Syncing Tungsten T3 to Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit: use Palm Desktop 6.2 or version 4?

Hi, I saw a post by Eaglesfan723 asnwered by AlanG. It seems T3 can sync with Windows 7 64-bit using bluetooth. Before I try, I wanted to confirm if eaglesfan723 used Palm Desktop 6.2 or v4.x.  Dear eaglesfan723 or Alan, I would be grateful if you could provide more details on how you managed to get T3 to sync with your Windows 7 machine.  My PC is a n HP Touchsmart with native bluetooth.  Thanks very much!
Post relates to: Tungsten T3

Hello cwlpalm and welcome to the Palm forums.
This thread calls for Palm Desktop 6.2.2 on Windows 7 for a Bluetooth HotSync.

  • Laserjet 4240n driver does not work with windows home premium 64 bit

I recently was given a HP laserjet 4240n by my employer to use in a remote office.  I am using a Windows version 7 home premium 64 bit laptop.  I have tried the HP install wizard - no support for this printer.  I have tried downloading the "correct" driver - but that doesn't work either.
I assume that there is something wrong but I have spent hours and still haven't been able to figutre out what is wrong and how to fix it!
    HELP!

  • Repeatedly asked to install Flash 11 on IE 9 Windows Home Premium 64 bit

From my admin account - I successfully install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player 11.  Everything works fine (in that same admin account) until a system reboot.  Then I receive messages from websites stating that they want me to install Adobe Flash.  I do so and all is well until the reboot.
I have followed all the instructions on the Adobe main troubleshooting pages from uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling, rebooting through the deletion of folders at run %appdat%\Adobe - Flash Folder and %\Macromedia and then uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling etc.
Again, I receive a successful installation message and everything works properly until the reboot.   Looks like a lot of users have had this problem, but I haven't found a clean answer. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
I followed one suggestion and downloaded and ran Secunia PSI and found no older version of Flash Player installed.  I do also have Adobe CS 5 Suite installed. I also started receiving messages from HP Solution Software that it would not operate until the latest version of Adobe Flash is installed.  I uninstalled the HP software pending resolution.  Uninstalls and reinstalls of Flash were not successful after removing the HP software either.

Hello, I too have experienced the repeating of installing Flash Player after performing a successful install. The PC is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421, and Flash Player 11.4.402.265. The installation of the latest FP indicates a successfull install. Then when going to any site that uses FP, for example, weather.com, yahoo news, youtube, a message window indicates the latest FP needs to be installed.
I've went through the steps in thread 4613512 (FP uninstaller), 928315 (clean install), 987370 (permissions errors), the steps in this thread including deleting the %Appdata%\Macromedia folders prior to the install, removed references to Adobe 7 in the Windows registry (running Adobe 10.1.4). Also checked that Windows Media Player was not installed. It is not. All of the functions in the steps within these threads seemed to complete successfully. No errors or other problems were indicated. Would you have any suggestions on something else to try?  Thank you.

  • Z - Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit - new solutions for hotsync?

I am heartsick that my new operating system - Windows home premium 64 bit and my Palm Z22 won't sync.
I'm a little confused by all the computer speak any many of the posts were in 2009. (i.e. is Vista 64 bit, the same as Windows 7 64 it...as it relates to the problem?
What is an IRDA?  (as in -  using an IRDA to USB adapter to Hotsync a Z22 with a laptop running Vista 64.)
Is there a new solution out there?
    Thanks,
    mcgeesmail

An Ir adapter is a USB "dongle" - that is, it's a short USB cord with an IR "eye" on the end of it.  You aim your Z22's port at this eye to make the connection (usually about 6" to 12" apart).

  • Can I change the OS of Touchsmart 610 from Windows Home Premium to Windows 7 Pro?

I have 610 1100me system loaded with Windows Home Premium 64 bit.  We bought it from Dubai and is in use in Pakistan.  It started giving problems after few weeks of use.  Its' hard disk makes noise and sometimes, system could not find boot disk.  Most of the times blue screen of death and hanging issues.  Any idea about this issue and how to fix it?  My observation is that the culprit is hard disk!
Also, can I change its OS to Windows 7 Pro or ultimate (32 or 64 bit)?  Where can I find all drivers for Pro or Ultimate?
Many thanks for your valueable advice.

    Hi,
Nearly nothing change interms of drivers required for Windows 7 (HP, Pro, Ultimate) unless you switch from 64 to 32 bit. You can reuse your current HP 64 bit drivers for 64 bit W7 Pro or Ultimate.

