System list empty

Hi @ all,
I've installed VCServer on a Win2000 Server with EP 6.0.
The VC works fine if I'm using the EP that is installed on the same machine.
But if I want to connect to a portal on another Server, the system list in VC is empty.
I've checked some other posts to this topic and have done all the listed steps.
(Restart, add line into hosts file, e.g.)
Has anyone had the same problem with VC and how has he fixed it?

thanks for the hint with the server log. I found out that the portal server gets an error if VCServer tries to get the system list.

GUI-- Available system list empty

Dear Expert
The SAP Systems are not displaying in GUI while maintaing system in "create new system entry", the list are empty and you can create new system by the clicking on the user specified sysstem.
I have matained the following files;
     sapmsg.ini c:\windows
     saproute.ini c:\windows
     saplogon.ini is maintained himself
sapmsg.ini and saproute.ini file maintained properly. i am able to see the Router list and message server list while maintaing the system through the group server selection screeen

Empty available SAP systems list.

Hello all,
I try to make my first CR report from SAP table but available SAP systems list is empty, when i try "Create New Report from a Query" i see all systems in SAP Logon window. Could anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
locate the saplogon.ini file on the machine you installed the CR designer and create an environment variable with the name SAPLOGON_INI_FILE that contains the path (ATTENTION: include also the name of the file itself) to the saplogon.ini file.
If the system list is still empty after that, then please open the saplogon.ini using Notepad, go to File->Save as and choose the file to be encoded as UTF-8 (Do not modify the name). Just overwrite the existing file and try again.

System list remains empty

Hi,
I've tried executing the "QuickStart" example given in the Visual Composer user guide. After creating model, module, page, Iview.. I'm trying to import BAPI.
Here, when I give link to the Portal I'm using, connection with the Portal is working but the System list remains empty.
( in my Portal Landscape Directory I've defined the system an user mapping for that and Its working fine)
Can anyone suggest me, where I'm going wrong.

Hi Mausam,
These are the following possibilities where you may have done something wrong.
1. System Definition: Make sure you have defined the system you want
to connect. Do the following to verify the same.
In case of "UserMapping"
Checklist:
1. System Alias is defined
2. UserManagement property of the system definition is set to "UIDPW"
3. System permissions are set to give access to end users.
      eu_role/authenticated_user/or any group that you want to give access to
      the system.
      One of the above groups is added to the system definition and make sure
      eu_role has "end user" box checked.
4. Once the steps 1 to 3 are correct then go to personalize link
(For this link
      to show up the user that you logged on should have eu_role assigned),
      select usermapping and see in the dropdownlist the system you
have defined
      appears (Alias name)
      Select the system, enter the userid and password and save.
5. Now go to the support desk and check by selecting "SAP Transaction"
      if it connects automatically using the id and pwd you have
provided by doing
      usermapping.
6. If step 5 works without you entering the userid/password then
you are ready to
      test with Visual Composer. If not make sure step 4 is complete.
7. Now start the Visual Composer and connect to portal and select the system
      and specify the BAPI. It should give you the list.
If SSO:
Follow the above procedure except the following steps.
2. Make sure the UserManagement property is set to "SSO2LOGON"
4. Skip step 4

When I am trying to send a mail to the internet mail id using System->Short message....it throws a message like...
"No recipient specified - is the distribution list empty?"
Please help me...

That's even stranger. I used that FM 5 minutes ago with this data, in se37, and I received the email.

System is not recorded in the system list

Hi all,
I am using BI 7 system which is connected with a source system of SAP R/3 system and there is no problem in the connectivity between these sytems.
When I tried to save a user defined ztable in BI system it shows an error below and also the description the error message would be. Please go through the following the let me provide the solution.
error: System BI& is not recorded in the system list.
Explaination of the error follows:
System BI7 is not recorded in the system list
Message no: TR638
Diagnosis
The current transport route configuration does not have the system BI7 in this current system list.
The transport route configuration was probably not maintained after the system setup, or was changed incorrectly.
Procedure for system Administration
The system Administration need to change, activate and distribute the transport route configuration accordingly. All systtems in the transport domain must be in the configuration.
Help this to solve.

Check in STMS whether your transport route is configured correctly or not. As per error message there is problem in your transport route.

