System Crashed and I lost iTunes Playlist
After all my items were restored on my computer and I downloaded iTunes again my playlists disappeared. Unfortunately my iPod Nano was new and I did not have the opportunity to transer to my iPod. Can the playlist be recovered or must I start from scratch?

My computer crashed and i lost itunes.
My computer crashed and i lost itunes. I had to completely install a new harddrive and lost everything. I had my ipod synced to my itunes account but now it won't transfer my music. Note most of my music was imported from cds. My music i think is backed up to icloud, but i can't figure out how to transfer that music to itunes. If someone could provide some advice.
I believe so. You can transfer the songs from your iPod to your computer though.

My computer crashed and I lost all the info on itunes, I have 2 ipods and an ipad, the compute is back up now bu no itunes, if I try to sync the devises now, will they loose the info on them or will it transfer back to the computer?
Bye default, itunes will want to delete whats on your devices
iTunes will only let you sync to one library at a time, if you get this warning message, follow this:

My old computer crashed and deleted my iTunes media file with all my playlist. However, my iPod has the playlist I lost on the computer. How can I replace (reverse synch?) my iPod media information back onto my (now reinstalled) virgin iTunes media folder?
Yes it's possible to sync music back from a iPod back into iTunes that (I assume) wasn't purchased on the iTunes Store.
Apple allows iTunes Store purchases on devices to be reversed back into iTunes, just not cd rips and stuff like that. For that it's a one way trip to the device from iTunes.
I likely can't suggest such software here, but if you visit iLounge you can ask what is the latest software that works for your platform.
Really it only takes a mere few minutes to backup your iTunes Library and stick in a few cd/dvd's or a external drive. iTunes even has a menu command for it to make it oh so simple. Please use it and backup all your data.
Hard drives fail, computers burn up, thieves steal, stuff gets forgotten. Plan for something happening because it will.
Good Luck -
my computer crashed and I lost all but 2 albums in itunes. Is there a way to get into my old libruary? I have my tunes on my ipod.
Any music purchased through the iTunes store can be downloaded again for free as long as you are signed in with the Apple ID you used for the original purchase. Any other music you had in iTunes should be easily accessible in your system back up or from the CDs you ripped from originally.

My old Computer crashed and I lost my old library of recorded CD's and tunes. iTunes says I must delete everything off my iPod in order to add a new CD. It also said I already have an account which I was able to locate. I don't know how to get into my old account. I think that would solve everything. I have Windows XP. I'd appreciate any input.
No.
All iTunes content on your iPod Touch should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and your iTunes library on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data - stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only.
When music was purchased on a CD, if the CD was lost and you returned to the store where the CD was purchased with your receipt, were you given a replacement CD?
The same applies here. -
A little while ago my computer crashed and I lost everything, including my iTunes library except for on my iPod Shuffle. I just got a new iPod Nano for Christmas and I need to transfer the music from my old one to my new one but I can't figure out how to do this because my iTunes does not have the music that my old one does.
See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device (and/or purchase history).

My computer crashed and I lost my hard drive. I have downloaded the Itunes on my new computer. I am afraid to sync my I phone as I don't want to loose everything on it and my I Tunes is blank - not what I had previously. ???? Can someone advise?
Prevent automatic syncing one time, without changing settings: Open iTunes. Then, as you connect iPhone to your computer, press and hold Shift-Control (on a PC) until you see iPhone appear in the sidebar. Then, use iTunes File menu > Transfer Purchases from XXX's iPhone. This will transfer your purchased items.
For your other stuff you will need a 3rd party utility. Find discussion of them here
Unlike music and video purchases, iTunes Store Apps can be downloaded again without charge. This explains how: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 -
my pc crashed and i lost all my pictures and music that was stored on the pc. now i have a new pc and when i log into itunes all my music and photos are not available. I guess i dont understand the pupose of itunes and its worth. I thought it backed up all my photos and music, but apparently not. So what do I use so that when i lose data on my pc i can retrieve it again at a later date or after a crash?/
Your content will only be where you put it. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. You should get the option to merge the data when you sync. -
My computer crashed and I lost everything. How do I get my music from my I-phone 4S back on itunes?
That's what backups are for. Use Time Machine. It's free and external drives are cheap. To recover your iPhone's content requires the use of third party utilities. Success is not guaranteed. Read:

My hard cdrive crashed and I lost everything. No Music library back up. Does Itunes have my music on their Server? If so how can I get it back?
You can re-download everything you already bought, if you remember what it was, and you won't have to pay again. This assumes the music you purchased is still available for download.
Other than iCloud backup, which does not store your non-iTunes purchased music anyway, that is all there is.
From iCloud: Backup and restore overview:
The following items are not backed up to iCloud. You can sync these items with a computer using iTunes:
Music, movies and TV shows not purchased from the iTunes Store -

My computer crashed and I lost all of my music. I have music still on my Ipod touch but a lot of it was originally burned from CD's onto my computer. Is there any way to transfer this music back to a new computer or will I need to re-burn each individual CD again to get this onto the new computer?

- For other music you will need a third-party program like one fo those discussed here:
