System Date population

Hi,
Iam using jdbc adapter on receiver side to insert values into the database table.In the table there is a field with date format.In my mapping i want to populate this field with the system date so that when I run the scenario,this field has to be inserted with system date at the time of running.
Can anybody please tell me how i have to map that field.

The currentDate function under Date functions shud do it...
Also the problem wid d above is dat it'll take the XI server's time and not of your SQL server's time..
If you have a scenario where there cud be a time zone diff between ur XI server location and SQL server locn... Just in case

I have a requirement, where we are checking for the no of days delayed. For this the formula is req date - system days.
I have created a fromula variable on the req date, but to populate the system date i am getting lost. Can i use 0CALDAY for this?.
Can someone please let me know how to populate the system date? i think i have to write customer exit, but my abap kills are really bad, it would be great if anyone can give me code to populate the system date.
Also i read in one of the threads, that if we use 0DAT, that populates the current system date. but when i check in the formula variable editor, i cannot see 0DAT. should i add this to the dataflow?.

Hi,
System date is available as 0DAT. But if it is not activated in your system you can Create a customer exit type formula variable of dimension date. Use the following simple code:
DATA: l_s_range TYPE rsr_s_rangesid.
DATA: system_date LIKE sy-datum.
IF I_VNAM EQ 'VARIABLE-NAME'.
IF I_STEP EQ 2.
    CLEAR : system_date .
    system_date = sy-datum.
    CLEAR l_s_range.
    l_s_range-low = system_date.
    l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
    l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
    APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.

Logical System(ORGLOGSY) populating from which table in R/3 system

I would like to understand about the Logical System(ORGLOGSY) from which table or from where this logical system being populating.
Because we could see this fields Logical System(ORGLOGSY) exist in PO item, HDR, SGR data sources.

Scheduling a report with System Date as prompt

Hi Experts,
We have came across a requirement where users want to have a date prompt.
While scheduling the report, by default prompt is to be populated with system date and it (prompt) should also allow us to select a different date.
This report is used for regular run and also for scheduling.
We need a single report with single prompt which allows us to run for any random date when prompted and also to be scheduled for the latest date.
Please give us advice/ suggestion.

We have tried both the approaches given by you, but it is not working for my requirement.
Let me explain it with the below scenario.
scenario:
we have developed the report by using 2 data providers,
Dp1: It is a custom Query with date as follows ( it is a Transaction data) which brings the data from 1st day of month(user prompt) to user's prompt date.
TRANSACTION_DATE BETWEEN last_day(ADD_MoNTHS(@Prompt('As Of Date :','DT','ABC\plant\Transaction Date',Mono,Free,Persistent,,User:0)
Dp2: It is also Custom Query, but it has only data on month ends.
DIMV_plant_EOP.TRANS_END_OF_MONTH_DATE = last_day(ADD_MoNTHS(@Prompt('As Of Date :','DT','ABC\plant\EOP plant Attributes\EOP Date',Mono,Free,Persistent,,User:0),-1))
Report is having 3 prompts, namely
1) As of date (prompt)
2) Plant (prompt)
3) Country (Prompt)
For example: if my report is ran on 06-june-2014,
DP1: Brings the data from 1st of June to 6th of june.
DP2: Brings the Data from Inception to last month(say 30-may-2014) because it has only month end data.
Upto this it is fine.... but
My requirement is to schedule the report daily......
Example: User want to schedule a report today(10-July-2014), tomorrow(11-July-2014) and so on...
Scheduling should be done daily i.e, it has to fetch the data 10-Jul-2014, 11-july-2014,12-july-2014.... so on.
Automatically scheduling has to take the current date.

Hi,
If you run MRP against sale order by tcode MD50, system will generate planned order.
System will generate basic or lead time scheduling depends on MRP run parameter selected in initial screen of MRP run.
If you select lead time scheduling, system will time from routing and thus generate scheduled start date & finish date.
If your requirement date say 10/08/08. Lead time 10 days. So system create scheduled start date on 01/08/08 during MRP run.

Crystal Reports XI String [255] limit with the File System Data driver...

I was trying to create a Crystal Reports XI report to return security permissions of files and folders. I have been able to successfully connect and return data using the File System Data driver as the Data Source; however the String limit on the ACL NT Security Field is 255 characters. The full string of data to be returned can be much longer than the 255 limit and I cannot find how to manipulate that parameter.
I am currently on Crystals XI and Crystal XI R2 and have applied the latest service packs but still see the issue. My Crystal Reports Database DLL for File System data ( crdb_FileSystem.dll ) is at Product Version 11.5.10.1263.
Is it possible to change string limits when using the File System Data driver as the Data Source? If so, how can that be accomplished. If not, is there another method to retrieve information with the Windows File System Data being the Data Source? Meaning, could I reach my end game objective of reporting on the Windows ACL's with Crystal through another method?

This is a known issue. Early versions you could not create folder structures longer than 255 characters. With the updates to the various OS's this is now possible but CR did not allocate the same space required.
It's been tracked as an enhancement - ADAPT01174519 but set for a future release.
There are likely other ways of getting the info and then putting it into an Excel file format and using that as the data source.

