System Logs Out Every Night Against My Will

I have a system that I need to stay up and running all night long for a few nights. One of the tasks it's doing is running Remote Desktop Admin to monitor system activity on my user base.
Every morning there is a message saying that logout was interrupted by Remote Desktop. As such, Remote Desktop stops running it's processes until someone hits "OK" for it to continue.
Here's what I can't figure out is what is triggering my logout. I have the system set to not log out after system inactivity, under Energy Saver. The box authenticates to an Open Directory server and is on an exclusion list by ethernet address set to never log out (which is working fine for the other systems in that list). I see nothing in the launchd or cron scripts that sets the box to log out. The only other things running, like a Retrospect Client and Virex don't seem to have any options set to log the box out. iCal doesn't have anything scheduled in it.
I'm at a loss! How do I figure out which process is activating the logout request? Looking through the console logs doesn't seem to turn up anything that points to a specific culprit.
The routines I'm running at night are quite critical, and I'm embarrased to have to tell management that I couldn't collect the information they need because my computer was acting screwy. But I literally can't figure out what's going on with this crazy thing...

Found the problem buried in the advanced button of the Security and Privacy Preferences.
Logout after 60 minutes of inactivity was checked.

Please follow the below steps to remove the error message of "You have been signed out".
          1: Open Activity monitor from spotlight and end all Adobe related processes. You may find processes like AAMupdater, AAMupdater notifier, Adobe Crash demon process.
          2: Open a Finder window, select Go>Go to folder option, type in ~/Library and hit enter.
                         (Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE)
          3: Now navigate to Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/.. folder.
          4: Delete opm file under OOBE.
          5: Rename OOBE to OOBEold.
          6: Check if you have AAMupdater in the same location.
          7: Please rename it to AAMupdaterold.
          8: Click on gear icon on Creative Cloud desktop app and choose Quit Creative Cloud.
          9: Then launch it, sign-in and click on Apps tab.
The error message will be removed.

My 2012 MBA on Mav 10.9.1 tries to log out every 10 to 12 minutes

My 2012 MBA on Mav 10.9.1 is closing out programs in the background every 10-12 min. and then trying to log out. When it get's to the one I'm working on,usually Xcode, I have to cancel the ''close", but other programs are closed out by then. Is Server 3.03 doing this? Preferences for screen saver and power mode at this point are set to "never", If I get up to take a phone call or use the facilities I'll come back to the login screen. At times it seems to be quicker than 10-12 minutes. It can drive you nuts when you have a few versions of your app up on xcode and maybe some reference pages from the dev lib up on chrome or safari, Email closes out also, so I don't realize, I just assume since I'm not getting notifications that I'm not getting mail. I hear my phone get the notifications though so if I were to stop the log out and open mail it would download them right away. Please help, it's driving me crazy.
One thing, this computer does act as a server when connected, but 99% of the time I am logged into my main server. Sorry its so long, I just couldn't quantify my question without the background information so that I can get a proper answer. So the question agin is, is the Server software on Maverick's doing this since my preferences are set to never go to slepp or a screen saver.
I have been working on an app for the last two months, doing everything with it as a one man show so the compter is used 20 hours a day.

Inspiron 5548 logs out every time I add/remove a second monitor

I have a new Dell Inspiron 5548 running Windows 8.1, and I noticed every time I change the monitor configuration the system logs me out. This happens if I connect a new monitor and change the configuration from "duplicate" to "extend" or if I connect or disconnect a monitor that I'm using as a second display. Any thoughts? Maybe a graphics card issue?
The system has Intel HD Graphics 5500 and an AMD Radeon R7 M270 card (4 GB).