Hi I have a HP Pavillion DV6-1355 dx windows 7 Home premium 64 bit and I have some major issues ,first when I bought this computer  I turned it on it automatically connected and downloaded a whole bunch of stuff I am not even sure what all ,my  P/N #VM222UA#ABA , S/N [Personal Information Removed] I dont even know what should and shouldnt be on here anymore . It has a sticker in keyboard area at bottom right corner and a windows 7 sticker  says Intel Duo core and yet I get troubleshooters refering to Vista ,AMD ,and several other computers .In my device manager it has a bunch of stuff with little yellow gears .I feel it has down loaded my old computers which I dont have but 1  and  my current ones which are all windows 7 64 bit . I was gong to scare my husband by starting his prinnter from mine wasnt even sure what I was doing but  I do remeber it saying that I would have to be in control over the pcs I cant remember exactly and I also wanted to make sure updates were done because my husband never did them so I thought great they will get regular updates. At that time we had 3 windows xps  1 professional 64 bit,1 hp media center 2005 64 bit and a windows xp home edition 32 bit .I didnt know much about pcs then I sought help but never got it resolved we had a differnt router and i beleave sbc global at time when I did it that computer ended up dieing so I no longer have it but yet I see its hardware listed and I see the AMD listed and SIS and Matrix with dates going back to 2003 and this computer is a 2009 . PLEASE HELP

    Hi lustyln,
I'm having a little trouble understanding all of what you are trying to explain. From what I can tell, it sounds like your PC has a lot of software problems and you want to know what is supposed to be there and what isn't.
For reference, here are your product specifications:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c01893242&lc=en&product=4043282
To get your PC software back to how it was when it was first purchased, run a system recovery:

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.I've never had this problem before... today I opened iTunes and it prompted me to download the newest version.  I use iTunes all the time and have updated it multiple times with no issues.  During the installation process it gave me an error message that said:
    Runtime error!
    Program C:\Program Files\iTunes.exe
    R0634
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
I quit the installation, uninstalled iTunes and rebooted my computer.  I now receive a similar message with a slight difference:
    Runtime error!
    Program C:\Program Files (x86)...
    R0634
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
I did not leave anything out from the error message.  It doesn't point to a specific file, it just ends with "(x86)..."  Every time I boot up my computer, this error message pops up on my desktop.
How do I repair this issue?  I have found multiple suggested solutions but am unsure which one is the best, and I don't want to try a bunch of different things for fear I may make the problem worse.  I would like to try and fix this myself if possible but I need to know if that is really possible or if I need to take my computer to someone for repairs.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

  • Can I install and use XE on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit?

I would like to install Oracle XE as a learning tool but have Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit which I see in the installation guide is not supported. I guess the answer therefore is to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional which the XE Installation Guide says is supported.
I have checked various forums and there seems to be some varying opinions on this. Before I go ahead and upgrade to Windows 7 Professional, can someone advise the best course of action please?

Good luck, managing the rdbms has many challenges.
The full 11g documentation can be quite helpful, even though XE has a subset of the SE or EE options, and going through the XE 2-Day DBA pages is good reading as well.

I am running IE 11 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Service Pack 1. When I attempt to install Flash Player, it goes through all of the steps, tells me the player is installed, and welcomes me. I cannot open the player and it does not appear in the Start Menu, Task Manager, System Tray, or anywhere else. When I try to open a file, the site tells me Flash player is not installed. I have even downloaded it to a separate folder and ran the install with IE shut down completely. And Shockwave in ENABLED but in 32 bit .I have been trying to get this to work for about 3 weeks now.  HELP!!!

Flash Player is a browser add-on, not an executable program.
If you need to open a local SWF file you will need the standalone player (Projector) from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you will need to make the file association manually.

  • Illustrator 15.0.2 extremely slow on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Illustrator has been working nicely on my computer up until the 15.0.2 upgrade.  Now it chugs along at a snails pace and locks up/hangs frequently when switch between tools or windows.
    My system specs are:
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    Intel i7 Q720 processor
    6GB RAM
    1GB ATI video card
Is anybody else experiencing extremely slow performance with the 15.0.2 upgrade?

I am having a suspisciously similar issue and I would like to elaborate a bit..
I too have this odd issue where Illustrator works ok (though screen redraw lags) but as soon as I go between programs, whether Notepad, Acrobat or similar simple programs - Illustrator freezes for 5-10 seconds. I go back and forth a lot - looking through documents (pdfs etc.) when I draw so the annoyance is simply unbearable.
I have used Illustrator for ages and roughly 6 months ago I bought a new PC to use at home. Its specs are:
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
    PROC: Intel i7 930
    RAM: 12 GB OCZ PLATINUM
    GFX: ATI RADEON HD  5870
    MOBO: P6X58D
These specs thrashes my specs at work by far and yet Illustrator BOTH CS4 and CS5 runs smooth and hazle free at the old worn out computer at work, while being close to useless at home. I have googled my eyes out and found no solution. Tried clearing the prefs, etc. - which made no difference. Disabled Aero and all other gfx consuming stuff - with absolutelu no improvement. I have even tried flagging Illustrator CS5 as Large Adress Aware... didn't help
I can run all other Adobe CS4 and CS5 (master edition) very good!
Can someone help - I am desperat