There are tools out there to do this kind of thing....

Formula variable with replacement path on system date

Hi Experts,
I got a requirement to calculate "Days without payment" in report level.
Days without payment = System Date - Payment Date.
(Payment date field is available in CUBE, but system date field is not available in the CUBE)
As we know, the difference b/w 2 dates is not possible directly.It can be possible by creating 2 formula variables with replacement paths on the dates and by writing aformula on these 2 formula variables.
But the thing is I dont have system date readily available, and I tried by using SAP Exit. But we cant create formula variable replacement path on another variable (SAP EXIT).
Do we have any SAP variable for formula with replacement path readily avaliable to get system date (or) any other suggession.
Please suggest me.

I tried doing the same previously.As u said we can get system date by creating customer exit variable.
But the thing is to find difference b/w 2 dates, we cant do it directly, we need to create 2 formula variables with replacement path.
1) Var1 = Formula variable with replacement path on system date(custoer exit variable).
2) Var2 = Formula variable with replacement path on paymanet date.
Number of days = var1 - var2.
But as in 1st point, we cant create formula variable with replacement path on another variable, as system date is already a variable of type customer exit.
We can create replacement paths only on characteristics.
Please suggest me .

Printing System Date on Report Title

How can I print the system date on the title of report generated by SQL*Plus?
I remember it is possible to include SQL.PNO in the statement TTITLE to print the page number. Is there any variable like SQL.PNO which represent system date?
Previously I've include SYSDATE to the SELECT statement of the report. It is the column named TODAY, with option NOPRINT and NEW_VALUE TT_TODAY, where TT_TODAY is include in TTITLE statement. The problem is: if the SELECT statement returns nothing, TT_TODAY will be blank/Null.
How can I work around with this problem?

It works! The output file contains System Date on each page title.
I don't understand why Oracle didn't implement variable similar to SQL.PNO to represent the System Date. If Oracle is able to create SQL.PNO which can increment on each page break, why not the System Date which remains the same on each page?

How to execute Script in Test Plan with two different System Data Container

I need to execute one Test Config in a Test Plan with one System Data Container and another Test Config in a Test plan with another SDC.
How to achieve this ?

Currently it is not possible, to maintain more than one SDC on a test plan.
A workaround is, to maintain one SDC on a test plan and specify no target system direct in a test plan. If you maintain then your two systems in one SDC, you can specifiy each target system in the test configuration, where it is needed.
Here the example:
test plan:
systemdata container: SDC_ALL
target system: <empty>
test config 1:
systemdata container:
target system: CRM
test config 2:
systemdata container:
target system: ERP
systemdata container: SDC_ALL
target system: CRM -> rfc 1
target system: ERP -> rfc 2

1. There is a connector MDM. It is made by PCD. It has been tested. The test is ok.
2. However, as the data source in Visual Composer a connector MDM does not appear.
3. This problem affects all types of connectors, but the Web Service Connector. Connector Web Service is always there.

Is it possible to update the data in entity via System.Data.Entity.DbSet entity

If i want to insert a record in dynamically created entity, i can do something like,
System.Data.Entity.DbSet entity = Request.Context.Set(obj.GetType());
Object Updated = entity.Add(obj);
but if i want to update the record in same entity how can i do that? Please help i am new to EF.

If you use the object type, you need to modify its properties by using reflection because at compile time, the type is not known to compiler:

System data is not up to date

Sorry if this is not the correct forum, I am trying to apply for an SSL Certificate service.sap.com/tcs
and when I pull up the systems our Solution manager is not listed it say's "If an SAP Web AS is missing from the list, the system data in your company is not up-to-date"
I performed the following
When your system has been added in SMSY do the following:
Go to tx SMSY.
Choose your system - application server abap
Tab "Header Data"
Choose "Read System Data Remote"
Next select your <SID>
Tab "System Data in SAP Support Portal"
Choose Synchronize.
After hte synchronization finishes your data should be maintained.

Just check again.
If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen. If that doesn't do it, double tap the home button and swipe to the right and look for the lock icon all the way to the left.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If the iPad screen still will not rotate - turn it over and gently tap it on the back a couple of times - but gently tap it. Make sure that the screen is protected.

How can i recover my database after losing system data file.

1. offline complete backup taken 2 days ago. database was in archive mode.
2. today i lost my system data file, and also lost my all archived files.
3. i started up the database but, the following error was generated.

4. i copied the system data file from backup and wrote the following statement, to recover the database.
SQL> recover datafile 1;
ORA-00279: change 2234434 generated at 07/15/2009 10:52:10 needed for thread 1
ORA-00289: suggestion : C:\B\ARC00051.001
ORA-00280: change 2234434 for thread 1 is in sequence #51
Specify log: {<RET>=suggested | filename | AUTO | CANCEL}
now i don't have any archive file. is there any chance to recover the database ?

now i don't have any archive file. is there any chance to recover the database ?If no archive log files are available you can't recover the datafile.You need to have all the archives from the time of offline backup was taken till the system datafile is lost.
