System Log Messages For IGPU & AppleTyMCEDriver
I can't seem to find what these messages mean or what is causing them, any ideas?
May 20 15:57:42 localhost kernel[0]: AppleTyMCEDriver::probe(MacBook5,1)
May 20 15:57:42 localhost kernel[0]: AppleTyMCEDriver::probe fails
May 20 15:57:42 localhost kernel[0]: IGPU: family specific matching fails
I'm having a weird issue with Spotlight, while I'm searching, the drop down results menu for spotlight goes crazy and parts of the desktop show through and the whole thing is jerky. I'm just not sure if it has anything to do with those messages yet.

Thanks!
JudithHi Judith,
The language-dependent table TSL1T contains system log messages. These
messages may occur if the syslog message does not exist in the logon
language.
There can be several reasons for missing text: (note 46062.)
- The language import did not run correctly.
- The text was not yet translated.
- A kernel is used whose release is younger than the R/3 System (downward-compatible kernel) and this kernel generates Syslog messages that are not yet in the corresponding R/3 release. Example: R/3 Release 4.6B with kernel 4.6D. If the Release 4.6D kernel generates a Syslog message which is not yet in Release 4.6B, no entry table TSL1T is found.
Some corruption may exist in the syslog, so you should delete it as per SAP Note 45580.
Please try to make sure you have applied the latest kernel patch to remove all the known bug.
Also see SAP Notes:

My Mac starts itself automatically around 1:00 am about ever other night. I don't want it to do that. I had a backup program installed once that was set to do the backup at that time, but I have long since uninstalled that program. Yet the computer still powers on automatically. I checked in the control panels and don't see it set to do that. I used the Console program to check my log, but I don't know how to read what it says. Can anyone help me get to the root of this problem?Hi Edwardo,
Perhaps there's remnants of that App you're not aware of... what was it?
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts (Users & Groups in later OSX versions)>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

Lots of system log messages from nsurlstoraged, also systemstatsd
I'm running Yosemite (10.10.2) on an old Mini (details below). I am not having particular problems with slowness, crashes, etc., but I'm seeing repeated messages in the System Log which seem to be errors:
nsurlstoraged[300]: ERROR: shrinkDB - shrink of file system cache did not fully complete. Result: 11
systemstatsd[1286]: assertion failed: 14C1514: systemstatsd + 3283 [A886B71F-3A31-3324-9B30-5143FDF4ECCB]: 0xb
For at least the past 2 days, the systemstatsd messages have the exact same values. When the computer is in active use, I get 2 of them every 3 to 4 minutes.
The nsurlstoraged messages are a little more frequent but don't have such a clear pattern. Some other messages from that source which are interspersed with the above message include the following:
nsurlstoraged[1263]: realpath() returned NULL for /var/root/Library/Caches/ocspd
nsurlstoraged[1263]: The read-connection to the DB=/var/root/Library/Caches/ocspd/Cache.db is NOT valid. Unable to determine schema version.
nsurlstoraged[1263]: ERROR: unable to determine file-system usage for FS-backed cache at /var/root/Library/Caches/ocspd/fsCachedData. Errno=13
Should I be concerned about resolving these, or can I just ignore them? I did run the string of commands provided in the forum by Linc which are intended to reset the privileges on everything in my home directory to the default values, and I also ran the password reset process via the recovery partition to reset the ACLs.
Just a few quick notes about my system:
- the volume My Mac system (external) is not the system or boot disk. It has most of my image files (including iPhoto libraries) plus the iTunes Media folder. I did not run any commands there to reset file/directory permissions.
- the volume Macintosh HD is the system disk and contains my home directory.
- I am planning to upgrade from to 4 GB to 8 GB RAM.
Thanks very much for any insight into these messages!
Dave

Log messages for 'auditing' are different in 'general' and'application log
Hi,
From UI, When I audit a file using a profile which comprises of user-defined 'rules/categories/analyzers', I will get log messages at ''File-name(Application) log window' and 'Messages' log window, which are located at bottom of Jdev UI page. One common message in both the log windows is
" <n1> violations, <n2> exceptions, <n3> documents, <n4> seconds>.
But here the 'n1,n2,...' numbers are dfferent in two windows though the log output is for a same file. In this the 'file-name' log shows the correct
Example:-
In 'file-name' log window ,it shows as:
3 documents, 8 violations, no exceptions
In messages window, it shows as
"Audit starting on EFC.jpr (Default)
Audit completed: no violations, no exceptions, 3 documents, 1 second"
If I use the 'pre-existed'(Jdev's) rules profile, I will get similar output in both log windows.
From this I concluded that there is something missing to register for a new 'rule/category/analyzer'.
Could you suggest me in this case. Do I forgot anything to do in any files of '<rule-implementation.java>', 'audit.properties', <add-in launcher>.java, extension.xml.
Actually, I want to use 'ojaudit' executable from command line to my project files. Here I observed that the output of the 'ojaudit' is similar to the above explained 'Message' log window in JDeveloper UI. But where the 'Message' log window output is not correct for user-defined rules.
Regards
MadhuRomano,
In the upcoming production release (planned to be released next week), we added caching of authorized roles and permissions in JhsAuthorizationProxy class.
I suggest you wait for this relase, if the problem persists, it is most likely an ADF issue (as is the logging)

