System Automatically Disable Data Block

I always have my account Data Block enabled so that I will not be charged data usage. When I have the new Kin TwoM set up, I did not know the Data Block was automatically disabled without noticed. I thought that the phone was using home WiFi until I saw the data usage was 70MB. For $2 per MB, it is $140. Verizon is so rediculous to do this kind of trick.

when i activated my kin via the website, i read in the new term sheet that my data block were not there. so after activating i immediately checked and blocked it again. i think because of this, i am now constantly checking #3282 and online account because like in your case, i wouldn't want to be charged for that much of money just because somehow it is "unblocked".
maybe u can explain your case to the customer service ppl?

How to disable any record in a Tabular Data Block

I have a tabular data block having 10 records, every record has a check box(1 check box on each row). I want to disable all items in that particular record where user checks the check box(check box is UNCHECKED by default).
Is this possible in WHEN-CHECK-BOX-CHANGED trigger or any other trigger ?, if so, how, please help.

You cannot disable a single row in detail block. Instead You can set the UPDATE_ALLOWED property to FALSE. By this the user can't change the contents.

Disabling save message when leaving a database data block

Hi all,
im using Forms 6i
I have two data blocks that are database blocks, then the user opens an excel file and a function starts filling the forms with data obtained form the file.
If i only fill one block there is no problem, but if i start filling the two when i leave one block with go_block it asks me to save the changes.... is it possible to disable that message and then when the procedure finish filling the two blocks the user can commit changues with F10?

System automatically truncating the data

i am using jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0.
i have created field called price it's length is Number(22,12) . whenever user is giving more than 22 digits system is truncating the 22 digit to fractional number.
ex:user input: 1234567980123456789012
system showing: 1.234567980123 .
is there any solution for the above problem.

System automatically generate a relevant master data

Hi,
Is it possible for a given I/O (0Doc_type) if the transaction data is huge. the system automatically generate a relevant master data for that.
if it possible can we have a specific delete procedure for that .Coz its a system generated one.

Whatever your asking is not standard way.
Always we load transaction data loads after the master data load only.
Coming your issue - We can't generate master data as you need. You need to maintain by manual or load thru flat file or source.

Does data base requests data in term's of Data blocks or operating system block's . If data block's , how an data block get accessed the operating system block . what are the advantages over separating the data blocks from the operating system block's . can any one please explain the what happens once the data base requests the data ?

Are you using IPM commit driver for commiting the document from ODC?

User Identities being automatically disabled by System

This is a weird one. Had devices failing PEAP authentication because internal user disabled.Checked Administration > Identities > Users and sure enough user was disabled. Re-enabled, but next day same thing. Reviewed configuration logs and found that "System" was disabling the account every night at midnight.
At first this was just one user identity but now it is affecting all.
Doesn't affect endpoint identities, only users.
We are on version 1.1.4 patch 2. We cannot move to a newer patch until Cisco resolves a separate issue for us.

There is a setting for local accounts to expire when password has not been changed in 60 days. Disable the setting, or change your passwords. Administration --> Identity Management --> Settings --> User Password Policy.
Please uncheck the option and try again.

Can't remotely connect to my server if I automatically set date and time

Hello.
I have configured my OS X 10.6.2 server and am able to remotely manage it.
The only ports I have opened on my router is for Mail and VPN services.
Things work perfectly because I can connect using VPN to iChat, iCal, Address Book, Server Admin, Workgroup Manager, AFP, FTP and such.
The problem is that on my laptop from home, or wherever, if its time is set to update automatically from an NTP server (I have tried with Apple's as well as my server for the NTP Servers) then I cannot connect to my server at all...
The moment I turn off the auto date and time and reconnect to the office's VPN, I am able to use Server Admin, AFP, FTP, Workgroup Manager, Screen Sharing, etc, etc, etc.
It's utterly frustrating because I have to open system preferences, disable the automatic date and time update, connect to the VPN and do stuff on the server. Then I have to disconnect from VPN and re enable the auto date and time.
Could someone explain why this is happening and any possible solutions I might be able to try?

OK, after some testing things seem to be working now.
I opened the NTP port for my server (So I don't have to be on VPN to update the time)....But regardless of that, Server admin and my corporate site work fine.
Here is my problem, I don't understand why it's working now when 30 minutes ago I was having trouble connecting to my server regardless of what NTP Server I used.
The only service I can't access is Workgroup Manager, but I don't know if that is supposed to be accessible only locally (though it doesn't matter since I can screen share but I would still like to know).

I was even able to detect the row that is generating the issue.

List box in data block

Hi,
I have trouble implementing a form that uses 2 master table. I tried using the one suggested here

but doesn't seem to support the specification I want.
I have 2 tables say EMP and DEP, with the DML target table being EMP.
But I also want to display the DEP.NO ( = EMP.DEP_NO) plus the DEP.NAME(which should disabled for change) but the field should be combo/list box
This is so when I insert a new data, I can just select from the combo box field(which should be populated with all the possible values from DEP.NO in the DEP table). And when I select the DEP.NO, the DEP.NAME will automatically show. But if you just want to UPDATE, DEP.NO should be disabled (only ones from EMP table is enabled for CHANGE.)...

Based on your description, you actually have just one master table and the second table is being used for reference only as it simply supplies the DEPT_NO and DESCRIPTION based on the DEPT_NO on the EMP record. There is no need to a block based on a join in this situation. Just create a data block based on the EMP table and populate your List Item (Poplist) using the value from the DEPT table.
Do you really need to see the DEPT_NO of the department or will the department name stored in the DESCRIPTION column be enough? A Poplist will only display one value, typically the description of the underlying code (DEPT_NO). If your Department Poplist is attached to the EMP.DEPT_NO column in your form the description will automatically be displayed for the underlying EMP.DEPT_NO. If a user changes the Department using the Poplist the underlying EMP.DEPT_NO will receive the associated DEPT_NO and Forms will record a change has been made.
When a new record is created, the Department Poplist will be NULL until your user selects a department from the list.
This should satisfy your requirement!

Firstly, if you have 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' enabled on any of your devices, turn it off.
Create a new email address at Yahoo or Gmail. Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your Apple ID'. Sign in with the current Yahoo ID.
Where it says 'Apple ID and primary email address' and gives your Yahoo email, click 'edit'.
Enter your new address and click 'Save changes'.
Now you will need to go to each of your devices and sign out in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - 'Sign out' on a Mac, 'Delete this account' on an iOS device (this will not delete the account from the server).
Then sign back in with your new ID. Your iCloud data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in.
I re-iterate: before you start, turn off 'Find My Mac' (or whatever) or you will need the services of Support.

Data blocks in forms 6i, can not see the data

i have built an application in forms with some data blocks. the blocks a connect to some tables in the db. i have built them connectd as "system". but when i run the applicatio as user x i can do select, insert, update, delete, but i can not se the records in the datablocks (they are empty), but i can do all transactios. why?

First of all, developing from the System schema is not a good idea.
Who owns the tables your form is connecting to? The table owner should create a public synonym for each table name, and also needs to grant user x access to the table.
