Syncing wont work

I connected my shuffle to the compter and it said that the sync was complete but the shuffle won't accept any music from my library. I tried auto fill and also dragging the song over the ipod icon but nothing will work!!!

Try Resetting your iPod. Toggle the hold switch off and on a few times then hold down the MENU and SELECT (centre) buttons for five or ten seconds until you see the Apple logo appear then the menu button to go to the normal display: How to reset an iPod

Upgraded Outlook now PC Sync wont work.

I have recently upgraded my Microsoft Outlook from 2003 to 2007. Now PC Sync will only sync contacts. It wont sync calendar, notes or tasks.
It doesn't show an error message it appears to run fine but only syncs contacts.
My Versions are as follows.
OS - Win XP SP3
PC Suite - 7.1.31.0
PC Connectivity - 10.33.1.0
Outlook - 2007 SP 2
Connection via USB Cable
Phone Nokia E52 - SW 034.001
I have trawled the forums but had no success. I have tried the following:
-Installed latest version of OVI v2.2 That didnt work at all, wouldn't sync anything, clicked the Sync button but no response, same story with the drop down menus. Didn't like the software at all, it is also missing some of the features of PC Suite so I uninstalled it.
-Reset the Sync settings on PC sync and set it up from scratch.
-Deleted the /Private/10208913 folder from the phone
-Downloaded the Microsoft - kb952142 upgrade for Outlook and ran it.

I like to queue on this one. Problem persists longer. Seems to have something to do with the way PCSuite is installed on my computers (Acer).
I tried it with two different computers, two different os (w7 premium and w7 ultimate) and two different Nokias: a N82 and an E72.
I only can synchronise by hand. When i try to change the automated sync the settings like sync every 15 min are disappeared. While changing the settings I am always asked to fill in the location of Notes, again and again.
Anyone any idea

I have Win7 (legally) for 2 month now, and I had also some probs... but I used to have IT 8.2, and had problems updating to 9.0.
Try to get IT 8.2 Setup anywhere, install it, and then update to 9.0... that helped for me :-D

im trying to sync my ipod and it wont sync ALL of my podcasts. why?

The explanation I immediately have is that you bought the HD version of your TV show.
HD videos are not able to be synced to iPod classics, which is unfortunate.
The bright side is that that means you can spend less money on your videos since standard definition (SD) videos cost almost half as much as HD.
You should still be able to play these videos on your computer, just not your iPod.
If you want a refund, you may want to try to contact Apple and they might give you iTunes store credits. You can read other posts on that and others' experience.
But the rundown is to go into iTunes, look at your Account. You can do this by going to the iTunes store and signing in, then clicking on your email address in the corner. Once you are viewing your account, scroll to your purchase history and click see all. Once you find the order, click on "Report a Problem". You should be able to email someone at Apple. In my experience with this, they are very understanding and will get you a refund or new iTunes store credits.

HT1351 Manual sync wont work, it wont transfer the music it only lists the songs wich are grayed out

Hi, Not sure why I can only post this in older ipods when its my iphone 5 but here goes:
I double checked the article for manually managing songs and I'm doing it the same way, but the songs wont complete the transfer, they are just grayed out. I tried it with the iphone 5 over wifi and then directly connected to the computer with the usb cable and still no luck.

Ive always manually managed it because I hate that I can only sync on one computer and every time I would have to delete what was on the iPhone, which is stupid IMO.
You can blame the record label companies for that.
I'm running a little low on ideas. Perhaps you could still try and post over in the iPhone forums.

Firefox Sync wont work on mac os x

I tried using firefox sync with a local server to store data. I setup a server with instructions on http://docs.services.mozilla.com/howtos/run-sync.html
I am able to successfully use this from my linux desktop but when i try adding my mac os to the account it results in errors. I see unknown errors on sync. I tried using a new profile etc and errors were reproducible
I looked at sync-log and i see the following error:

Sync wont work?

Adobe cloud sync said "Unable to sync file(s)". When I click on the help it takes me to Adobe's website, where it just says "The Creative Cloud Connection preview is currently offline as Adobe upgrades the service". It appears that this has been the case for a while now? When will this be fixed or when can i use creative cloud to sync and the work on my adobe files from another computer?

Auto sync wont work on Vista

When I connect my iPod and auto sync it, iTunes freezes and I have to manually disconnect iPod from under My Computer. How do I fix this?