In F-53 system listing out wrong open item

Hi Guru's,
while making outgoing payment in F-53 system listing out 'A001' & 'B001' company code open item rather than 'A001' company code open item. In the selection screen we are giving only company code 'A001'.
This vendor has been extended for both the company code.
Could you please help me to bring selection screen company code open item only.

in f-53 after giving all the required information in document header bank account number and amount click on process open items without giving the vendor code on the main screen of f-53
there check which company code is selected and then give the vendor code and co code and process again
and let me know if you are facing the same problem again
Also check the vendor open items for each co code in FBL1N

Can't see system list in BW3.X/BI7.0 BEX Analyzer logon window

I used to be able to see our different BW system list in the logon small window when trying to open a query from a BW3.X/BI7.0 Analyzer which should be the same system list for SAP Logon screen.
But my computer was infected by virus that the operating system has to be reinstalled and then I have SAPGUI 7.10+Add-ons with SAPLOGON Customizer installed and I can see the system lists in SAP Logon screen. Then I have reinstalled BI7.0 BEX, but when I run either BW3.X Analyzer or BI7.0 Analyzer and open query, the logon small window pops up with a blank system list.
Any idea on how to make the system list show up in the logon small window when opening query in BW3.X/BI7.0 Analyzer? Maybe I need to have SAPGUI 6.40Add-ons with SAPLOGON Customizer installed first before I have SAPGUI 7.10Add-ons with SAPLOGON Customizer installed?

Have you copied the inf file from another system and copy it to windows system directory?
You need to have that copied or you need manually each and every system using the server name and System ID

Check the user name and password.... usually if the installation is local the user for <sid>adm must be .\<sid>adm and if its a domain user <domain>\<sid>adm

How to create empty text file on target system for empty source text file

Hi All,
I have an issue in handling empty file in the Text (FCC) to Text (FCC) file scenario. Interface picks text file and delivers on target system as text file. I have used FCC in both sender and receiver CCs.
Interface is working fine if the source file is not empty. If the source text file is empty (zero Bytes), interface has to delivery an empty text file on target system. I have setup empty file handling options correctly on both CCs.
But when I tried with an empty file I am getting the error message 'Parsing an empty source. Root element expected!'.
Could you please suggest me what I need to do to create an empty text file on target system from empty source text file?

the problem is that when there is an empty file there is no XML for parsing available. Hence in case you are using a mapping it will fail.
What ideally you should do is to have a module that will check if the file is empty and if so write out an XML as you want with no values in the content/fields.
Or the next choice would be to have a java mapping to handle this requirement. I guess that on an empty file the java mapping will go to an exception which you can handle to write out your logic/processing

Disable download (System- List- Save) from PF STATUS ?

Hi All,
We have a program with Classical Report output and would like to disable the download option
(Menu bar->System->List->Save->Local file). Is this possible?
Created a new PF Status, but it seems by default 'System' & 'Help' will always be there in Menu bar.
Is it possible to deactivate the Save->Local file option or the Menu bar completely?

GO TO se80
open your program their.
Navigate to pf-status.
If you are using a standard pf then first copy it to your program and set pf-status in your program.
Then double click on your pf status
go to menu bar
click on the menu you want to disable option from.
Just delete their function code, save and activate.
You will find the option not working.

System>List>Save-->Local File since we updated to ECC6
Please suggest me any OSS note I can use to resolve this problem.

I wrote the code as below to check download authorization:
AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'S_GUI'
ID 'ACTVT' FIELD '60'. " '61'.
if sy-subrc <> 0.
write: 'do not have authorization'.
else.
write: 'have authorization'.
endif.
Both cases the result is 'have authorization'.
Is it correct?

When executing Bex analyzer, absence of System list

Hi. Guys~
I have a problem.
I'm going to connect at BW through Bex Analyzer.
When I open BexAnalyzer, in Saplogon screen I cann't find system which is I want to connect.
But, I can find it, When I execute SAP Logon.
I don't know well Why system list in SAP Logon and system list in Bex Analyzer aren't same.
Please give me a hand with this problem.

Hi,
Clicking on the search botton in the system search section in the report product error iview will list u the systems installed under ur installation number.
If it doesn't list the systems then u may have to contact the administrator and get the required access to create OSS message.

Customizing the System List

I'm trying to figure out how to add an item in the System List.
Up to now I figured out how to remove an unwanted item. I go into these 2 files (in the Tomcat folder) and delete the section related to the item in question.
webapps\rtrlet\xsltransforms\network\SelectInvGrou p.xsl
webapps\rtrlet\xsltransforms\common\Enums.xsl
But when I try to add an item in the 2 files mention above I get an SQL error in the web console.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
