Please explain in detail what would be the role and responsibilities of a SAP BW System Analyst.

BW Information analyst's Job Overview:
Participate as a lead analyst in the analysis, development, support and communication of SAP Business Warehouse (BW) projects for the company and its subsidiaries' data warehouse primarily in the Professional Services subject area. Accountable for full project life cycle, with emphasis on translation of user requirements into specifications for complex logical data models, source data capture, dictionary design, data integrity and overall warehouse design.
Consult with users/functional teams to gather and interpret their documented reporting requirements for various data warehouse projects. Develop logical data models using best practices for data capture, data dictionary design, maintenance and overall data integrity. Develop supporting business process procedures that allow for an automated data load and promulgation of data to the warehouse.
Provides support and consulting services to users and FIS Business Process Service teams in mining, analysis and interpretation of warehoused data
High level contributor, expected to provide guidance and direction to others on medium to large complex projects. Perform lead role in all levels and aspects of BW development life cycle. Provide detailed functional knowledge throughout the entire development process.
Provide status reports, isolate and resolve problems, initiate system enhancements as required.
Work with other BW staff to increase expertise in data modeling, project scoping and planning.
Analyze SAP Business Content components when delivered for relevance to the company**s projects including initiation of new projects.

HUGE amount of data in flat file every day to external system
Hello,
i have to develop several programs to export all tables data in a flat file for external system ( EG. WEB).
I have some worries like if is possible by SAP export all KNA1 data that contains a lot of data in a flat file using the extraction:
SELECT * FROM KNA1 ITO TABLE TB_KNA1.
I need some advices about these kind of huge extractions.
I also have to extract from some tables, only the data changes, new record, and deleted records; to do this I thought of developing a program that every day extract all data from MARA and save the extraction in a custom table like MARA; the next day when the programs runs compare all data of the new extraction with the old extraction in the ZMARA table to understand the datachanges, new records or deleted record.. It's a righ approach? Can have problems with performance? Do you now other methods?

Byeyou should not have a problem with this simple approach, transferring each row to the output file rather than reading all data into an internal table first:
open dataset <file> ...
select * from kna1 into wa_kna1
transfer wa_kna1 to <file>

Hi. I am in need of advice - and am not very IT savvy! I have a MacBook Pro 10.6.8 OS. A site I use every day told me today it would only open in 32-bit mode. I researched and found some advice on how to choose 32-bit mode in system preferences. I do not have that box to click in system preferences. Can anyone tell me as to why suddenly this has happened, and any suggestions on how to go back to 32-bit mode would be great! I did try restarting holding down the 3 & 2 keys as suggested too. No luck. Thanks for any help.
Does the site use 32-bit mode Java? If that's the case, you should have both 32 and 64-bit enabled though Java Preferences in your Utilities folder:

Mac Pro turns itself on every day at the same time
My Mac Pro suddenly decided to start turning itself on every day at 6:00:12pm local time (12:00:12AM GMT). It turns on at exactly 12 seconds after 6:00pm every day.
I recently upgraded to OSX 10.5 and installed the point update. It did it before the point update and continues to after the point update.
I have had it since April and it has never done this before. It did NOT do this under 10.4.
I have the options in system settings to NOT wake on LAN event and NOT restart after power failure. It is NOT set to automatically turn on but it is set to automatically turn itself off at 1:00am.
These settings have not changed since 10.4 and I have verified them. No other software has recently been installed since the update to 10.5. I did update the Wacom driver to the new Leopard driver. That is all. I have the Wacom tablet unplugged from the computer.
Any ideas?

Safari Crashes Every day and I want to scream
Hello all. I am having problems with Safari and I have noticed that it occurs all the time I access Invasion Power Board messageboards. At first, it would only do it on one of the boards I frequent twice a day, crashing at the rate of at least once a week, but recently, it began doing it on another that I frequent all day and it crashes at least five times a day every day. It does the crashing randomly after I select on a message topic or even loading the site initially. If anyone can help me resolve the issue, it would be much appreciated.

My app seems to consume an enormous amount of API calls every day? Please help!
I am tired and sad and frustrated here, and feel like a total moron. I am very sorry if my post is too long and not very well put together, but im beggin anyone with some experience here to please give me some advice.
I am currently testing out a app I have created to let people add events, search for events, comment on and get notified about changes in events they have signed up for. I have used Azure Mobile Service for this, and it all seems to have worked well. This is
mostly a learning app for me, since I am very much a noob.
Now we are nearing launch of the app, and I have started to look at the numbers in Azure. I am on the free version right now, where 16k api calls a day are free (will move to priced tier on launch) - but the numbers look completely off the hook here!
Every day 2-3 devices seem to run up 600-700 API calls. I do run the testing app hard, of course, but I guess some user might do that to.
So - 4% of the daily free calls are consumed by 3 devices. That means 33 users could fill the quota, and the first paid tier only gives room for 300 users.
Am I reading something wrong here? Is my app then not viable? I think it, even with my noobness, has a potentil to get a few thousand users. Does that mean Im gonna have to go to the top tier? Because I can not afford that.
Over to the stack part of the question:
I log the user in, I create the tables, and then when they hit search I do something like this:

I would expect that to be a single API-call, but it seems to run up tens of calls - just there? How is that possible?
When the user is not in the app, I run a background service in Android that goes through a local db of events the user has created and then checks against the db for any changes to them. I do that like this:

I am horribly lost here, people. I ran around a hundred random clicks around the app this evening - and racked up over 1500 api calls. I have been cold sweating since that. Disconnecting roughly at the same time every day.