What is RV042 System Log Message: PROTO 112 on ixp1?
Currently I am using a RV042 with firmware 1.3.13.02 as a basic router and not using any of the VPN features.
In the system log the follow message occurs very frequently, on average 4 times per second:
Event - Type: Connection Refused - Policy violation
Message: PROTO 112 192.190.205.18->224.0.0.18 on ixp1
Is this something of concern, and if it is, how should I go about resolving it? The WAN IP address of my router is in the 192.190.205.x range.
Thanks.Hi
i think you have a device connected via your WAN sending out VRRP framaes, and my router sees these as a policy violation.
sounds pretty good to me. -
File system log files for SOA Gateway
Hi All,
I need to get log files for my integration repository/SOA Gateway since I'm not able to generate any WSDL or to deploy a web service. In the SOA trouble shoot document, it says:
Log on to Oracle E-Business Suite with the username that has the System Administrator responsibility access privilege.
Select the System Administrator responsibility from the Navigator and choose Oracle Applications Manager > Logs.
Click Log Setup to open the Java System Property Settings page.
Click the Site link and enable log for
Midtier Log File Name: Enter the file name that you would like on the middletier, for example, '/tmp/SOA /tmp/SOALog.log'.
Module=Enter an appropriate module name, for example, 'fnd.soa%'.
Ask your System Administrator to bounce oafm container.
Perform any SOA specific action, such as generate a WSDL file for an PL/SQL API.
Look for logs in the file specified in the Midtier Log File Name field.
My problem is, that my EBS installation is running on windows, so '/tmp/SOA /tmp/SOALog.log' will not work, right? I tried something like /temp/... or c:/temp/... or c:\temp\... but I did not get a logfile called SOALog.log.
What do I have to provide as path here?
Many thanks,
KonradHi!
Did you encounter any error?Yes!
>
try givng C:\temp remember temp should have read and write permissions for the oracle applications o/s user(applmgr)Using c:\temp\test.log results in the following error while saving the log setting:
An error has occurred!
For input string: "10001:\temp\test.log"
I can use whatever string I want, but as long as a ":" is included, I get that error.
As for the user permissions. I installed the EBS using the standard Administrator account and this account is a member of Administrators and ora_dba.
Best,

Slow I/O, System.log errors for XSR
Hello,
Got a strange problem. For the past few weeks we have been experiencing outstandingly slow I/O from our Xserve G5 to our Xserve RAID. The box periodically reboots itself (no info in system.log re: it), and we consistently see (while doing i/o ops) this error in system.log:
Nov 28 07:28:44 xserve kernel: FusionMPT: FindTaskForControllerIdentifier() failed, targetID = 256, context = 0x4a
Nov 28 07:29:15 xserve kernel: FusionMPT: FindTaskForControllerIdentifier() failed, targetID = 256, context = 0x2a

Nov 28 07:30:01 xserve kernel: FusionMPT: FindTaskForControllerIdentifier() failed, targetID = 256, context = 0x82
Nov 28 07:33:45 xserve kernel: FusionMPT: FindTaskForControllerIdentifier() failed, targetID = 256, context = 0x66

Nov 28 07:33:45 xserve kernel: FusionMPT: FindTaskForControllerIdentifier() failed, targetID = 256, context = 0x95
Nov 28 07:34:28 xserve kernel: FusionMPT: FindTaskForControllerIdentifier() failed, targetID = 256, context = 0x52
Nov 28 07:34:28 xserve kernel: FusionMPT: FindTaskForControllerIdentifier() failed, targetID = 256, context = 0x31
Nov 28 07:41:17 xserve kernel: FusionMPT: FindTaskForControllerIdentifier() failed, targetID = 256, context = 0x55
Nov 28 07:46:22 xserve kernel: FusionMPT: FindTaskForControllerIdentifier() failed, targetID = 256, context = 0x3f
Nov 28 07:46:22 xserve kernel: FusionMPT: FindTaskForControllerIdentifier() failed, targetID = 256, context = 0x37
The box is Mac OS X Server 10.3.9 with 2 disks as a software RAID -- they appear fine and are humming along just fine. The XSR has 7 disks in a RAID 5 (1.4 TB) and a reformat has not resolved the issues.
Has anyone had this issue before, or have a clue what it may be?RAID firmware is?

Help to create log message for the failure of procedure

pls help

debashisI'm afraid I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish here. What is "command is successfully executed" intended to represent in your CREATE statement and in the anonymous PL/SQL block.
What do you mean "it should occur in row by row order" and "success message of execution should be displayed in the log file"?
Why are you trying to log to an external file rather than a table in the database? When you start talking about "row by row" and "success message", that starts to imply that you're going to be logging a lot of stuff. Logging a lot of data to an external file is going to be a substantial performance burden. Are you sure that is what you want to accomplish?
