"System component X11, is not installed"

I have CrossOver running on my IMac but after i upgraded to Mountain Lion I keep getting an error saying "System component X11, is not installed" Please install the X11 application using the Optional Installs package on your Mac OS X install disc.
How to install this when I have downloaded the upgrade ???

X11's basically gone in ML. DL and install XQuartz 2.7.3.

X11.app not installed

Hi All,
I'm perplexed. I'm trying to install X11.app from my Tiger DVD and am failing miserably.
I've tried installing:
XcodeTools.mpkg
X11SDK.pkg
I do a search, still no app called x11.app
What do i need to install?????

X11 is included in the Tiger DVD, but it is not installed by default. To install X11:
Install the Tiger DVD in drive.
Use Spotlight to search for a file named X11User.pkg It is probably located in /Volumes/Mac OS X Install DVD/System/Installation/Packages
Click on package to begin installation process.
Please post back with further questions.

For a couple of weeks now almost every document I receive by email, and even some old documents of my own on my hard disk, will not open by double-clicking. When I do double-click a dialogue box appears which says "OpenOffice.org for Mac OS X cannot be started, because the X11 software is not installed. Please install Apple X11 first from the Mas OS x install DVD. More information: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/faq/installing/X11.html". Please note that I can open all these docs OK from within Word etc (i.e. by going File / Open .....)
Not having the Apple Install disk with me (I am traveling at the moment) I made some investigations and downloaded Open XML File Format Converter for Mac v 1.0 but clearly this has not solved the problem as I hoped.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

For some reason, the default on your docs has been changed.
If you right-click the document in question and select "Open With" and then select "Other" and browse to your MS Office Word app, you can select it. Be sure to check "Always Open With" to make it the default for the future so you do not have to repeat this procedure.

System tells me quicktime not installed when trying to update to CC

updating to CC; takes a long time then I get an alert to say quicktime not installed, so some features will not be available. If I click to continue, I notice I do not have H264 compression available as a render option, (don't know if this is related!) I'm on Mac 10.8.4 - Quicktime player is installed cheers Alistair

System says battery is not installed-HUH??

My computer's battery has an "X" over it and it tells me that the battery is currently not available. The computer only turns on whenever it is connected to the AC Adapter. After going on the website and doing all the steps it told me to (remove and reseat the battery, update both Mac OSX to 10.4.9 and the Battery to 1.2) except for resetting the PMU, the "X" persists.
I looked for the Battery Information and found that the computer tells me that the battery is not installed. When I touch the button on the battery below the computer no lights turn on.
Does this mean my battery is completely kaputt and that I should get a new one or does it still have a chance after performing some other things on the computer??

There are a variety of articles in the knowledge base on how to reset the PMU and see if that fixes your problem. If not, you will need to get a replacement battery.
Take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store. They're great about this stuff and should give you a replacement battery on the spot.

SharePoint 2010 trial is not installed in windows 7

I have downloaded Sharepoint 2010 Server Trial from this link

When i am trying to install after downloading in Windows 7 System, alert message shown as "This product requires windows server 2008 service pack 2 or above"

I try that solution installation gets start at the end there is an error in installation when i open the setup log file
MSXML version check passed. Minimum required version is [6.10.1129], installed Version is [6.30.7600.16385].

Is there a way to install X11 without re-installing OSX?

I cannot find a way of installing X11 without re-installing OSX.
I've looked on the cd for the installer but with no luck.
The X11 installer isn't located in the bundled software installer and X11 will not install with the X11 SDK.
The retail verson of tiger has an optional istall on the disk but it will not work with intel macs. And the X11 download from apple will not work with Tiger (not even in Rosetta).
I've found the X11 install option when I restart my MacBook with the install DVD inside and am asked to reinstall Tiger. This doesnt do me any good because i dont want to do a fresh install of tiger just to get X11.
Does anyone know a way around this issue?

Install Bundled Software (which does not contain X11)
Install OSX and Bundled Software (which requires you to reinstall OSX to Install X11)

I want to install Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme on my Windows XP x64 Professional computer, but i am not able to succesfully finish 64bit X-Fi driver installation. Whether i use newer x64bit X-Fi beta driver or older official x64bit X-Fi driver, the installation of the driver stops at the end of the installation, when "CTDVINST.DLL" file is being installed and MY COMPUTER REBOOTS instantly. After the reboot, i am being asked to install Soundblaster X-Fi driver again and again. So all the X-Fi software installs well, but when i want to upgrade to x64bit drivers downloaded from Creative web site, the installation process reboots my computer right at the end of it, when "CTDVINST.DLL" file (it seems to be the last file in the driver package) is mentioned.
Help me please solve this problem, so that i can use my new Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme on my computer soon.

- new Windows installation did not help,
- it is not caused by x64bit operating system, beacuse it did not install neither on Win XP 32bit
- i tryed both driver updates (2 and 3) on both operating systems
- i tryed to start driver installation from X-FI Driver\Drivers\Support\ctzapxx.exe, no change at all
- i tryed to uninstall previous driver first through ctzapxx.exe as well
- i tryed to install the driver on fresh installation of both Windows XP x64bit and x32bit
driver installation reboots the computer just a percent before it should finish, allways, no matter how i try to install the driver

Updates Are not Installing within dead line.

Hi can any body help me regarding the below issue I have deployed updates and the updates are downloaded maximum of systems but it is not installing I am waiting since last ten days but there is no changes so what I will do the next step.

automatic patch installation will start after deadline is reached. your users must manually install updates using configmgr software update icon shown in taskbar before deadline
as per their convenience. hope you have enabled display notification & your users are aware about software update process.

X11 Refuses To Install?

I'm having a bit of a problem. I'm trying to run Darwine, but whenever I try it tells me x11 is not installed.
obviously, my next move was to head on over to apple and download x11, but when I run the installer file it tells me that a newer version is already on my machine.
How can I wipe any existing version of x11 off of my machine and reinstall it?
In case it's important, it's a Macbook running OSX 10.5.6.

Is there no way to get it without using the install disc? my disc is at home and I'm at university. it's going to be a while until I go back.
Do you have Applications -> Utilities -> X11
Anyone else at University have a Mac you could borrow the DVD from for 10 minutes?
There is also a web site that has X11 builds using the latest software (bleeding edge stuff). It is not an Apple site.

I have been using itunes on my windows based pc for years but since installing the latest itunes update I have been getting the error message A required itunes component is not installed. Please reinstall itunes. (-42404)

I have been using itunes on my windows 64 bit laptop for years but since downloading the latest itunes 10.7 update whenever I opened itunes the error message 'A required itunes component is not installed. Please reinstall itunes (-42404)'
Itunes would still load and play music in my library and I could still sync my ipod but when loading a CD itunes would not recognise the album/tracks and I would need to type them manualing after uploading.
I have just bought the new iphone5 and went to sync the phone with itunes. itunes recognises the iphone when plugged in via the usb port or when wi fi is turned on but itunes will not allow the phone to sync.
I spent over an hour the other morning speaking to apple customer support and have ensured I have administer right and that UAC is turned off.
I was taken through msconfigure and adjusted the startup tab but still no joy.
In the end I was e-mailed instructions on how to uninstall and then reinstall itunes and component parts.
Now that I've uninstalled itunes when I try reinstalling I get the following messages during the download.
The 1st message is;
'The installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\Web kit.resources\inspector\Images\Spinner Inactive Selected.gif.'
When I click ok the next message that appears sometime later during the install is;
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) Failed to start Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
The options I have are to abort, retry or ignore. If I retry the same message comes back and if I abort or ignore the download continues and I then get the following message:
'Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run itunes Helper. Please uninstall itunes, then reinstall itunes again. Error 2'
After attempting to reinstall itunes only some components were installed however itunes would not open.
It would appear many people have experienced problems with this latest download!

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Here my question is in lab center-->virtual machine, IE has opened automatically and navigated the 2 or 3 links and with in seconds IE has getting closed. Why IE is getting closed without completing execution?

We are using VS 2013 (premium) and IE 10.0, scripts have been created on the same versions. It is working fine on
developers command prompt but the same tests are getting failed in lab center test agent machine
