Hi Asim,
1.I was getting error at Abap phase load error .So i have merge the tsk & bak files by r3laod and manually set ign in tsk files .Should i change the ign status back to error. Is this could be the problem causing in adjusting table name phase.
Status "ign" will ignore the object from being imported into the database. This may lead to inconsistency and loss of data.
2.We have used abap export using Sap inst only .Will that not effect if using import by SWPM
Actually SWPM also contains sapinst tool. But As I never never used this approach , I would suggest you to give a try and check.
Else you may need to perform fresh export and then import using SWPM.
Hope this helps.

    Hi
    Thanks,
I need to add these SAPDATAs also to the

(As per note 498395 - Installation aborts at step GETDBSIZEKEYS_IND_IND)
It seems I have not mentioned the SAPDATA10 in the DBMIG.R3S file.
After mentioning it in the DBMIG.R3S file, the phase completed successfully.

  • Acitivites  R/3 quality and BW qualilty in case of System copy(database )

    Hi,
We have carried out system copy (database copy )  to refresh r/3 qualtiy server from r/3 production server.
client no of r3/ qulaity is same (earlier it was 500 and and after system copy also it is ketp same ie 500).
Now we want to know what are the acitivites that are required to be carried out in  R/3 quality and BW quality as we want to refesh data in  bw quality.
we already have source system RQ1CLNT500  in BW under SAP node and on running check connection option it show message "source system connection RQ1CLNT500 OK.
But still when we want to fetch data in PSA it shows following message
"No transfer structure is available for InfoSource 0FS_PORTFOL_TEXT in the source system"
can anybody guide us to solve the problem

    LIC of India,

    Hi ,
This is common issue comes due to upgrade /system copy .
This is caused because table ROOSGEN does not contain an entry for the erroneous Datasource.
The entries in ROOSGEN table are generated in $TMP (Temporary package) and sometimes after upgrade, they disappear.
It happen if the extract structure of a DataSource gets a new timestamp we often enhance DataSources between different releases, upgrades .
so the normal procedure should be to replicate the DataSources into BW in order to get the currently valid set of metadata. Solution:
In case of 7.0 DataSources, you need to reactivate them by using the program RSZ_DATASOURCES_ACTIVATE_ALL and if the issue occurs for few datasources, they can be activated manually also.

Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "GP4II5O0KKJ13RR6R50N44F7KST" had to be terminated
    because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
    in
procedure "WRITE_ICFACT" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
the database and that record already exists with the same key,
    this results in a termination.
(With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)

Nice - but how should we now find out what you problem is? We have no magic ball to look into..
    > We are doing Hetrogenous system copy.
Be aware that you need a certified migration consultant on-site for a heterogeneous copy. Otherwise you'll loose support for problems during the migration and for the target system (http://service.sap.com/osdbmigration --> FAQ).

  • "Table VSEOPARENT is not in the database" after SolMan system copy to x64

    Hi SDNners,
We've just completed a system copy of our SolMan 3.1 system onto a new
(Xeon x64 based) server. This system copy is part of the process of
moving SolMan 3.1 from an old server onto 64bit hardware and then
upgrading it to SolMan v4 and Oracle 10G.
Although the system appears to start properly in the MMC, we are unable
to log into the system through SAPGUI - we get a SYNTAX_ERROR window
    instead of a logon screen.
I've checked the SysLog from within the MMC and noticed a number of
    errors stating:
Database: Table VSEOPARENT is not in the database
Database: Table VSEOIFIMPL is not in the database
Database: Table VSEOIFCOMP is not in the database
I tried running SQL command 'select * from "SAPSOL"."VSEOPARENT"; and
it confirmed that the table didn't exist. I then ran the same command
on the source SolMan system and it showed that VSEOPARENT DID exist. I
don't understand how these VSEO* tables could have gone missing between
    the source and target systems.
I've searched OSS for VSEO* and cannot find anything. Please help!
    Thanks,
    Arwel.

We have 640 kernel, ECC 5.0 and BASIS patch 23.
For me the problem was with SAPVIEW table wasnt imported from source to target becuase SAPVIEW.STR file was 0 byte. STR files gets created in export preparation phase.
It did happen because on source side master DVD, there was no option for export preparation. I had only option for tablesplit and export db.
I did use ECC 5.0 SR2 Master DVD which had option for export preparation phase and that created SAPVIEW.STR file.
Using migration monitor I did re-export and re-import and this time all views are imported in target.
    Regards,
    Mamadi.

    Hi Arwel,
how exactly did you copy the database to the new server?
the tables you stated are an essential part of the ABAP runtime environment, so the syntax error is surely because of these tables are missing.

