System date as Posting date in MM
Dear All,
Could it be possible to make system date as posting date for all transactions in MM ?
Is there any customizing settings or exits to do the above requirement ?
Regards,
S.Sridhar
by default SAP copies the system date to the posting date field, however the user can change this for very good reasons.
You can only restrict this by creating transaction variants or modifying the standard programs. But I am certain that you quickly face issues.
You should better try to educate your users om the importance of this field, and on the importance to post the documents on-time and not delayed on another day.
Example: you create a PO with delivery date April 30. your vendor delivers correctly on April 30. Your receiver does NOT post the GR on that day. NExt workingday is May 3rd. If user cannot change the posting date the GR is posted with May 3rd.
For vendor evaluation purposes your vendor is 3 days late and gets a bad ranking.
And I could tell you many many different reasons why it is necessary to be able to change the posting date.

Hi SAP experts ,
I am troubleshooting one system and I am kind of getting lost ...
Let me explain the scenario:
Posting period set up
Posting date : 01-14-09
Sytem Date :01 -01-09
After checking all the information , I ran my period end closing .. I ran a comparison report between 12/31/2008 and 01/01/2009 .
My balance sheet matches with when I ran by posting date and my balance sheet is way off (especially retained earning )if ran by system date .
I can get the differnce in amount but was unable to track the exact transaction .Some of the adjustment have been done in this system using system date .
Any queries that will help me to track ? I have used this
SELECT
T0.TransId, T1.Account, T1.Taxdate, sum(T1.Debit-T1.Credit) Balance FROM OJDT T0 INNER JOIN JDT1 T1 ON T0.TransId = T1.TransId WHERE T0.TransType = 30 GROUP BY T0.TransId, T1.Account,T1.Taxdate
But not much of help to target easily ...
Any advise on this ...Should I consider if balance sheet is correct by posting date , it is fine ..
Thank you
Bishal
Edited by: BIshal Adhikari on Jul 28, 2009 3:52 PMHi Bishal,
I believe balance sheet by posting date is correct. System date is only kept for system to show the audit trail when you actually added the document.
Thanks,

MIR7 changing posting date to system date when period is closed
Dear Experts,
For FI park document, there is a setting in customising to set the posting date to system date during posting when the posting period in FI is closed. Is there a way to do this in LIV for MIR7 to set posting date to system date when the MM period is closed?
AmitHi,
Please, have a try to use the following BAdi:
MRM_HEADER_DEFAULT

Detailed description of this BAdi can be found in IMG Help.
(SPRO -> Materials Management -> Logistics Invoice Verification -> Maintain Customer Exits and Business Add-Ins -> Maintain Business Add-Ins for Invoice Verification)
Hope it helps.

This is the message I am getting when i try to configure synchronization through intellisync in all functions. Any ideas?
Folder is no longer part of the system data source or the folder not found

Hi...
Based upon the folder error, my guess is the Desktop Manager is having difficulty determining your default mail client. I am not sure why but it is easy enough to redo a profile in Outlook just to test this. (Control Panel / Mail)
Of course, I would backup my PST file prior to doing this and then create a new profile and import the PST file into the new profile. Once the profile is running and tested ok, I would again go to the Control Panel / Mail and set the default profile to point to the newly created profile. Then run the Desktop Manager and see what happens....

Folder is no longer part of the system data source....message
I just got a replacement phone due to a hardware issue with my old phone. I was able to transfer all the data from my old device to new device via blackberry desktop manager, however, I have been unable to get the synchronization to work properly. When I try to configure synchronization to use Outlook for Calendar & Address book etc. I get an error message when I click finish. The error message is a Runtime Error: Folder is no longer part o fthe data source, or the folder could not be found
I have tried downloading and reinstalling the software Blackberry Desktop Manager is 4.7.0.37 released March 2009
I have reviewed the solutions provided by blackberry & on this message board, but they do not make sense to me. One listing states to click on 'Intellisync' in desktop manager, which does not exist in the version I have. Another listing is referring to check the .PST on the device to see if data is in it, then create a new MAPI folder. I have not been able to figure out how to do either of these tasks.
I run Outlook 2007 on a Windows Vista PC
Please help....Here is the KB that addresses the error message you state:
KB15812 Runtime error - folder is no longer part of system data source or data could not be found

I have tried adding the following in wss_custom_minimaltrust.config but no avail.

UPDATE: It has been observed that the issue is intermittent. That is, sometimes the import works fine (event without any configuration of SqlClientPermission in any config file) but sometimes it gives the above error. I'm stuck!
Regards, Amit GuptaHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you get Error “Request for the permission of type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlClientPermission, System.Data, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed
Simple solution is to change the trust the trust level to FULL: <trust level="[Full]" originUrl="URL" />
In addition, you can modify the wss_mediumtrust.config and wss_minimaltrust.config file under the path “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\CONFIG”.

I have read some of the other posts for people that got this error, but none seem to apply to me.
My program has been working for weeks. I made some minor changes, and started getting the error (full details below).
I did a TFS "undo pending changes" and still getting the same error, even after logging off. The one odd thing is that I did change my Windows password this week. The connection string is using a SQL user id and password that has no issues.
I'm an Admin own my own box (running WIn XP SP3). I even tried "Run as Admin" on Visual Studio.
I'm doing a Debug-Start, running a Console-Test-Program that calls a WCF service, which on local machine is hosted by "ASP.NET Development Server".
We have two other developers, one has the same problem, one does not. In theory, we have all done "get latest" and are running the same code.
The SQL Connection is related to a trace database; we are using this library http://ukadcdiagnostics.codeplex.com which has worked fine for months.
When I do "Start Run" in Visual Studio, I get this error:
{"The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception. "}
with InnerException: {"The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnectionFactory' threw an exception."}
and it has InnerException: {"Requested registry access is not allowed. "}

Thanks for any help.
NealI think I found it... this is sure a strange error for what is really happening.
Apparently it had happened to me before, and fortuantely, I actually added the following comment:
// Above is related to the WCFLOG SQL Diagnostics Trace
// If you get error here an inner exception "requested registry access is not allowed"
// inside exception "type initializer for System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection"
// then make sure you have impersonation enabled in your client.
// See AdminConsole web.config or FRB.EC.AdminService.ConsoleTester.app.config for examples
Now I think I will do a try catch and spit out the same text.
Still testing to assure that this really was the issue.
<endpointBehaviors>
<behavior name="FRB.AllowImpersonate ">
<clientCredentials>
<windows allowedImpersonationLevel="Impersonation"/>
</clientCredentials>
</behavior>
</endpointBehaviors>
The line below in BOLD below is what somehow seemed to disappear from my app.config - probably due to a TFS human error - still checking that also:
<client>
<endpoint address="http://localhost:4998/AdminService.svc"
behaviorConfiguration="FRB.AllowImpersonate"
binding="wsHttpBinding"
bindingConfiguration="WSHttpBinding_IAdminService"
contract="svcRef.IAdminService"
name="WSHttpBinding_IAdminService">
<identity>
<dns value="localhost" />
</identity>
</endpoint>
</client>
Here's how I "idiot-proofed" this error for now, to give an error that actually at least points to a solution:
public SqlDataAccessCommand(string connectionString, string commandText, CommandType commandType)
try
_connection = new SqlConnection(connectionString);
// Above is related to the WCFLOG SQL Diagnostics Trace
// If you get error here an inner exception "requested registry access is not allowed"
// inside exception "type initializer for System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection"
// then make sure you have impersonation enabled in your client.
// See AdminConsole web.config or FRB.EC.AdminService.ConsoleTester.app.config for examples
catch (Exception ex)
if (ex.ToString().Contains("The type initializer for"))
throw new System.ApplicationException(@"
Your client app <endpoint> must be cofigured have a
'behaviorConfiguration' attribute like this:
behaviorConfiguration='FRB.AllowImpersonate'
that points back to a behavior that has this syntax:
<behavior name='FRB.AllowImpersonate'>
<clientCredentials>
<windows allowedImpersonationLevel='Impersonation'/>
</clientCredentials>
</behavior>
", ex);
else
throw ex;
_command = _connection.CreateCommand();
_command.CommandText = commandText;
_command.CommandType = commandType;
// TODO _command.CommandTimeout = ;

How to save user name and system date in a table
I have a form that allow users to enter some information...
I want to save user name in one of the columns and system date in another column by default when the user submit the form to save data...
Please advice...
ThanksHi talbo,
The most reliable method is to use a before-insert trigger on your table. This way the columns will be set properly no matter how rows are inserted (via your app or any other means). Given your user name column is called "CREATE_USER" and your date column is called "CREATE_DATE" for example - include these lines in a before-insert trigger:
:NEW.CREATE_USER := NVL(V('APP_USER'), USER);
SELECT SYSDATE INTO :NEW.CREATE_DATE FROM DUAL;The NVL(V('APP_USER'), USER) will set CREATE_USER to the current ApEx application user if the row is created from within the application, or to the current database user if the row is created outside the application.
Hope this helps,
John

Hi
I have followed http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms173298(v=sql.110).aspx to support private deployment for my application in anycpu mode.
Though its working fine on several XP and Windows 7 , on on particular XP machine , I get this
System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeException (0x80004005): Native components of SQL Server Compact engine are not loaded. Please reinstall Microsoft SQL Server Compact.
at System.Data.SqlServerCe.NativeMethods.ThrowIfNativeLibraryNotLoaded()
at System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeEngine.Dispose(Boolean disposing)
at System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeEngine.Finalize()
Can anybody give me directions on this?Do you use LINQ to SQL or EF or ADO.NET, is what
Yes, I would start by investigating:
- Do you REALLY need "any CPU", or can you cope with just x86 to make things simpler (See my LINQ to SQL blog post)
- Is SQL Server Compact installed on this PC, and which build (is it same or different from the one you distribute)
- Use Process Explorer from sysinternals on the machine to find out where the app tries to load the native libraries from (and fails)
Please mark as answer, if this was it. Visit my SQL Server Compact blog http://erikej.blogspot.com -
Display the system date automatically in the parameter at runtime
Post Author: sandeepsanadi
CA Forum: Crystal Reports
Hi,
While running a report, I want to display the current system date as a default date in the "From Date" parameter, without selecting the current date from the calendar.
Please let me know if someone knows how to get this.
Thanks in anticipation.

also attached image of error massage
so how to by pass this error
please help,
regards,
kavi-kalashHello,
>>because of transferring my project from one pc to another pc i am getting following error:
This seems to be related with an environment issue, please have a check the worked machine and the non-worked one, to compare if there are some difference.
>>If there is a handler for this exception, the program may be safely continued.
This could be due to missing references. Or it could be due to an error in the app config file. Is it possible for you to post your code about the connect part and the connection string? And here is an article describes how to process the first chance exception:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd997368(v=vs.110).aspx

Distributed System Manager trend y-axis scale
I've been trying to monitor some boolean shared variables in the Distributed System Manager. I've been looking at the trend, but I can't find a way to change the y-axis scale from 0-100. With that scale, I can't see if a value switches from 0 to 1.
