All System Centre Stack on 1 Instance of SQL Server
Apologies : there does not appear to be a forum where this fits
I am in the process of doing a design for a client who wants the whole system centre stack installed but on one instance of a SQL 2012 Cluster.
I can find
SQL Server Requirements for System Center 2012 R2:

however what I need is something to back this up and there does not appear to be anything available.

PaulThank you all. After coming into the office today I checked the event logs on VM1. All afternoon I had been getting 4 events every 15 minutes;
Three x 21023 - OpsMgr has no configuration for management group SCOM12 and is requesting new configuration from the Configuration Service
And one error, 20070 The OpsMgr Connector connected to SCOM12.test.local, but the connection was closed immediately after authentication occurred. The most likely cause of this error is that the agent is not authorized to communicate with the
server, or the server has not received configuration. Check the event log on the server for the presence of 20000 events, indicating that agents which are not approved are attempting to connect.
However at 00:04, I can see an event log 21019 - OpsMgr has returned to communicating with it's primary hostSCOM12.test.local and since then regular Health Service logs.
I checked in OM and now it is showing as Healthy and monitored - I guess this just needed a lot of time to configure itself? Is this normal behaviour?
I also checked VM1 TCP 5723 which it says was not open (the firewall is off on the server however it is working in OM.

Can DPM share a remote SQL Instance with other System Centre Products?
Firstly, apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I can't seem to find a definitive line on it.
I am about to install and start implementing DPM 2012 R2 and have restricted access to SQL instances and the creation of. Can DPM share a SQL instance? Mainly can it share an instance shared with other System Centre products?

No, Each DPM server requires it's own dedicated instance name. You can have a single remote SQL server, but with seperate instances for each DPM server, or other System Center products.
Make sure that names of your instances does not contains an underscore in the instance name.

Thanks for your reply. I have gone through the links which you have mentioned. As per the Overview of Operations Manager 2007 R2 section in What's New & Improved in Operations Manager 2007 R2 document it is clearly mentioned the below points:
Delivers monitoring across Windows, Linux and Unix servers–all through a single console.
Extend end to end monitoring of distributed applications to any workload running on Windows, Unix and Linux platforms.
The Cisco Servers are also Windows and Linux Based.

SCCM HW inventory agent runs as the ‘SYSTEM’ and cannot see the end-users network drives and printers. The following two step process will help circumvent the above stated limitation.
1) CREATE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SCCMINVENTORY\NETWORKPRINTERS PATH IN THE REGISTRY.
Create a SCCM package.
The package should run as administrator.
The package should run whether or not a user is logged on.

and that is it. The SCCM resource explorer should soon see the Network Printers.
Now, this is a convoluted process but this is the only way I can inventory Network printers. Any ideas or suggestions?All the other ways are similar because this is a per-user setting.

How to install System Centre Service Manager Console on any PC
Hi, I'm new to the forum, and am trying to get SCSM installed into the organisation for Servicedesk purposes.
According to several pieces of documentation, I should be able to "manually install the Service Manager console as a stand-alone piece on a computer". However, I am unable to find any documentation or instructions on how to install a fat console on a PC.
Can someone help me with the instructions.
I understand that future versions could well include an Analyst Webportal, which hopefully will mature the Analyst environment significantly (currently with CR support on portal only, and having to use console is far from ideal.)We had created a SCCM package to deploy SCSM 2010 SP1 console to user's PC. Remove system centre essentials 2007
I have deinstalled SCE2007SP1 from the server because there where many problems with it. I do not want to install SCE again on the server. i cannot install it again so i am done with it.
But the clients are not first deinstalled so how can i install the agent on all clients and servers?
In Active Directory there is a gpo that points to the SCE server because of the updates so that i am gonna change to another WSUS server.
How to remove the client agents without logging in on the clients off course....

I have checked the runjmt.log its empty.
I did find a note 966752.but couldnt solve the problem.Another thing do we need to have same version of j2sdk,mine are different on source(ia64) and target(x64).

Migration from 5.1 to SAP BPC 7.0 NW?
In that case when you are speaking about the installation about what part are you speaking?
I think actually you are speaking about the migration tool from 4.2 to 7.0 Microsoft version .
In that case you can install the mIgration tool just with SAP BPC sys admin users and you have to input the password for that user. Sys admin user for BPC is usually the user used for installation of SAP BPC server.
Any way I suggest to follow the Migration tool training document and there you will find all the information necessary.

Lens profiles not available in Lightroom CC
I have downloaded and installed lens profiles but they do not show in Lightroom CC as choices in the drop down menu? They were there for Lightroom 4 but not since I purchased and installed Lightroom 5 via the Creative Cloud?
