting more apps....help
A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure. -
my daughter registered her iphone first to my computer and now i have connected mine to update it and it has taken all my apps, pictures, phone numbers, right back to minimum.
when i go onto sign into my account on my itunes on the phone it lets me sign into my account but when i want to go onto icloud it wont let me change my log on details from my daughters. so i tried to reset the whole iphone but it asked me for a restriction pin which i do not know what this is. i have entered it wrong two times already and dernt try another time.
please can you help me asap. i need to get all my items back up and running.If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad/iPod into Recovery Mode

I was in the general settings on my ipad a couple of days ago and when I signed out and wanted to come back on i could not get into my pad at all I have changed the id and password three times and i still cannot get into the pad. Is the general setting keeping me out? I put the passcode in and I still cannot gaet in, is the passcode my password if so why can I not get in?

I spent 2 days waiting and being transferred from dept to dept and they say its the banks fault......I have the info right in front of me and I entered the new infor just like its on the bill. I really and fed up with the fact that apple comes out with a new phone and makes all the others useless with these BIG downloads that use up all of your storage and then it gets to where you can't even get any updates....and now this. All I want is an app that is worth $2.99
Have you tried selecting 'none' on the payment details screen, exiting it, and then tried going back in and re-tried entering the card's details ? If you leave it as 'none' then you should be able to download app updates, and (depending upon your country) you might be able to get iTunes gift cards and use them as your payment method.

using itunes and was notified i had to update to IOS7. During this update my Iphone 4 froze, screen shows a charger lead with an arrow towards an itune symbol. nothing works now and I tunes does not recognise. Gone through steps in help but no joy. Can anyone help?????
force the phone into recovery mode (search Google) and attempt to restore the phone again.

Hi all. I upgraded to 7.1.2 on my IPad yesterday. I cannot now get these apps: facebook, iPhoto's, iBooks and some others. I can't update the Economist or Bloomberg apps. I cannot delete the apps and reinstall. I did a reset. Any ideas?
Are there any parental controls on the iPad or iTunes?

Look and see if you have a stalled download in iTunes - it could be a song or a podcast - if there is something that has not completed in there, your app updates will not download. Finish those downloads first, if you have any.

Apparently I don't know how to use this forum. I hope someone will be able to understand my message and have an answer or suggestions on how to take care of this. It's important that my calendars on my phone and computer match at all times. I have missed appointments because of this.

I am using Numbers on my iPhone5 and cannot get the app to do a simple (SUM) calculation. It shows the formula correctly in the cell, but all I get for my long list of numbers to add is 0. How can I get this to work?
Oaky, at least we got that far. Next step is to determine if all those "numbers" are really numbers. Changing the format to "number" doesn't necessarily change the string to a number. The string has to be in the form of a number. Some may appear to you and me as numbers but will not turn into "numbers" when you change the formatting from Text to Number. Unless you've manually formatted the cells to be right justified, one way to tell if it is text or a number is the justification. Text will be justified to the left, numbers will be justified to the right.

Copying files into event browser
