System delta pull config

Hi,
I get an error when testing my BW system connection that the delta pull might not be configured for my system. where and how do I configure system delta pull in the portal?

Hi Hilde,
I know the delta pull mechanism only from Universal Worklist (see SAP Library section <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/eb/101fa0a53244deb955f6f91929e400/frameset.htm">Enabling Delta Pull Mechanism</a>). There you can specify the period of time after which the UWL should refresh the cached work items retrieved from a certain backend system.
To configure the delta pull settings of a system used by UWL go to:
=> System Administation => System Configuration => Universal Worklist & Workflow => Universal Worklist Administration
Select your system and click the "edit" button to see the current configuration.

UWL / Delta Pull Configuration

Hello,
I am trying to configured delta pull in UWL, but when I create a new SYstem in UWL administration, I get the message:
Could not verify if the backend of system WADCLNT200 is configured for optimized delta pull.
I need to implement delta pull because we have a lot of performance problem with UWL.
My portal is 700 SP18 and backend system 6.40
Any idea¿?

I am facing performance problem with UWL so I am configuring delta pull.
I created rol SAP_BC_UWL_SERVICE and uwl_service in the backend system WAS 640. I also created jobs following instructions in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/eb/101fa0a53244deb955f6f91929e400/frameset.htm.
Also created RFC Destination in Visual Admin of portal
When I amd creating the UWL System WADCLNT200 in the portal, I try to put in field "Delta Pull Channel Refresh Period (in Seconds):" the value 60, but when I saved the system I get the message:
Could not verify if the backend of system WADCLNT200 is configured for optimized delta pull
If I edit again the System WADCLNT200 created, there is not value 60 on Delta Pull Channel Refresh Period (in Seconds).It is empty. I am unable to save the value 60.
My question is if you know how can i solved the message "Could not verify if the backend of system WADCLNT200 is configured for optimized delta pull".

Configuration issue on two items for system center 2012 config manager

My first issue was at the beginning of the install trying to extend the AD schema for system center 2012 config manager version 7.5.1561.0. The
path is missing for SMSSetup\Bin\x64\ to execute
Extadsch.exe is not on my disc. There is only a x86 and 64 bit folder with no bin.
Second issue when creating configuration manager connector. Error connecting to the database. So i went to my sqlserver and checked the permissions on the account I did notice that there are no smsdbrole_extract role permissions. Did I miss a step somewhere
along the way? On a side not that this is an instance and not under the default place. Also, i am using sql 2008 R2 version.

OK, nothing wrong with that per se, but it has nothing to do with ConfigMgr. Also, ConfigMgr is not a "module", it's a distinct product unto itself with its own unique requirements and dependencies that is also architecturally completely different. So,
there's nothing to uninstall to install ConfigMgr. Also, I hope you're not trying to install these products on the same server. That is OK for a small lab environment, but nothing more. Even then, I wouldn't do it since its never something you'd do in production.
As mentioned, each product has its own unique dependencies with no true overlap.

You are most welcome. It would be best to delete those apps and re-purchase them (or re-download them if they were free) under you own Apple ID. That way you will be able to continue to update them, and will also be able to access them under your Purchase history if you need to download them again, or download them to another device.

LO Cockpit Load - 2lis_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM - some dups in 1st delta pull

I am wondering if I might have done something incorrectly. I am new to lo cockpit and had to create a custom datastore. I did the steps below and then ran deltas from that point on. Only the first delta pull after my initial load had duplicates in it (about 2000 out of 8749 records for BF datasource). The delta job was scheduled hourly.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

After "wadm pull-config" the Admin gui still shows deployment pending

After doing a manual edit of my webserver 7.0u3 instance config files I run wadm with the pull-config subcommand. After the command successfully completes I go into the admin gui and it shows that I have a deployment pending. Why is this? Doesn't this command sync the instance config with the config-store?

pull-config command pulls the configuration from the node to the config-store and then the user is supposed to deploy the configuration using deploy-config command to propagate those changes to the other instances if any.

Inconsistencies data between ODS and RSA3 in SAP system (delta problem??)

I have a problem in my SAP BW production system. There is inconsistencies data between ODS (using tcode LISTCUBE) and Datasource in SAP system (tcode RSA3).
I'm using Datasource: 0FI_GL_10 and ODS: 0FIGL_O10.
In SAP system (using RSA3):

1. Check if there is a start routine / routine or not in transfer or update rules....and...i get nothing
2. Check the data using tcode FBL3N..but the data is ok
And then i tried to trace the process chain and find error on delta infopackage which pull these data

08.01.2008 : 135679 records --> error (ODS activation) --> request has deleted forever

From 30 July until 1 August there is an error on delta infopackage because
fail to activate ODS (No SID found for value 'RIM' of characteristic 0UNIT). On 2 August someone delete the red requests and repeat the delta and success. Is there any possibilities that this problem arise because of this? If this the cause, how to bring back 2848 and 231141 records which has deleted?

