System Error &H80004005 (-2147467259) in using SAP BEX
Hi i All,
I encountered an error, System Error &H80004005 (-2147467259). Unspecified Error followed by "Out of memory" message, when running my SAP BEX. I tried re-installing my SAP GUI and Excel but the error still persists.
Please advice, Carlo
Guys,
its not a problem with BEx analyzer version.
The problem is with the memory allocated to view a particular WP. If you carefully check sm50 while executing this workbook, you will see the workprocess that is used to execute this workbook. Double click and u can see the details of this workprocess. How much of memory is taken, how much time has this WP been executing this workbook. If the queries in the workbook fetch a lot of data, then you probably might get this error. Ask your Basis guy to increase the memory used by the WP.
hope this helps,
Regards,
Sree.

Java system error: Exception in method processFunction in BEX Broadcaster
Hi All,
We are trying to broadcast a BI7 Webtemplate with our enterprise portal. While clicking on "Create New setting " iam getting the error " Java system error: Exception in method processFunction ".
Detailed error description is
*Diagnosis
An error occurred in the BI components on the SAP J2EE Engine.
System Response
Procedure
Contact your system administrator to have the error analyzed in detail.
Procedure for System Administration
Start the Visual Administrator, log on to the SAP J2EE Engine and choose "<J2EE_SID>" ->"Server" -> "Services" -> "Log Viewer".
The file "defaultTrace.trc" includes detailed information about the error that occurred. In Windows, you can find this file in the Log Viewer under "Cluster <computer name>" -> "Server <server number>" -> "<drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<INSTANCE>\j2ee\cluster\server<NUMBER>\log". ". In Unix, the file is located under "/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<INSTANCE>/j2ee/cluster/server<NUMBER>/log".
If the file does not include enough detail about the error, you can increase the log level to obtain more information. To do this, choose "<J2EE_SID>" -> "Server" -> "Services" -> "Log Configurator". On the "Locations" tab page, choose "com" -> "sap" -> "ip" -> "bi" -> "webapplications". Using the selection list on the right side of the screen, you can increase the log level, whereby "DEBUG" represents the log level with the most information. You can save your settings by choosing the "Save" icon. The change to the log level is active immediately. Once you have successfully analyzed the error, you should set the log level back to its default value using the appropriate pushbutton; continuous writing to the log file negatively affects the overall performance of the system.
Notification Number RSBOLAP 018 *
Please let us know how to proceedHi,
This is a configuration issue. All components on the J2EE stack have to
be on the same SPS level. Please make sure of this as a first step.
For special requirements of BI with regards SPS levels please see SAP
Notes 873996 and 1013369.
Please run the latest version of the support desk tool as per SAP note
937697 and ensure that there is no error and then check for the issue
again.
Otherwise, I suggest you open a BW-BEX-ET-BC msg with SAP.

Error in license check using SAP*
Dear All,
Even though we have deleted the SAP* password in DB level, I am unable to login R3 level
using SAP/Pass and with the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sap =0;
when i login to R3 level using SAP*/PASS , Errors is " LOGON not possible ( error in license check)
Could you please let me know , how can we rectify this error?
Thanks and RegardsHi,
This Error will come if you have changed any port recently.
Most probable msserv_internal port will create problem.
Steps:
You need to check this on os level as you cant login to SAP.
1) Check start profile for parameter msserv_internal if its there comment it and restart SAP system
2) Check instance profile for parameter msserv_internal if its there comment it and restart SAP system.
3) Check default profile for parameter msserv_internal if its there comment it and restart SAP system.
update status once done!

