SyncML 2.5 invite people to event

Is there a way to invite people (or resources) to an event which you enter on your PDA and then send to the Oracle Calendar Server via SyncML v 2.5?

It's calendar appointments. I was getting a message something to the effect ":your device does not support meeting invitations." I swiped down, selected Settings and got some choices. The first is labeled "Local Calendar." No idea what that is but when I change from "None" to my email address, I get a warning "Are you sure? This email account is already attached to calendar "razdesigninc". Are you sure you want to switch it to calendar "Local Calendar?"" I have no freaking idea what this means."Local" is the calendar data stored ON your device.You already have a calendar setup with "razdesigninc" which is likely one of your email accounts.Set up with the one you prefer.dharding1 wrote:

 As for the Uber app, my wife has it on her BB10 but got help from Uber to add the app. Uber apparently has no one who knows how to do this now. I really want to like this phone but the iPhone is looking better every day.So, does you wife not recall what she did? Likely it's a sideloaded apk file or from the Amazon store or through the Snap app.

  • Why can't I invite people to events in Calendar app?

    When I open my calendar app and click to add a new event, the "Invitees" field does not appear and I cannot invite people to events. The field DOES appear on my iPhone (which is setup with a separate Apple ID).
    Does anyone know why this is happening? I have done countless searches to try to learn if there is a bug, but have not found anything.

    Figured it out.
    Didn't have my calendar syncing with iCloud. Turning that on fixed the problem.

  • Can't invite people to events in iCal

    I'm having problems inviting people to attend events in iCal on my Macbook Pro. It works fine on my iMac through a MobileMe subscription and through MobileMe the two computers and my iPhone sync perfectly.
    When I try and send out the invitations, it says that I need to create an address card for myself in address book. This is also synced through MobileMe to my iMac and iPhone so therefore I can't understand why it won't send out the email. The address details are the same and Mail works fine on both computers and the iPhone.
    Does anyone have any suggestions - I'm sure this is a quick fix but I simply don't know what else to do!

    You might want to open AddressBook, look for your address card (create one if you don't have one), and mark it as yours.
    Hope this helps

  • How to invite people to events in Calendar?

    I have been using my Mac, IPhone and IPad2 since quite a long time and just recently I noticed that, unlike Calendar in the Macbook Pro,  if you add an event in Calendar, you can't invite other people to it. Does someone know if there is fix around it?

    If you have an CalDAV calendar such as MobileMe, Gmail, Yahoo, etc... you should be able to invite people.
    You can do this by going to the Calendar application > Clicking the '+' button to make a new event > Where it says 'Invitees' you can click that and add folks who you want to invite to that calendar.
    This cannot be done with the iPad's default calendar, as there is no e-mail system that it is attached to.

  • HOW CAN INVITE PEOPLE IN A GROU EVENT ON ICAL WITHOUT THEM SEE EACH OTHER EMAIL ADDRESS

    HOW CAN INVITE PEOPLE IN A GROU EVENT ON ICAL WITHOUT THEM SEE EACH OTHER EMAIL ADDRESS ?

    Hi, I never use any of these, but according to this it uses eMal, so I'd think moving the adressees to the BCC: field should do it.
    Not the To: or CC: feild.

  • I invite people to an event I create on iCal, but in the invitation message received the invitees, the event seems to be scheduled for one hour earlier.

    Hi, no matter what setting I change, I am having the same problem.
    I invite people to an event I create on iCal, but in the invitation message received the invitees, the event seems to be scheduled for one hour earlier. E.g, I create the event for 14:00 GMT, yet the invitation message says 13:00 GMT. We are in the same time zone with the other people receiving the message. And I have my iCal settings as well as iCloud settings set to GMT.
    Can you please help me? I'm really frustrated!

    What exactly are you doing and what version are you using with OS X 10.8?

  • Returning more attributes in search set when inviting to new event

    Hi all,
    We are currently running SunOne Calendar 5.1 and some of our users are complaining that when inviting people to an event who have a common name (i.e. John Smith), quite often, more than one result is displayed in the search set. With two "John Smiths" who have no middle name, how do you determine who the correct person is you wish to invite?
    Is there any way of displaying other attributes in the search set (i.e. e-mail address), so users can select the correct person?

