System is not checking Account assignment data in shopping cart
Dear Experts,
We are implementing SRM7 with SP06. We are using extened classic scenario. Recently we have noticed that system is not validating account assignment data at shopping cart level and creating purchase order in SRM, however at the time of PO transmission to backend system it is failing.
Does any one has faced this issue?If yes help me how to resolve this issue.

Could you check if in your settings for Define backend system customizing ( BBP_BACKEND_DEST table), option "realtime backend validation of FI data" is set or not ?

Account Assignment data in Shopping Cart not visible after upgrade of R/3
Hello,
We are currently working with SRM 5.0 and R/3 4.6 Backend system.
We are now upgrading our R/3 system from version 4.6C to ECC 6.0.
When we try to create a shopping cart, the account assignment Tab is not visible.
We checked the RFC (SRM-R/3 and R/3-SRM) and they our working fine.
Now we think the problem is caused by a configuration setting in which one defines the Backend System. In this configuration, the system category is still set to 4.6C (for the logical System of the Backend System)
We want to change this but in our list of system categories, the ECC 6.0 option is not present!
Questions:
1. Is this configuration setting the cause for our account assignment tab problem?
2. How can one add the System Category ECC 6.0 so it will appear in the configuration setting "Specify Backend System" ?
Anyone had experience with this? Please give us a clue.

You can choose the ERP_2.0 option. It contains the correct structures for the new ECC 6.0 system.
You can change it and retest.

Hi all,
We are on SRM 7.0.1.
For each requester,we have the EMPLOYEE role assigned.
In shopping cart screen,under account assignment,we want to see the acocunt assignment detailed view as the default view under tab "ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT".Currently,under account assignment,user has to click on the DETAILS button and then the details show up in the bottom part of the screen.
Can anyone advise how do we change the default view for the "ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT' tab?

Default G/L Account assignment value in Shopping Cart
Hello Experts,
Need your help but urgently.
There is a Requirement of creating new p.Category so inECC New material Grp is created and i repliczte the same in SRM system Development . Now i went to Default account assignment and assign my new P.Cateogry with default G/L account for Cost center.
It was working fine in Development but when i transport these settings to my SRM_quality system the source system for all the P.Categories Source system changes from QAS300SYCC to DEV300SYCC. i went to BDLS and run old and new logical system for table BBP_DET_ACCOUNT and source system gets changed but still when i create a Shppping cart default G/L account is not comming for all the P.Catoegories except the new one which i have created .

Please see the answer from a development colleague :
- We cannot recommend to transport IMG table V_BBP_DET_ACCT entries
from DEV to PROD for the following reasons:
a) F4-help entries of field CATEGORY_ID contains category GUIDs
of LOGSYS DEV which may not exist in LOGSYS PROD.
b) If already entries in PROD exist in that IMG table it maybe
overwritten.
- Recommendation:
Please maintain IMG table entries with CATEGORY_ID reference
always manually using F4-help (dropdown). Sorry for the inconvenience,
but CATEGORY_ID /GUID triggers backend finding and is a substantial
and unique key field in every SRM system which cannot easily be
reused in other logical systems.

BBP_MON_SC : does not show the details of the Shopping cart
Hi,
We are in SRM4.0 and Stack 11.
when we use the transaction:BBP_MON_SC to check the Shopping cart and get into the details, the system does not show the "details of the shopping cart".
The sequence of the steps :
1) click on the "monitor shopping cart"(BBP_MON_SC) in our web browser
and search the SC by date.
2) The list of the SC created on the specific date come up.
3) when we select a SC to get into the details the system shows
a "BLANK SCREEN".

First check whether you have implementedany custom BADI at the SC item level.If the BADi is wrongly implemented then you may not be able to see the item details.
Also Make sure that BASIS Team has assigned correct roles and profiles to the administrator user. Ask BASIS to use SAP provided roles and then you can try out again. (Try this role - SAP_EC_BBP_ADMINISTRATOR / SAP_BBP_STAL_ADMINISTRATOR )

Incase it does not help, then, Without assigning any other roles, try logging to the transaction - BBP_MON_SC via SAP GUI instead of webpage and then do once you get some authorization issue /error, using SU53 Transaction, you can get the required Authorization objects need to attached to the user profile.
Alternatively, For time being, Try assigning SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW to the Administrator Buyer user role of that user.

Copy of Account Assignment Data from PR to PO in ECC 5.0

In our ECC 5 instance, Account assignment data from PR to PO is not getting copied when we create a Purchase Order in ME21N transaction. Where as the same is being copied when PO is being created with ME21 transaction.
Ex: PR created with Acc Assignment Q, when we create PO with reference to PR in ME21N transaction, this account assignment data is not getting copied to PO. Where as this is no so, when we create PO in ME21 transaction.
Can you please specify any pointers for this copy control problem.

please check for the following points:
1. check in ME21N, are referncing properly or not...
You have to reference it via using the document overview ON or directly entering the PR as source document for the PO...
2. check whether is getting properly saved in the table EBAN/EBKN...check it in SE16...you can check as per the document number...
3. If nothing is helping you from the above two points check with the ABAP and BASIS consultant...

Do Not Check Uniqueness of Data in Write Optimised DSO
Hello,
I am working with write optimised DSO with already billion records in it. I have flag 'Do Not Check Uniqueness of Data' in Settings as checked(means it will surely not check for uniqueness of data). I am thinking of removing this flag off and activate the DSO again. I am willing to remove this flag as it will provide option of Req ID input in listcube on DSO and without this list cube will never return back with results.(I have to analyze aggregations)
I tried removing this flag and then activate DSO in production system with 17 million records which took 5 mins for activation (index creation). So maths says for a billion records activation transport will take around 6 hrs for moving to Production.
I am willing to remove this flag as it will provide option of Req ID input in listcube and without this list cube will never return back with results.
Questions:
How does this flag checks the uniqueness of record? WIll it check Active table or from the Index?
To what extent DTP will slow down the process of subsequent data load?
Any other factors/risks/precautions to be taken?
Let me know if questions are not clea or further inputs are required from my side.

