System Integration

Hi all!
I'm begining to design(or helping the analists to) an application and I'm showing a problem that we're going to have. The application will have to make some integrations with other systems(they are about 8 systems). And we don't know exactly how/when the people who develop the other 8 systems are going to develop those integrations.
We'll design the interfaces for the system integrations but I was thinking if there's a pattern that can make our life easier. I thought in a pattern that perhaps could be used is the bussiness delegate or a kind of factory, because the bigest problem that I see is that the peolpe who develope those other systems can decide to not implement my interfaces and say that they already have classes that make the same and don't need to reimplement those things.
Any help will be appreciated :D

Hi,
select your workset or folder where you should create the iview. Right click, it show you context menu, put create iview. You will have any options, one is BI, select this option.

"System Integration" window pops up every time Thunderbird starts

I have a problem with "system integration" window.
Thunderbird shows this window on every launch. I've unchecked option in "Preferences->Advanced->General" (I have localized version, so maybe there is spelling errors), but it changes nothing.
Thunderbird version: 24.5.0
OS: Windows 7 SP1, x64
Thunderbird is default mail client according to system settings.

From the point of view of PI landscape and testing methodologies :
Performance testing
1.To Test the systems load tolerance .Its purely physical testing and no application logic is tested in this.One case may be to check the system performance like how much time is taken if multiple users assess the system or say create orders using the interface.
2.There may be several ways u can design an interface to make the business logic to work.(say with BPM or without BPM).So in PT you can evaluate system performance and decide on which approach is best suited.
3. It might be useful to fix any hardware sizing issues also.
4.Usually done in pr- prod system say after a system refresh or migration etc.
System Integration Testing--
1. To test end to end business logic and functionality when all the systems in the data flow are connected and individual unit test is already done (say ECC,PI and third party ).
2. helps is checking the connectivity, execution of functionality.Basically it can be a functionality test.
3.Done after Dev and before User acceptance testing.
Regression testing----
1. Its done when there are changes made to functionality/data , before and after test scripts are prepared and executed.
2.its helps in checking if the changes made will effect any exisiting functionality ,basically before and after the change the existing functionality should not effect but the required changes should reflect.
3.Done after a fix in code and before moving it to prod.

Java Stack mandatory for a SAP BI system integrated with EP?

Hi Guru's,
Currently we are using SAP NetWeaver 2004 s version 7.0 system for our BI.
This is integrated with the EP. But our BI system does not contain the Java Stack installed.
When we work on WAD templates and execute the template, it is automatically directed to EP portal where we can see our reports.
Here my question is do we need Java Stack for this system to use ADOBE DOCUMENT services or can it work with EP only for the web functionalities.
Any info on this is of great help.

We came to know from our basis team that we do not have the Java Stack installed in our BI 7.x system yet.
As it is integrated with EP which has Java, our web reports are working.
1) But my question is still do we ned to install the Java Stack in our BI system as i do not find any Export to PDF option in EP for the reports (eventhough AS Java supports this).
2) Or can we use the existing configuration without Java STack integrated to EP for the new tools like Report Designer and Integrated Planning?

General Ledger - System Integrity and Control Check

Our SAP Business One system receives input from various sources on a daily basis. Therefore we would like to establish a business process to ensure balancing of the books and monitoring of suspense accounts.
How do we develop reports to check the following 3 items;
1. Business Units (On and Off Balance sheet accounts not balancing to zero and Monitoring specified category of accounts)
2. Ledgers Vs Journal integrity (Ensuring Journals, Detail Ledger and Daily Ledger are all consistent at all points of time)
3. Financial integrity (Comparing the balances held between the detailed Ledger, Monthly Average Ledger and Yearly Average Ledger - ensuring they are synchronised at all times)

Project systems integration with portal (EP)

Dear all,
I have to integrate the projects systems module with Portal.(EP)
In portal transactional I views can be used to create projects which can be store in the R/3.
Now the issue is to create projects with out using Transactional I views. This should be a simple entry through portal, where in the user keys in the key fields and there by the project is created and scheduled.
For this I have tried with using business packages given by SAP to integrate with portal.
Now the issue is I can display the projects that are created in R/3 through portal and display the necessary fileds required for viewing (I views). Now the main problem is to create the project using these business packages so that the same get updated in the R/3.
But business packages do not have the option of creating the project. I am using the business packages for projects 50.3.1
Has any body come across this type of issue which has to be integrated with portal and subsequent creation of projects through portal
If any body has done this in any other way please kindly share on this.
Experts please throw some pointers on this.

We have installed a new erec system in Sap nw 7.02 abap system which has to be integrated with Existing portal system. There is another existing HR system(ecc6.0 ehp ) which is already connected to portal. What are the steps to be followed for Integrating Erec system with portal.

Backend system Integration and OrganiZation Structure set up in SRM 7.01

Dear SRM friends,
I am a new entrant in SRM. We are trying to setup a system where the SRM (7.01) box is connected to the ECC 6 - Ehp4 box.
Can any one share with me the initial setup that is required to be done. Also if you can share some information on the backend integration (in our case back end is a ECC system).
We have a plan to replicate the Plan driven procurement in SRM using ECC as backend. So the blue print plan is to create a PR thru MRP run in ECC and this PR will trigger the Shopping cart in SRM system. And then assigning source and PO creation happens in SRM system.
If you can tell me the settings required for building this demo, I would be hugely benefited. Your valuable answers will be duely rewarded.

But perhaps the most important question is: How can be done the integration betwen Livecycle RM and Teamcenter as showed in the Company M case.

As this Enovia is product lifecycle management (PLM) tool there is not special adapter to make integration with this Enovia.
If this integration requires more number of interfaces you can proceed with developing new ADAPTER.
else
you need to create one FTP Service on Enovia system so that SAP PI File adapter will place the file into that FTP service of Enovia.

I have a problem with Java and an e-procurement system integrating

I use an e-procurement system at work and yesterday I could not get my parts list from the suppliers web site to display in our in-house eprocurment finance package.
There is not a problem with the finance package. There is not a problem with the suppliers web site. I have verified both of these by other colleagues being able to complete what I am trying to do.
The difference between my version of Firefox and my colleagues' is that I am on version 6.0.1 and they are on 6.0.
I have had problems with Java not displaying certain animations on the suppliers web site but, my colleague does not and I am suspicious that this is the problem. Can anyone verify this please and what can I do about it. My Java updates are up-to-date as of yesterday and are automatic.

I was quite amazed I never got a reply to this, in the past people here have been helpful. In any case I was finally able to enter this website on the exceptions list in the Java panel, and I believe it is okay now.

UPDATING/SYSTEM INTEGRATION QUESTION

1. I have Logic 7.1.1 installed on a Dual G5 running OS 10.4.2
2. I have a multiple computer system (PCs) running GigaStudio, Vienna Instruments, and other VI's.
So I can have the maximum number of MIDI ports available, I'd like to use the Mac/PC version of MIDIoverLAN.
My system is stable. But to upgrade to MOL, what Logic and OS X version should I upgrade to?
Also, I hear that MOL has timing/latency issues. Is this correct?