Error When Trying to use SAP Help Function
I receive the following Error while simply clicking on Help in SAP. I put a ticket in and out IT support was by SAP the following highly intelligent and helpful info/advice This is an actual quote!!!!:
“This option is not available if they are looking for training on how to use SAP, then need to request this from SAP support or an individual that is working with SAP in their departnemtn"
I was of the opinion that software comes with the help function in most cases (I say most because I could imagine someone making it a separate module but it would not go over well at all). I
I found a folder on the corporate shared drive called SAP_Help and took the following screen shots and there was a notedpad doc that listed every chm file and what it covered.
Next I opened SAP from Windows Server 2008 Applications Portal and so after I RDP'd into the server help works...
Anyone know why this is happening I went to school and got a degree in Accounting.It seems you are using wrong client ID. Make sure your logon pad has right details. You should verify this with your basis team.
If the problem persists then try re-installing. But before you do that you can execute sapbexc.xla which is in the c:\program files\sap\bw. Type c:\ in cell c3 and click "start button". Any red flag means you have wrong version dll/ocx on your local drive, in that case you should reinstall with right patches.
if this solution helps u then pls assign points -
Database Connection error in Crystal Reports using SAP BW system
Hi,
While using Crystal Reports in trying to build a report on the SAP Query in SAP/BW System using the MDX driver, I am able to get the structure of the query fields into the report but on the other hand while trying to refresh the report for data I am getting the error message u201C Failed to connect to the databaseu201D . This database connection error occurs despite the fact that the SAP server authentication details being entered on Refreshing the report is correct.
What could be the possible reason? Any guess...
Thanks,
AmoghHi,
Yes, I am using the MDX driver.
Is there any pre-requisites of importing certain ABAP transports into SAP Server since I haven't done any? Please recommend.
Thanks,
Amogh -
Using SAP BEx to create query error
After query creation in excel, shown 'No Applicable Data Found'. Who can help to solve this problem. Thanks in advance.
HI,
At first, U should check your InfoProvider in the BI system to confirm that are there any record in your InfoProvider.
If above is true, then you should check your filters and restrictions in your query, check it in query desinger. Particularly check the variants for limitation, becase this is globally.
Hope this helps.

Catch error in javascript when using SAP script
All,
I have a issue when using Javascript to control the SAP GUI in that I get a "syntax Error" raised by Internet Explorer if I attempt to get the SAPGUI runtime object from the runtime object table if SAP is not already running.
For example:
I have a javascript function embedded in a web page as follows:
<script type="text/javascript">
function displaymessage()
var sapgui;
var application;
var connection;
if (typeof(application) == "undefined")
sapgui = GetObject("SAPGUI");
application = sapgui.GetScriptingEngine();
if (typeof(connection) == "undefined")
connection = application.children(0);
if (typeof(session) == "undefined")
session = connection.children(0);
if (typeof(WScript) != "undefined")
WScript.connectObject(session, "on");
WScript.connectObject(application, "on");
session.findById("wnd[0]/tbar[0]/okcd").text = "fb50";
session.findById("wnd[0]").sendVKey(0);
session.findById("wnd[1]/usr/ctxtBKPF-BUKRS").text = "0001";
session.findById("wnd[1]/usr/ctxtBKPF-BUKRS").caretPosition = 4;
session.findById("wnd[1]").sendVKey(0);
</script>
I have a simple HTML page with a button on it that calls the function.
If I have already launched SAP GUI and logged in the code works fine and atuomatically navigates me to FB50.
If SAP is not active and logged in then I get a syntax error! The error is raised by IE when the GetObject("SAPGUI") is executed.
Can anyone please help by either:
a) explaining how I can catch this error in javascript
b) suggesting a different way to call the GetObject
c) suggesting a way that I can auto launch SAP to log people in if it is not already active.
Note - Using VB is not an option as I need to embed the working Javascript code in a Siebel thin client application which only uses Javascript.
All help welcome. ThanksHey Gunter,
Thanks much, that did work.
The other error I spoke of was fixed with the new database, so apparently the two errors I spoke of weren't related.
You seem to be a good help to this forum, thank you for that.... fixing my problem relieved me from much stress.
Cheers,
Derek Miller

Tecra 8100 system error when using Bank B
Hi,
I get system errors and Bluscreens when using Bank B. When using Module1 in Bank A, everything is ok. When putting same module as in Bank A in Bank B (Bank A+B) i get the errors.
So, what could it be? Do I Have to "activate" the use of BANK B anywhere or does it looks like its defekt?
Thanks for any helpHello
Well, you have to replace the motherboard if the memory Bank has a fault. In this case the only right way it to contact the service partner. They could give you some detailed informations.

If the latter:
button1 is never a good name for a button.
You might want to look at Actions & AbstractAction rather than the large if statement.
Most of the code is copy & paste code. You might want to have a RunCommandAction.