I have a homehub 5 and I am currently on BT Infinity 2.
Every day between 17:00-17:20 my router disconnects and reboots itself. I've noticed in the Boot section of the Hub's Event Log the words "Watchdog Reset". Is there a problem with my router?
The disconnects happen whether I'm using the internet or not.

Last week I noticed that my router was disconnecting every night at around 9:00pm.
Since last weekend it has changed its routine and now disconnects at around 11:00pm. I have also had the watchdog reset message in the log but only once.

Around the time of the disconnection, my hub also seems to go back by an hour, and then resets the time to the correct time after NTP sync. see below. Does yours do this?

Also, do you see any of the CWMP messages like the one in my log, happening at around the same time?
I suspect that these CWMP are somehow triggering the disconnections, and it has something to do with the last firmware update that happened mid-January.
Someone suggested that I should perform a factory reset of the hub.
I'm a little reluctant to do so as this turns the openwifi service back on as default, and in the past I have had problems restoring my backed up settings. as the saved config file was corrupted.
I am considering giving the factory reset a go when I have some time at the weekend.
You may want to give it a go also.

Computer turns itself on every day at 8PM PLEASE HELP
Hi I have an imac running 10.5.4. It turns itself on every day at 8PM. My auto on setting are unselected in the power options, and the auto off is set to 1:30 AM. I am also running windos xp with VM Fusionware. Can anyone please help?
ThanksI have the older intel based mac and I unplugged everything from the machine for 20 seconds to reset the SMC and it still turns on at 8pm every day. any other suggestions??

my internet service seems to drop out every day. I'll be reading the New York Times online, say, without an issue and when I click to go to page two, I get a "can't connect to the internet" warning. I can go back to pages I've already seen, but anything new -- including frequent sites like gmail and amazon that I visit every day -- won't come up.
Quitting out of the browser and restarting doesn't work and the internet preference pane under system prefs says I just don't have any internet service. I reboot the cable modem, but no success. Only when I reboot the Mac itself am I able to restore service.
I've tried switching browsers (originally a Firefox user, so I went back to Safari) but that didn't work. I tried turning off Google Notifier, the only updated software I've installed in the past couple of weeks since I started having this problem, and that didn't work.
If I reboot, it comes back without a hitch and everything works just fine. I don't have to reboot the cable modem, even, I just reboot the Mac. Which seems to indicate it's a Mac problem and not with Road Runner.
I've also tried the fix suggested in this forum of removing com.apple.systempreferences.plist and rebooting, but that didn't work either. (which is to say, the rebooting worked but now I still have the problem back again, so it didn't seem to solve the issue).
Any suggestions here? It's quite annoying, as you might expect.

1.42 ghz G4 mac mini / 512m ram Mac OS X (10.4.8)no, it's a Toshiba cable modem. I don't lose any of the lights on the modem when this happens, and if I don't touch the modem and just restart the Mac, internet service immediately comes right back.
Conversely, leaving the computer alone and restarting the cable modem (which I used to have to do once a week with my old Linksys wireless router/AP) doesn't solve the problem.
I fear that deep in the bowels of my Mac a tiny process imp wakes up from its ghoulish slumbers and fiddles with some setting or other, leaving the Mac unable to talk to the modem. It then cackles fendishly and goes back to sleep and only a restoration of original settings will make things right again.
I've set up a generic user to test out BDAqua's theory; we'll see what happens. Thanks for all your input so far gents! -

My new Mac Mini Server 2011, with lion, sleeps every day! Server not responding.
All services are down, smb, vnc, ssh too. And it not should be happen because this is a server, right?
Please, I need help with this problem!
How to fix it?1. Go to System Preferences.
2. Select Engery Saver
3. Slide the setting for Computer sleep to never.
4. Slide the setting for Display sleep to never (though I believe the display should be able to sleep without much issue.
5. Make sure the following are not selected:
a. Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible.
b. Allow power button to put the computer to sleep.
6. Make sure the following are selected:
a. Wake for network access
b. Start up automatically after a power failure
c. Restart automatically if the computer freezes.

PRs generated every day for consignment stock

we have schedualiing agreemet in place for some of our consingment stock but we are fadng issue that every day system generates PR for some of those materials for no reason.Ithese materials are MRP relevant.
any suggestion.
thanksIf scheduling agreements have been set up for the consignment materials, the schedule lines should have been created instead of PRs.
Do check your source list for the affected materials; ensure that the scheduling document and line items are entered. Also ensure that '2' is entered under the MRP relevancy field.
Other things you can check include the validity date of the source list.