    I have found a solution to this issue. It seems that when using a programmatic view object which has a transient attribute as its primary key you need to override more methods in the ViewObjectImpl so that it knows how to locate the row related to the primary key when the view object records aren't in the cache. This is why it would work correctly sometimes but not all the time. Below are the additional methods you need to override. The logic you use in retrieveByKey would be on a view object by view object basis and would be different if you had a primary key which consisted of more than one attribute.
    @Override
    protected Row[] retrieveByKey (ViewRowSetImpl viewRowSetImpl, Key key, int i) {
        return retrieveByKey(viewRowSetImpl, null, key, i, false);
    @Override
    protected Row[] retrieveByKey (ViewRowSetImpl viewRowSetImpl, String string, Key key, int i, boolean b) {
        RowSetIterator usersRowSetIterator = this.createRowSet(null);
        Row[] userRows = usersRowSetIterator.getFilteredRows("UserId", key.getAttribute(this.getAttributeIndexOf("UserId")));
        usersRowSetIterator.closeRowSetIterator();
        return userRows;
    @Override
    protected Row[] retrieveByKey (ViewRowSetImpl viewRowSetImpl, Key key, int i, boolean b) {
        return retrieveByKey(viewRowSetImpl, null, key, i, b);

  • I am no longer am able to invite attendees to events in calendar: Thunderbird 31.4.0 and Lightening 3.3.2

    MacOs 10.9.5
    Thunderbird 31.4.0
    Lightening 3.3.2
    When I try and invite people to an event, I no longer get the documented attendee's window, instead I get something a bit off. See the attached. Maybe I just don't "get it" and documentation hasn't kept up with the window.

    I was able to partially fix this by removing both the beta version and the original 3.6.8 with revo uninstaller in a high mode and got everything but my prefs. It turns out there was a corruption of both as the profiles overlapped somehow. I opted to do a cookie removal of all the cookies that had anything to do with hotmail and windows.live.com sites as one or some of them were corrupt. By doing that i was able to save the rest of my prefs. The only thing is that sync will not work, has an unknown error whenever it tries to sync. I guess i have to redo the sync again as it can not adapt.
    I do not have beta anymore, I was sent an email that I would have to put it on a different directory ,which i had and another email that i had to use the -P option to have a separate profile and uncheck the box 'dont ask at start up' where ever it is. I had not been successful in just the normal uninstallation /reinstallation process but would had to remove all the prefs, and customizations as well and i opted to just change or remove the hotmail things first. so far it has addressed the one question /problem i had.

  • Why can't I invite attendees to events from my iPhone?

    When I create an event on my iphone is there a way to invite other attendees to the appointment.  Obviouvsly I can do this from ical on my macbook; however, I would like to be able to invite people using my iphone or ipad.  If this is not an option---wow--talk about an oversite by Apple.

    Yes, there is a way.  When you create an event, there is a section for invitees.  You can see it on the screenshot.

  • IPhone, calender, iCal, mail.app: probem inviting people to meeting

    Hi everyone,
    last night I downloaded the 3.0 Version. Everything runs fine but...
    I tried the new feature to invite people to appointments in calender. On the first sight everything works fine. But then there where Problems.
    My colleague received my invitation on his iPhone but the iPhone could not open the "winmail.dat".
    We then tried it using mail.app, where the "winmail.dat" was visible. The content of the "winmail.dat" could not be opened. Therefore iCal.app could also not handle the invitation.
    This feature is very important to me and surely to many others.
    Could anybody tell me what went wrong?
    kind regards, Uwe

    Ah! after talking to different people we found out that this might be the support for Exchange 2007 from Microsoft.
    What I have to tell is that we are using Zarafa as a replacement for Exchange.
    Probably this will be tha cause for the missing functionality.
    As far as we know the colleagues from Zarafa are working hard to update their Software.
    Still waiting for a solution,
    regards, Uwe

  • How can I remove "invitations" from a shared iCloud calendar when I am not actually invited to the event?

    How can I remove invitations from a shared iCloud calendar when I am not actually invited to the event?
    My wife and I share our calendars and she uses it very frequently. Every time she enters a new event on her calendar I get a notice (invitation?) in the Calendar app, even though I am not invited to the event she created.
    I would like to continue being able to share our calendars but I do not want the hassle of an Invitation popping up every time she enters an event.
    Thanks!

    You can sync photos and itunes content with one and only one computer at a time.  When you sync to another, it will erase the current content and  replace with content from the new computer.

  • To invite people is not working

    i want to invite people when making an appointment. this message is what i  get. who can solver this problem?

    TO_DATE converts a string to a date. TO_CHAR converts a date to a string. What is my_date?
    Edit: Just realised you said "my_date" is a string.
    Try
    select * from view_date
    where   TO_DATE(my_date,'???')
            between TO_DATE('01-dec-2006','dd-mon-yyyy') and TO_DATE('31-dec-2006','dd-mon-yyyy');or if you are dealing with literals you can use the more compact ANSI format:
    select * from view_date
    where   TO_DATE(my_date,'???') between DATE '2006-12-01' and DATE '2006-12-31';Avoid 2-digit years. You have no idea the problems that caused a few years back.
