Here´s a mystery for all of you to sink your teeth in...
this i show it started
I noticed I couldn´t get into the appstores update section on my ipad2. I tried to sign out of the store and back in. Restarted the Ipad and so on.
Same result. No acess - the box said, Sorry we can´t contact store, or similar.
I then hooked my ipad to my macbook (2011 late) running 10.7.4 and when Itunes started it said that it couldn´t sync. Tried to reboot and all that.. Same result... I then put my ipad2 back to factorydefault, worked fine, but couldn´t put on the last saved backup...
I then just tried to manually move over my old apps. And guess what - Couldn´t sync....
All transfers via usb.
What to do?
Suggestions?
Anything?

The ipad is recognized by itunes.
Regarding the pps/backup - not any more details here. Itunes tried to restore the backup manualy after factoryrestore.
It never starts the sync. It stands and "spin" at 1 out of 6 steps. For a while. And the the message pops up - Can´t sync..
Wth manually, it means I ticked the syncing box in the programfolder and picked out the apps I want by ticking their little boxes.
I coudn also move folders from third part programs/apps like IndexCard. Without problems..

I've re-installed iTunes, the latest version for Tiger, I've reset and restored my iPod. The ipod shows up fine in the source banner and I can transfer files to it, however when I unplug the iPod the files are not there.

Maybe try to repair the iPod's HD using Disk Utility located in the Applications -> Utilities folder. If that doesn't help, try a low level reformat of the drive using the same application. Make sure you choose Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) as the file system format.

Connect the device to your computer, open iTunes, restore the iPod to factory settings.

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

There is no way to consolidate iTunes accounts.
Setting up an iPhone has never required creation of a new Apple ID.
You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content.

My USB external hard disk won't work anymore after I updated to 10.4.10

As I said in title since it's quite urgent to me. ALL of my files is in my external hard drive. It's format as FAT or FAT32 I can't remember since I use it between mac and PC. More than that IT IS WORKING FINE UNDER PC. Before updating to Mac 10.4.10 I used my hard disk fine till I updated to this version. I plug in my usb port and after a hours it still won't be detected. I can find my hard disk in finder or desktop. I have tried plug my hard disk to other MacBook or Mac Pro but still won't work anymore. However it's working fine under PC or when I started my MacBKPRO as WindowsXP under bootcamp, my hard disk is working fine, too.
I have search this forum and seems someone have got the same problem as I face. I don't know what to do...and I feel so disappointed to Mac.

As Mac OS X has no known viruses in the wild, that leaves you with one of three possibilities.
1. When connected to the Windows machine, a virus has written over a critical boot block area which allows the drive to become crossplatform. Get the latest Windows virus detection software and make sure the drive is clean of Windows viruses.
2. The firmware that allows it to communicate driverless has become corrupted on the drive case. Replacing the drive case itself will eliminate that problem, as suggested earlier.
3. The directory damage is just enough that the boot block itself is damaged. Backup any critical data from the drive onto the Windows machine first, and run Alsoft Disk Warrior 4.0 to repair the directory and see if that works.
The fact that Mac OS X 10.3.9 won't read it basically eliminates this as a 10.4.10 problem. Only a boot block or firmware issue like this could make a drive not readable on one platform, but readable on another.

my hotmail account won't work anymore, it comes up but when I try to do an action (delete a message) it won't do anything, I've restarted the webpage and updated firefox but it keeps doing the same thing, this was not happening a few days ago

Well, Hotmail no longer works with Firefox on my desktop. Strangely enough when I use my iPad to access hotmail I have the same problem if I set the browser to emulate firefox. I have not tried the firefox app for mobile yet. When my iPad is set to appear as mobile (generic) then firefox works.
Others at work have all had the same problem (and with Chrome but that is not something I want to use anyway). Some have switched to Opera as a temp solution.
Two said whern they disabled silverlight, firefox worked fine. I tried that and it did not. (I have had problems with Silverlight with firefox 10 & 11) I have tried disabling all extensions and plugins and adding one back at a time and so far no luck. My Google account works OK. Any suggestions not only welcome but might be life-savers.

Update 32bit - 64 bit and network won't work anymore

I update (means clean install) Vista Business 32 bit to 64 bit and after that the network connection
won't work anymore. Problem is that vista won't get the IP-address from DHCP (tried in small office network with some cheap Zyxel and big corporate network with expensive stuff) and said that the connection is limited and network is unidentified. I try to
solve this problem with google and already try some regedit things, update Vista with SP2, update network controller driver and
try to limit speed & duplex to 100 Mbps and 10 Mbps but non of those works. Checked
also with linux and the computer gets the IP which mean that the network adapter works and there have to be some problems with this Vista Business 64 bit.
Does someone have any clues what is the problem and how to fix it?

I've been looking to see if any one had the same problem and one guy did but they tOld him it was his hardware, but I don't think it was because my friend was able to get it working but it would stop working again like in 10min. I plugged IPOD in to sync ( first time in over a year) it auto started with the "Do Not Disconnect", but did not sync. Now the IPOD is stuck in that mode, won't shut off, won't sync, won't work. is there a way to reboot it?

It has already been 6 days from your post, my apology for responding so late, but it is my habit to help only the leftovers, which the other contributors missed.
Toggle the hold switch make sure there is no red showing.
To reboot an iPod. (Or RESET in Apple iPod jargon)
Press Menu and Center button for about 10 secs till the Apple logo comes ON , this would not erase any data from your iPod.
I would advice you to leave the iPod charging for about 4 hours, if it has been discharged for 1 year or more, and also Apple recommends that you charge the iPod at least once a month, to prevent a discharged battery leakage, which may corrrode the circuitry in the iPod.
Hopefully you don't get the dreaded RED X on the iPod screen.

So now I ask you if there is any way to solve this problem without sending the computer to repairs.
My computer is a Qosmio x300-130 and I have had it for about two months.

It is really strange issue with those CTRL buttons functionality. Googling around I found several forums where people report about this. Unfortunately nobody has explanation why this happen.
I use Vista and WXP SP3 on my Satellite Pro P300 and until now everything works properly.
I can just imagine some Microsoft update is responsible for this. Try to roll back OS to earlier time using system restore tool.
Please post results.

Why won't my creative suite work anymore since I have upgraded my Mac system? I used it all the time. I cannot afford to buy more softward. I am a Senior and also a teacher. How can I use my Photoshop CS. It won't even open or give me a message.

You have not provided any relevant technical info. Beyond that Adobe can't fix what Apple don't provide - the last version of OSX providing PPC emulation stuff is officially 10.6.8 and an existing Rosetta install will be retained up to 10.7.5, but any version after that will not be able to support this workflow. Printing to PDF (custom page size) from AutoCAD Won't Work Anymore

The DWG to PDF driver provided with AutoCAD 2013 will not save my artwork to a high enough resolution for me to use. See attached screen shots of the PDF's printed by AutoCAD's DWG to PDF driver.
The only PDF print driver that I have found that will is the Adobe PDF driver provided with my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro software. See attached screen shot of the PDF printed by the Adobe PDF driver. HOWEVER, I can only print to a standard paper size and I MUST print to a custom page size. When I try printing to a custom page size it will no longer let me save the PDF. It simply skips the save window. It used to work fine up until this past week, but when I came into work on Monday morning it stopped working. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it won't work now!
DWG to PDF set to Maximum Quality (400 DPI)
DWG to PDF set to Custom 1200DPI
Adobe PDF set to Custom 4000DPI

Try opening the DWG file in AutoCAD 2013 and changing its file format to an older version of Autocad (i.e, 2010/2011/2012).