Sorry for the delay.
Be aware that iTunes is still not fully compatible with Windows Vista, and might still have problems with it. (we can do some troubleshooting, though).
Let's try a full reinstall of iTunes and QuickTime.
Disconnect your iPod from your computer.
Go to "Add or Remove programs" in Control Panel. Find "iTunes" and "QuickTime" on this list, and remove them both.
Then, download the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, to clear out the remaining iTunes and QuickTime installation files off your computer (see this MS document):
Description of the Window Installer CleanUp Utility
After you've done that, restart your computer.
Then, go to this page to install the iTunes + QuickTime installation pack onto your computer again:
Download iTunes - 7.1.1.5
Now, restart your computer once more.
After the computer has fully loaded up, open iTunes, and connect your iPod to your computer.
Try automatically syncing it with iTunes again, and see if it works or not.

I had a iphone 3gs on contract then upgraded to 4s then i allowed the sync between the 2 phones then deleted contacts off both phones tried a backup from iclud and now the phones are exactly the same and my main 4s wont work

i had a iphone 3gs on contract which ended so i upgraded to 4s. had the 3gs cleaned as a second phone for my partner. i then allowed the sync between the 2 so whatever was on mine would be on the other and vise versa. this meant the contacts was aswell so i deleted them not knowing they would be removed from both, i then tried a backup to icloud to restore the lost canotacts instead it seemed to clone my new 4s from my old 3gs and now the features on the 4s wont work. music and tunes have been lost along with all my messages

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

Imessage wont work/sync to MacBook

Hello! I updated to the new iOS 6 on my iPod and installed the update on my MacBook Pro.
But now my iMessages wont send on my iPod nor does iMessages sync my messages from said iPod to MacBook.
iMessages works fine of the MacBook Pro.
Any help would be greatly appraciated as I'm pulling my hair out to fix it.
Internet connect is great not the problem.

facetime wont work on mine either.
it's getting very irrating.
i've reset the ipod and got a new ID for all of it.

To Apple engineers: Home sharing and wifi sync not working after fresh install

Have been using wifi sync and home sharing on my Macbook 5,1 since its early debut.
Since Macbook 5,1 is old i am using it to stream MP4 files to my Apple TV.
The functionality has been working fine throughout the OSX iterations; then came Mavericks.
Now my iTunes library will not sync with Apple TV3, nor will my iPhone 5/iPad 3 wirelessly sync with my iTunes library.
For some reason since upgrading to Mavericks the thing wont work under normal boot.
Restarting in Safe mode solves the problem. Assuming it was some erroneous configuration i went through troubleshooting steps to try and resolve it.
First i uninstalled any third party apps.
Then i repaired, went through Maintenance and Cleaning of the system using Onyx
Then i tried manually removing third party boot kexts from the System Library and user Library
Then i tried reinstalling OSX via the recovery partition (cmd+r on boot time)
Finally i tried a full system erase and reinstall via an external bootable Mavericks USB.
After all these steps the problem persists.
There should be no hardware failure since it works fine in Safe mode and doing a clean install verifies that there are no third party conflicts with the system since iTunes was executed immediately after booting up for the first time.
This raises the concern that there seems to be some sort of system kext misconfiguration by the Apple engineers.
When executing iTunes the following errors are being displayed in the system log (via Console):

Single songs don't play even though they are synced and work fine on the computer??

I only recently discoverd this problem. Single songs that I synced into my iPod 5th gen just wont play (they used to work before) even though when I check on my iTunes they work fine and even after syncing it again and even reseting my iPod it just wont work. All that happens is that I click the play button on the song the cover art with the timeline pops up for a split second as if it is going to play and then it just goes back to the title menu with the songs name, and nothing plays. This only happens with a few songs that used to work fine but from what I've noticed its only from songs that are pulled out of an album and placed alone (as in I only have one song from an album on my iPod) even though other songs that are singles like that work fine. It's very confusing and I have no idea how to fix it, please help.

Odds are, the tracks causing the issue are bad. When the ipod tries to play a track that has a problem, it skips to the next track. I realize your track plays in iTunes, but iTunes can play just about anything. Just because something plays in iTunes, does not mean it will play on everything else.
Your best bet is to re-import the bad tracks or re-sample the ones you have. In iTunes you can do this by highlighting the track causing a problem then selecting create AAC or MP3 version... whatever options you get. Then take that new track and sync it and see if that fixes it.
