Syncing Two Computers to 1 iPod

I just got a new 80GB vieo iPod, imported my library from my mini and synced it to my TiBook at home...no problem. Then I purchased a song on my TiBook and can't get it to synch with the iPod. I have both computers "authorized". Any ideas on how to sync it backwards onto the iPod?
This seems so simple, yet it's driving me nuts.

I am extremely annoyed that mac won't let you sync two computers via bluetooth, when you can easily do it with phones and pdas. It seems to me that it takes the exact same technology to do so, and the only reason mac does not let you sync two computers is that they want to force you to pay $100 for a .mac account. Very Microsoft-like of them. Apple advertises that you can do this function as part of the OSX, but fails to mention it requires additional cost. I hope they provide this in the future.
I've heard a new program, spanning sync, may work, but that is just for your calendar.

1) Apple always advertised its computer to computer sync'ing as ".Mac sync" (http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/dotmacsync/) so I don't see where they "fail to mention it requires .mac" or put that "in the small print no one reads"
2) Peer-to-peer sync'ing leverages many conceptual problems that sync'ing with a central server does not have. It takes a lot of effort to have proper, reliable, secure, yet simple-to-use peer-to-peer sync'ing. It becomes even worse when more than 2 peers are involved, and becomes a total nightmare when there can be cycles in the sync'ing swarm. Apple took the simpler, reliable approach. Of course, Apple can put money to provide some peer-to-peer solution but it's likely not worth the money yet for Apple.
3) Third parties can provide peer-to-peer sync'ing in no time (if it were that simple) since Tiger, thanks to Sync Services... yet there isn't many solutions out-there... however, maybe you should take a look on VersionTracker. You might find what you want:

Syncing two computers via network session

hi
this topic started out in another thread, really should have it's own though...
so i want to sync two computers via a "network session".
one is a G4 (dual 800 running logic pro 7.2.2) the other is my macbook pro running logic pro 6.4.2.
basically all i am using the macbook for is to playback a quicktime movie...
now i have successfully got the network session going in "Audio Midi Setup", but for the life of me can't get the logic on the macbook pro to slave up. even though mtc is set up and the logic 7.2.2 is set up to send mtc via the network session.
if anyone has any ideas...please feel free...

Synchronisation two computers with one ipod?!

I have two computers (mac and win) and want my itunes songs on both machines. Actually the ipod works with the win computer. How can I get the songs from the ipod to the mac? How can I transfer/sync these songs over the ipod on both systems.

Probably the easiest way to use an iPod on both Mac and Windows computers is to format the iPod (using iPod Updater) using the PC. This will force your iPod to use the Windows file system (FAT32) which both the Mac and PC can read from and write to without the help of additional software. Of course then all your software updates for the iPod will have to be done on Windows.
If you need to use a Mac (HFS+) formatted iPod on a Windows PC, you'll need to install some 3rd party software such as XPlay 2.0 (which you can get from MediaFour Software). This will enable your Windows PC to read a Mac-formatted iPod.
However, please be aware that Apple does not officially support cross platform use.

No you cannot sync with two computers. "Sync" being the key word. You can use an iPad with multiple computers for the purposes of transferring music.

I have two computers. Laptop and Desktop, both of them are PC platform an I have an 30GB iPod video (newest one). I am currently using to sync iPod with laptop. My question is if I can use iPod simulatelously (not sure about spelling :)) with desktop. I need this because I have a most of videos on my desktop HDD.

You can't "sync" that is automatically update an iPod from multiple libraries or computers. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply.

This is a question re: a imac and a powerbook.
I am looking for a product that can update the most recently edited files in my documents folder on both computers automatically...
Often, I use the laptop remotely and need updates to the desk top and vise versa so that the folder being duplicated is a mirror on each machine...
Is this a possibility with some product currently on the market, two computers one set of folders?
Optimally I would like it to happen automaticall but a wired version would be OK too...
When machines are tethered the more recent folders update on either machine.

What's not clear is if it will allow you to disconnect the two Macs and then sync after reconnecting them.
iCloud is something else to consider.

I had the vage memory of a way to sync two albums in iphoto with iphoto of say my mothers computer. I thought I put pictures in an album and through mobile me this album is synced with an album on my mom's computer.
But I can't find any information about this.

I just got another computer, i have iTunes on my laptop with two iPods on it but i was wondering if I could set it up so that I can hook them to the new computer with the same songs and updates as the other with out it erasing my ipod. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer (For instance you have one at home and maybe a laptop or PC you use at work) you can change the update preference to "manually manage songs and playlists. By doing this, you can listen to your iPod at work where you may have iTunes but no songs on the computer. You can use as many iPods as you like on a computer, the limit of 5 computers you are referring to is the number of computers that you can have authorised at any one time to play iTMS purchases:

Is there a way to synchronize my iPod with 2 computers, so that my music us up-to-date on both?

You would have to install the music on both computers. If you sync your ipod with a second computer the ipod will ask if you want to use the ipod with this computer, if you say yes, it will remove all the songs and put them back on again using the library on the second computer. The ipod sync's one way, from computer to ipod. It will not sync ipod to computer. There are third party applications that will allow to do this. I have not used this application, so I can't say how well it works. Give it a try and let me know?

Unlikely to be possible.
The iPhone/iPod Touch is designed to only sync to one computer at a time.
What you are attempting to do is sync to a 2nd computer, even though it is likely the exact same computer.
The only option that might be possible is using the manually manage music on this device option.