Reporting on Operation Level costing / Operational Account assignment data
Hi folks,
Please can anyone here with experience in dealing with extracting Operation Level costing (OLC) / Operational Account assignment (OAA) data for Maintenance Orders share their experience.
We have done some basic checking around this and Account assignment at activity level has been enabled. Been trying to use 0PM_OM_OPA_2 extractor to get this Operational Account assignment data but no luck.
Perhaps PM Consultants familiar with OLC/OAA solution can help answer this. What are the tables to look at for getting to this Operational Account assignment data?

I'm trying to connect via Hana Studio to a Hana One instance I have configured in AWS, following the guides & videos in the Hana Academy.
When adding the system in Hana studio, I get an error message after inputting the SYSTEM password:
The system is not reachable, the login data could not be considered
I've seen another post in the forum where the user solved the issue by resetting the SYSTEM password to a password without special characters, but mine is already "special character" free.
Are there others who have had difficulties when adding a new system?

I downloaded the SAP HANA Studio from "Get your own SAP HANA, developer edition on Amazon Web Services (http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-28294)", specifically at SAP HANA Studio, developer edition and SAP HANA Client, developer edition, for Windows XP 32-bit. Is this HANA One? How to know the version of HANA server? How to make my Internet or firewall allow me to go out to the JDBC port? I am just learning to deal with these computer-science issues.

I suppose you are using HANA One (which you can only launch today from AWS Marketplace and HANA costs 99 cents/hr). If it is HANA One, which version of HANA One you are using? Please make sure you are using the same version of HANA Studio with HANA Server? Instance number in HANA One is 00.
If you HANA One, by default, it will open all the necessary ports. Please make sure you are Internet or your firewall allow you to go out to the JDBC port. If not, you cannot connect your studio behind your firewall with HANA server in the cloud.

Moving data from shopping cart to Purchase Req in backend
Hi,
We are implementing SRM 5.0 with R/3 ECC 6.0 in the backend. I am brand new to this module and version.
When shopping and ordering, then running clean_reqreq_up to transfer to the backend, we notice a material number does not flow through to R/3. I have implemented the BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW to try and force a material number into the parameter field CS_RQ_DOCUMENT-IT_REQUISITION_ITEMS-MATERIAL. When I activate the badi, and shop and order some product, then I check the status, it shows the following message in the follow on documents, which I can not figure out.
"Shopping cart 3nnnnnnnnn/1 Error in Process" but if I deactivate the badi and do the same thing, the shopping cart status is successful. I am having trouble debugging this badi and getting it to stop in the code to see what is happening.
I would like suggestions regarding if I am using the correct badi for what I need, and if so, how can I see more details regarding my error.

Recommendation
If you edit the PO_HEADER_ADD_DATA structure, you should check the settings of parameter HEADER_ADD_DATA_RELEVANT.
Activities
You are able to use the parameter HEADER_ADD_DATA_RELEVANT in the BAdI implementation. Assigning this parameter the value:
'1'
Means that the system only transfers the data of structure PO_HEADER_ADD_DATA to the purchase order in the backend system that is not empty (initial).
'x'
Means that the system transfers all data of structure PO_HEADER_ADD_DATA to the purchase order in the backend system regardless of whether individual fields are filled.

Unable to assign supplier in shopping cart for services in SRM 7.0 SC
One particular user is Unable to assign supplier in shopping cart for services in SRM 7.0 Shopping Cart. There is no difference in the roles assigned to him. He is able to assign supplier for materials but not services. Any suggestions?

From where he is buying the Services - free text or catalog or service masters.
Do you have other users having same problem?
Have you built a custom role in your landscape. Assign SAP All to his role temporarily and see if that happens again. If so, activate the Trace on his id and ask him to order a service SC to find out where he is missing the authorizations....

Each approval step in SRM has got a work item guid and its relevant data stored in few Data tables. You may build a custom report to meet your requirements.

While PR Conversion In To PO System Pop Message Enter Account Assignment

PR is created from work order having account assignment category as "F" and Work order has Outline agreement which having the account assignment category as "U" .when i am trying to convert the PR TO PO system throw pop up messsage for input account assignment as PR having assignment category as "F" and account assignment as Order number eventhogh while PR TO PO conversion its is asking me account assignment .it should automaticaly coppied from PR.but it is not happening.Please suggest any clue for this strange system behaviour.

Equipment with no location or account assignment data

In our solution, we are using equipment records without functional locations or account assignments. Yet I still see records for each equipment in ILOA with a new account assignment number (ILOAN). Is this standard SAP or is there a way (in config maybe) to avoid the automatic creation of these records in ILOA.
EQUZ contains a record for each equipment with a difference ILOAN as well.

A new ILOA record is created for the equipment each time you change the Location data. This then used as part of the equipment history (usage list, change logs, etc).
Certain fields can be configured (via IMG) to create new records.
If you don't change these fields, then it won't create new ILOA records. Therefore you will have one ILOA record for each EQUI/EQUZ record.
There is nothing much you can do about this without modifying SAP standard code. And in any case it would be unwise since we do not know the knock-on effects. Nor do you know if you may need this functionality in the future...
Many clients have millions of equipment records, each with multiple ILOA records. This should not affect the system if it is "sized" correctly...
