System Crashes while installing iTunes 7.6

I tried to update my iTunes on my Vista-sytem (32bit) at least 3 times.
It always crashes during the last steps of the installation of the newest Quicktime (Initialising Quicktime) and I got bluescreen.
Now I get bluescreen every time I try to open or configure Quicktime or even I if my Quicktime-Plugin for IE or Firefox starts...
When I first tried to uninstall iTunes completely after the first crash I got the message that there were some damages in Quicktime that could not be repaired, so Quicktime wasn't uninstalled...
Could anyone help me, please?
I don't like to avoid every webside with movies for Quicktime(-Plugin) on it only to keep my system running!

What numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x\[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)
If the blue screen mentions a specific file (such as, for example ati3duag.dll), let us know what that is called too. (Exact spelling, please.)

Hi,
After installing iTunes 9.2, I recieve random system freezes when using iTunes.
The complete system freezes, I need to perform a hard reset to use my computer again.

I'm running OSX 10.6.4 on MacBook Pro (a couple of years old) ... and my (original) iPhone is recognized just fine by the new iTunes 9. I too am anxiously awaiting arrival of my iPhone 4 ... and got the same kind of shipment information as other folks described on the iPad; i.e. being shipped direct from China via Hong Kong. I sure hope they've got the bugs worked out of that process since the iPad 3G fiasco. I was also amused (NOT!) by "additional information" in the shipping-email I got from Apple. Basically it says that if there is a delay in activating the phone via iTunes, "trust us" that Apple and AT&T will be working to get it activated as quickly as possible and will send out an email when it is activated --- in other words "don't call us, we'll call you".
David Brooks during his commentary last night on The News Hour made some comments about how business processes are really starting to break down in this country. I couldn't agree more. Last Thursday's mess was inexcusable! You'd think that the huge (and incredibly profitable) corporations like (BP), Apple, and AT&T would spend as much time and effort and money to get their processes in as good a shape as their products! Urrrrrr! Let's hope that the iPhone enrollment process goes better.

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

regsrv32.exe - the program you are trying to run should normally be in:
c:\Windows\System32 (assuming a standard set up)
You could check to see if it is there. If it is you could try putting the path in front of the command so it would be as follows:
c:\Windows\System32\regsvr32 vbscript.dll
The problem may be caused by an incorrect environmental variable setting. If you want to try and fix it, the following link gives a description how to do it.

My iPad2 crashed while in itunes

My ipad2 crashed while in itunes. It will not do a thing now. When I turn it on, all that comes on the screen is an image of a USB cord, with an arrow at the tip of it pointing to an itunes icon. I've tried resetting by holding the home and sleep button at the same time, but nothing! I tried plugging my usb into my pc to try to restore, but I only got error message stating 'an error has occured' Does anyone know what i might be experiencing? I've had my pad for 1 year. Thanks for any input.

Try Turning both the iPad and your computer completely off, not just resetting. Then turn your computer and iPad back on and plugging it in.

That doesnt work for me. I removed itunes through the windows cleaner method as shown in other posts and re-installed itunes. Now im getting this error

Also my Microsoft office has stopped working after i deleted Itunes which is really strange.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box (similar to those given above) are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

If so, remove the installer, and redownload the itunes set-up installer

No mountable File System error while installing Flash Player

Hi all,
i've been having a no mountable file system error while installing Flash Player. At first i thought it was a problem with the download but i've tried many times and still have the same error when installing the player. I've attached a screenshot of the error message.
Hopefully someone can shed some light. I'm using a 2012 Mac Mini running Mountain Lion on a Fusion Drive.

I have tried .net Package & Deployment as well as InstallShield 2008. finally i have tried B1DE also. B1DE gives us template only in vb.net but not in C#.net and i want this in c#.net.
I was trying to understand the code that it creates. I won't be able get the code also.

MBP won't boot after crashing while installing OSX

My 2010 15" Macbook Pro crashed while installing Mountian Lion. This was clean install, I had earlier in the process formatted the harddrive.
I have browsed the forum for similar problems, but neither holding down cmd+ctrl+r+p, cmd+r nor just the option key on start-up gives me anything but black screen.
To avoid confusion I am sure that the computer is starting as I can hear the fans starting.

Start all over with 10.6, make sure to erase the ENTIRE drive in 10.6's disk utility
use the security option > zero as instructed

Once your on 10.6.8, the log into AppStore, option click on purchases and reinstall 10.8 if you wish.

ITunes crashes while installing...

couple of months ago I purchased this new PC and installed iTunes on this, also purchased a new laptop HP Pavillon 4000 series with which iTunes came preinstalled. Now some time back I used system restore on both (PC + Laptop) and when after it I tried to run iTunes it gave me problem, the standard crashing error "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to be closed. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
now at my laptop i have Windows XP Home Edition installed. So I tried reinstalling iTunes, but as it installed itself soon after the finish message appeared the crash message hit me right in my face. I did it several times and finally I sorted out to uninstall quick time first, then the iTunes and then do a registery fix with registery mechanic 5.2 and then try installing iTunes. This time it installed both the iTunes and Quicktime and ran alrite. So my laptop was fixed. Now I was facing the same problem in my PC, so I tried the same thing on it but to no avail. Even after uninstalling Quick time seperatly it doesnt install quicktime with it, ONLY iTunes setup runs. And as soon as the installation is finished it crashes. What is wrong?
I am using a Intel P4 3.2 GHz, 1GB DDR RAM, Microsoft Windows Professional SP2.

the first thing we'll try is a careful standalone QT 7.1 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)

I just had to replace the HD on my system. I am running a x64 system and have installed the correct version of iTunes. ITunes will not recognize my phone since the new install. I have went online and followed all of the troubleshooting guides on Apple support. No good. I have uninstalled and installed iTunes several times. I have even tried reinstalling windows. I also get an error message when I start up Itunes that reads " The registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning cd's and dvd's are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other cd burring software. Please reinstall ITunes. I am so frustrated, I know there has to be a solution. I tunes works in all other senses, just not recognizing my Phone. I need help, my wife and I both have iPhones and need to sync..........

You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!