  • Logical System Name after System Copy

    Hello,
I have three questions about the logical system name after system copy.
Q1) When I change SID D22 to S11 during system copy,
do I have to change the logical system name of all clients in the target system? The target system is used for test, and the landscape has S11 and Virtial system. The target system S11 does not communicate with the source system D22.
Q2)  If the answer for Q1 is YES, is it correct that the following procedure for changing logical system name?
    1.Tr-CD:BD54
Add new logical system name for all clients in the target system.
    2.Tr-CD:SCC4
As for all clients, select new logical system name with F4 help.
Q3) If the answer for Q1 is YES, do I have to add new RFC connection entries with SM59 for all clients in the target system?
I refer to the guide "Homogeneous and Heterogeneous
System Copy for SAP Systems Based
    on SAP Web Application Server
    ABAP 6.40 SR1".
    thanks,
    Keishi

    Hi Keishi,
As a good and ideal practice the answer to your first question Q1 is yes. Infact I would say that in case you are using ALE then it is must
For Q2 there has to be an additional step which is most important one. Running BDLS transaction which would allow you to change logical systems in relevant tables from the one of source system to target system.
For Q3  the answer is agaain yes and you can have two approaches>
    1. manually recreate all the RFC destinations after sys. copy.
    2. Export all the RFC destination data relevant tables before system copy and then reimport them after sys. copy.

  • QCM tables delete for System copy

    HI,
I am doing a system copy sourse:
    SAP SR2 6.0
    OS: HP-UX 11.23
    Database: Oracle 10.2.0.2.0
    Target System:
    SAP SR3
OS: Red Hat Linux Ent. 5.4
    Database 10.2.0.4
In the system copy guide it is mentioned to clear QCM table before start sapinst in source system.
    The precautions mentioned are:
That the tables are consistent u2013 no restart log or conversion procedure termination must be displayed
That the data of the original table can be read
If application programs that use the affected original table do not run correctly, do not delete the QCM table yet.
and If i run SE14 and get the list of QCM tables it is as below:
    =======================================================
Temporary tables from conversion without restart log
      Object name
      QCMCE4REDN_ACCT
      QCMT77RCF_SRCH_
      QCMYREDG_WF001
    ======================================================
Please suggest me if I can remove these tables? What would be the impact?

    Dear Rajat ,
QCM Tables should be deleted before starting the migration ,
    check the following SAP note
9385 - What to do with QCM tables (conversion tables)
to delete QCM tables. call transaction SE14 and select 'Extras->Invalid temp. table' in the menu bar This displays all the QCM tables that can be deleted. You can highlight these and choose a pushbutton to delete them

  • DB02 view is empty on Table and Index analyses  DB2 9.7 after system copy

    Dear All,
I did the Quality refresh by System copy export/import method. ECC6 on HP-UX DB29.7.
After Import Runstats status n Db02 for Table and Index analysis was empty and all value showing '-1'. Eventhough
    a) all standard backgrnd job scheduled in sm36
    b) Automatic runstats are enabled in db2 parameters
    c) Reorgchk all scheduled periodically from db13 and already ran twice.
    4) 'reorgchk update statistics on table all' was also ran on db2 level.
but Run stats staus in db02 was not getting updated. Its empty.
    Please suggest.
    Regards
    Vinay

    Hi Deepak,
Yes, that is possible (but only offline backup). But for the new features like reclaimable tablespace (to lower the high watermark)
it's better to export/import with systemcopy.
Also with systemcopy you can use index compression.
After backup and restore you can have also reclaimable tablespace, but you have to create new tablespaces
and then work with db6conv and online table move to move one tablespace online to the new one.
    Best regards,
    Joachim

  • System Copy  and Logical system name conversion

    Hello All,
Can any one let me know some inputs over these few queries.
    1. How much time would a 500+GB clients take for Export and reimport after the system copy.
    2. What would be run time of the BDLSS report ( Converting the logical system names) for a typical 1500 GB QTY system
The requirement is my QTY has 3 clients, and i would like to refresh it with my PRD data. How do i safely perform thia activity with the least downtine possible and please note, the clients are around 500+ GB huge..
Thanks in advance for your inputs.

  • Procedure of System copy in Solman 4.0 through sapinst based on ABAP+JAVA

    Hello Everyone,
Iam on solman 4.0  based on netweaver 2004s based on ABAP+JAVA instance and database oracle 10g and on windows 2003 platform.I want to perform system copy for solman 4.0 through sapinst and if someone can provide step wise step procedure with 10-20 lines for system copy with sapinst ,it shall be gr8 help.
I hv gone through the system copy guide on OSS also but its too long and confusing also ,a 12-20 steps procedure shall be useful and helpful . Also Iam performing system copy where source system and taget system are same ie; the current sytem where application is installed , i wanna copy tat only and perform system copy on tat server only.plz revert to tat also.
Requested to revert at earliest as this is very urgent. Points guaranteed. My Email id is [email protected]
    Thanks and Reagrds,
    Somya

I don´t think, that the system copy guide is confusing, it has basically a step-by-step procedure, depending on the "way" use use (a backup or R3load).
There are several ways of doing a system copy and depending on the one you want to use, the procedure is slightly different.

  • Logical system names after system copy for SAP ECC 6.0

    Hi!
We successfully installed SAP ECC 6.0 system as system copy.
All the logical system names of old system have been copied to new system.
    Question
What is the approach to change the logical system names for new SAP system?
    a) just via tcode SCC4
    b) via BDLS
    c) other tcodes, reports
    Thank you very much!
    regards
    Jürgen

I think you can do it through BDLS