Some client systems not pulling down updates

Hi,
I recently pushed out the all the March Patch Tuesday updates and I've got around 11 systems that are reporting as compliant when I review the status of the deployment, but are systems that haven't actually pulled down or installed the updates from the deployment.
Strangely the systems show up as Active in the SCCM 2012 console and have current (within the last 4 hours or so) active times. So it seems the SCCM client components are working correctly.
The thing all these systems appear to have in common is that in the WindowsUpdate.log I see the following lines:

Reviewing the WindowsUpdate.log I can see the CCMExec process talking to my SCCM 2012 server but then I get the error above and no updates appear to get pulled down.
I've tried rebooting the systems to see if that resolves the issue but it doesn't. Also what is strange is that these systems have all been working fine in the past. So something appears to have gotten messed up but I'm not sure what?
Any ideas?

Just to update - I followed the steps to resolve the problem that were mentioned in the following thread

Namely I did:
Clean up WSUS - I had over 18000 expired/unneeded updates in my WSUS server. I used the SQL script from the following post:

It took over two days to delete all the updates in batches of 2000
I also plan to add a weekly scheduled job with the WSUS Server Cleanup process PowerShell script they provide to keep my WSUS server clean

I also plan to add a scheduled job to run this weekly
After I made these changes my Windows 7 x86 clients that hadn't pulled down the latest March updates pulled them down.

Pulling configs off of VPN Concentrator 3020

I am currently trying to set up a site-to-site VPN for a vendor on an ASA. The vendor has an existing connection through our out-dated VPNC3020. After doing some research on the web, I could not find a way to pull the configs off of the 3020 to expedite the process of setting up the VPN on the ASA. Is there a way to view the configuration on the 3020 of is it strictly GUI based?

Nobody with experience who can help me a little bit??

BW system open for config for RSA1 display

Our developers have been told by another company that there is a bug in BW3.5 (fixed in 7) whereby the system needs to be open for config in SCC4 to be able to view certain data.
This is in RSA1 - under InfoProvider they have a Holiday Entitlement - Quote Transactions item which when double clicked brings up a screen showing Update Rules information - Status, Data Fields, Type, Srce Fields. There is also a 'Create Start Routine' button, or, if one is already created, a 'Start Routine' display, and other information they require - more detailed information on the characteristics, Process Chain maintenance and InfoPackage maintenance.
With the system closed - they cannot see any of this. Update Rules and the 'Start Routine' buttons are not present.
We are not comfortable having the Live system open and have asked why they cannot do this in Development, as they insist they are not making any changes - they just need to display this information. They say it is required for debugging, and they have to debug in this system, as the debugging depends on the data - which is different in Prod than it is in Dev.
Does this stand up? Are there other ways they can access this information?
We tried Note 337950 - Queries (and other objects) cannot be edited - but this hasn't helped.
If there is a SAP note that does confirm this is a 'bug' and the system does indeed need to be open then please could someone point me in it's direction??

Sorry for not replying for so long... this one kinda went off the radar whilst there were some more important issues.
Thanks for the responses... Eric, our SCC4 settings were the same - i.e. system pretty much closed - and they couldn't see anything. Only by changing in SCC4 did they then get the warning message about changing obecjts - which you can bypass - and then you're in and can see everything.
We're on support package 17; BI_CONT is on 12.
The roles the users have been developed by their authorisations team... do you think it could be an auths issue? Surely it wouldn't make any difference though if you opened the system in SCC4?

Project Systems delta data

Hi,
I need to capture data at runtime through CJ20n before saving.
I have used Validation at Network Header level and used the function module 'CO_BO_OPR_OF_ORDER_GET' to get activities.I need to get delta data,
So I check on the field VBKZ.
However if I change one activity, for all the activities
i get VBKZ = 'U'.
I want to capture only those activities that are actually changed.
Any idea?

It makes sense if SAP marks all activities updated even if you change one activity because activities have relationship among them and change in duration of one activity may change the scheduling of other activities too.
Inside the network header level validation, you could read the activities from database again. You can do it by reading table AFVC against routing number of network and blank SUMNR. It will give you all activities in one select statement. You can move the both data for one particular activity( from datbase and from function module) to two similar structures ( structure almost like AFVC but with out administrative information like last changed on, at, by etc etc). By comparing them, you can identify if aqctivity got changed.
If an activity was previously scheduled and now you change its duration or dates then SAP puts a system status NTUP. if you are just interested in activities with changed dates, you can go by system status change to NTUP.

System http proxy config

Hi, new to 10. I have a fully functional network using DNS. My sparc Solaris machine has a static address. Inside is fine but I can't get outside. The lan I'm on is behind a firewall and used a proxy for http. I can't seem to get the network config correct. Any pointer would be great. I have set the defaultrouter as my gateway. Also tried adding the proxy to the defaultrouter. Many combinations have been tried.

Thanks for the reply. The network works except for the http proxy. I can ping other machines on the net both from the hosts file and through dns. I'm behind a firewall with an http proxy server. How to I configure my system to be able to use the proxy?
