Syncing using only 2 nokia phones - possible?

Hi,
Using only 2 nokia telephones I want to be able to sync my phone calender and the calender of my wife. But I don't want use any PC application. Once a day (when the phones can connect using bluetooth) I need to sync and see if we have any conflicts. Maybe syncing is not the correct term. We need to exchange calender information.
I have asked to Nokia using colleagues to try but without success. I wonder if it is at all possible.
If it is possible which Nokia phones do I need (or which version of the sotfware). I was thinking of a 6300 or 6500 classic and a value for money nokia for the wife.
If this is not possible then why not? Seems like a good idea to me.

We use a number of different NI Gpib cards here at work in conjunction with some RF test equipment in a development environment. Most of this equipment will only work in a Talker-Only mode and are meant to dump data to a Pen Plotter. My objective is to write a universal application that will allow the PC to emulate a plotter in a 'listen-only' mode. Some of our PCs are older ISA versions (Win98,etc) where others are PCI (Win2000,XP). I want to write the software so that any of these platforms could be used.
Any suggestions would be appreciated..

Any way to sync iCal notes w/ Nokia phone?

I was pretty bummed to learn that even though my Nokia syncs perfectly with iCal and Address Book, it completely ignores the notes attached to my appointments and To-Do items. This is a major bummer. Is there any solution?
I did find a widget that allows me to sent notes to my phone, so a workaround is to copy the note text, paste it into the widget, and send it to the phone, but it gets saved in the Notes app, not associated with an appointment or to-do.

I do that by syncing my laptop iCal with my iPod, and then moving my iPod to my desktop and importing the calendars. The way this works is kind of clumsy, maybe because I don't know better. But what I have to do is delete the calendars from my desktop computer that I want to update, and then import the new ones from the iPod. Then I have to reset the colors on the calendars I just imported. It's not a perfect solution, but it works well enough.

We, at LUMS, are working over the upcoming 4th generation of mobile telephones. Can anyone please let me know, which microcontrollers are presently being used in the latest series of cell phones by nokia (like N-series).
There are two microcontrollers in a cell phone, one for GUI and another for DSP etc. Tell me about your controllers used in both applications.

but the code is either nokias own or produced specifically for nokia...very guarded stuff-but if youre developing ceratin software you should have access to certain protocols/ standards so you can develope.
The generation you mentioned, as in future telecommunications- look for ETSI they have worked on/ out standards (even UMTS & FPLMTS e.t.c) back in 1992-3 or probably before then, I cant remember

515 sync using only a USB connection cable (no cradle)

While traveling, my 515 connects to my laptop via a non-cradle USB cable - however - the Palm program doesn't allow me to hotsync without the cradle - that I can find. The sync manager menu gives no options to sync. Is there some other way to order a sync from the palm window?

I have one itunes account and am using 2 iphones, is it possible to keep all the "contacts" seperate from the two devices, so that I dont have to have all of my husbands contacts in the phone book? Or do I have to use 2 different itune accounts?

Your contacts are not part of your iTunes library. iTunes only syncs contacts with your phone from a supported program such as Outlook or mac Address Book. If you are trying to sync you contacts to the same program they will be merged. You could, however, set up two contact groups within Outlook, one for your contacts and one for his. Both groups would still besynced to both devices but you wouldn't have to look at the contact group you weren't interested in. Another option would be for one of you to continue to sync with iTunes with, for example, Outlook and the other sync contacts with another service such as Google or iCloud (be sure to uncheck Sync Contacts on the Info tab of the the iTunes sync settings for this phone).

Are there apps on your phone right now?
I think one of your apps is causing this.
The only way to find out is to delete them all and then add them one by one to see what app maybe causing this.
Especially if you've gone thru 3 iphones already.
When you restored as new - did you sync back your stuff - apps/music or did you restore from backup?

Sync Options using E90 triggered via Phone over bl...

I have newly bought E90 hand set. So I am very new to the setting and other options available with E90.
The scenario I would like to achieve is:
1. Use my phone to trigger and synchronize to my Calendar and to do calender/to do items in Lotus notes on my PC.
2. Use my phone to trigger and synchronize to my contacts on outlook express in my pc.
The major catch in above is that I need to trigger this synchronization using my phone ( may be sync profiles) and not using the PC suite application synchronize button.
Can someone tell me how do I do this and what all do I need to feed into the sync profile setting on my phone.

First, I have to apologize for my bad english, my mother language is french.
Most of my applications I use are in french.
I shall try to help you to my best.
You have to :
1 Install on your computer Nokia PC Sync
Help is given, if I remember well, on the DVD selled with the device. You can also download the application (6.85 Version) from Nokia Website.
2 You can use Bluetooth or USB to bind the computer to the device.
Your computer must have a name.
3 Once you are tied between the device and the computer you must configure Nokia PC Sync. This must be done once.
Help is given with the application for each possibility.
You have to indicate :
1 Outlook / Lotus(?)
2 the data you want to synchronise (Contacts...)
3 the direction of the synchronization
4 where the data must go within Outlook
Other possibilities exists...
Once this is done, begin a synchronisation PC -> E90.
If it works try the other direction using the "Sync" application you will find on your E90.
In my hands, it works perfect. Good luck ! !

Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device (or enable it for the first time), it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device.

You do realize that the SIM only contains account information for your wireless account.
Moving the SIM from phone to phone does not cause any of your iTunes content, contacts, email, etc to magically appear on the device.

The music sync is one way only - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

Can I sync two Nokia phones with Ovi Suite?

I have 2 different Nokia phones. I'd like to save my data to my PC, so I've just downloaded and installed Ovi Suite 2.2.1.23.
When I connected the second phone successfully, there was a green link that said something like "Get tips on syncing several phones with Ovi Suite". However when I clicked there, nothing happened.
When I click "Help->Nokia Ovi Suite Help" on the toolbar, nothing happens, no help tips.
The first phone synced all 82 photos and Contacts and messages to Ovi Suite.
I created a new album with that phone's name, and dragged those pictures from "All" to the new album, to try & keep them organized.
When I connected the second phone all of the Contacts synced (there were a lot) and now they are mixed in with the contacts from the first phone. However the photos would not sync. Then a few photos synced, making a total of 156 shown in All (which included the 82 photos from the first phone). When I would click "Sync" nothing visible happened.
But I did see the photos from the second phone on the PC. I did drag them from the PC into the album created with the name of the second phone.
Now when I look at the photo album with the first phone's name, it says "You have no photos or videos in this album, Drag photos and videos to this album." Yikes! But they are still on my PC.
This is very confusing. I agree with the others, Nokia PC Suite worked well, Ovi Suite seems very confused.
Is any of this uploaded to my online Ovi account?

Somewhere on the nokia ovi website it says you need to use seperate windows logins. Have one login for work and use that when you use ovi to sync your work phone. Other login to sync your personal phone. I lost the link to that webpage, but that is about all it said.
ronni333 - I also had problem with ovi help, the link appeared to be empty. I was using Google Chrome to surf the net. Problem solved by using Internet Explorer instead.

No currently there is not manage devices, only manage device. However changing the password will change the certificates on all the devices within less of an hour.

Wondering how to get my device from the other computer especially since I don't even know what computer it's connected to.

At some stage is is likely to have been connected to another computer's iTunes. It is now linked to that computer's library and iPhones can only be associated to one library at a time. Linking to a different one requires wiping the phone.
If you used the phone with another computer you owned you can transfer the iTunes library from that computer to this one and the phone will still be syncing with the same library it was before.
If all there is on the phone are items which can be backed up to iTunes and purchases which can be transferred you could do that, then wipe the phone and sync them back.
