Syncing to iPhone: What the?

Hey everyone,
Within the last week or so, I've plugged my iPhone 3G into the usb port of my MacBook Pro, and whenever iTunes detects the iPhone, I get an error pop up on the screen. The error says something along the lines of "Cannot sync iPhone, this computer doesn't have sync enabled," or something like that, followed by the option to press "OK" or "OVERRIDE" (sorry, I'm at work so I can't give the exact error message).
So, I don't know what it's talking about, I haven't changed the settings on my Mac in ages, so this error just came out of nowhere.
If anybody has any insight on this problem of mine, please let me know.

Mine does this too. My only working solution is to reset the phone to factory setting and setting it up again. I have had to do that several time.
No help availble on this board, nobody seems to have a clue