Awesome! This worked for me as well. My steps to get this Intel driver:
1) Open Device Manager, select Display adapters, double click Intel HD Graphics 5500, go to Driver tab, click on Uninstall. I did not click the "remove driver" option. This operation logged me out.
2) Login. Open Device Manager and get to Display adapters as above. Now I saw a Microsoft basic driver instead of the Intel HD5500 driver. Double click it. Select the "Update Driver" button. Select the "Search automatically..." option. It went out and found Intel HD Graphics 5500, v10.18.14.4156, 3/3/2015 and installed it.
What's frustrating is that if you simply go to the Display adapters and select "Update Driver" for the installed (and problematic) 2014 version of HD5500 driver, it tells you it is already up to date! If you go to Intel site directly and download and run their Intel Driver Update Utility, it also doesn't indicate that a newer HD5500 driver exists.
Such a time waste.
Oh, and that support ticket I filed last week? Dell hasn't even assigned it yet. Way to go Dell, thanks (not) for the assistance.

System.log shows (every 3 minutes): no valid selfIDs for more than 2 min

Besides having to live with A LOT of USB 2.0 problems since the upgrade from 10.4.6 to 10.4.7 (like may other people reported) I also noticed a lot of errormessages in /var/log/system.log, that have to do with the Apple 6 port Firewire/USB2.0 PCI card.
When starting up the system a line gets written that says like:

Then, when the machine is properly running the log continues:

That is about 1 line every 3 minutes.
I only have 3 USB2.0 drives connected to my 6 port card, no Firewire devices!
After trying all suggestions found on the Apple-site I simply kept getting these errors until: I plugged in a 'Target-Disk-Mode' PowerBook over a Firewire cable. Then the errors stopped showing up and the interface appears to be happy. I can even remove the PowerBook from the Firewire port now without getting any errors!

So, a workaround is to (temporarily if you wish) connect a Firewire-disk to the card. That will stop the errormessages from showing up.
The solution has to come from Apple. Empty Firewire ports should be allowed to 'not send any valid selfIDs' ever...

Recurring messages in system.log. Every ten seconds.

Since upgrading from 10.4.11 to 10.5.1, I get the following recurring (every 10 seconds) messages in the system.log.
Leopard is complaining about user postfix having the same user ID as _postfix and some inability to launch something. The system attepts to launch it every ten seconds.
Do you have any idea about what can I do? I've repaired permissions, cleared caches, updated prebindings...

You have two problems here. One with NIS and one with mail.
The mail one sounds like your mail configuration didn't transfer smoothly. Did you customize it under 10.4?
Either way, this particular fix is easy.
Edit the file etc/postfix/main.cf and look for the line:
mail_owner = postfix
and change it to
mail_owner = _postfix
As for the NIS error (com.apple.nis.ypbind), are you running NIS?
If so, check the NIS settings in /Applications/Utilities/Directory Utility.app.
Either change the settings as necessary, or turn off NIS if you're not using it.

When logging out of user account iMac will not start back up at login screen.

To prevent guests from using my iMac I frequently "log out" and created a guest account. However when I log out and shut down, my iMac turns on
right back to my desktop not even returning to the "log-in" screen. I tried fixing this under preferences but this did not yield any help as it's still doing

Try rebooting into Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. It is possible one (or more) is corrupt. To reboot in Safe Model when you hear the startup tone hold down the Shift Key until you see a progress bar appearing.

Creative Cloud app logs out every 20-40 minutes.

Hi. My CC logs out very often during the day. I have to re-type my cc username and passwort approx: 20-30 time a day!!! Nearly every time I open a program like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Muse, Dreamweaver. Everytime I have to re-type my login. Problem exists since 7 weeks. Yesterday I made new WIN7 installation. But still same problem. I sit here in front of the screen sice 24 hours now to solve the problem. No success but huge amount of coffee.

Z60m System logging out on start up

I am facing problem with my Z60m Laptop. After Signing in, the windows start up screen comes up and after sometime, I get a Message Logging off and the system logs off automatically. I tried starting the system in the Safe mode but with same result.
Any ideas what would be the problem?

That error may come if you install 3rd party login manager. ex Lotus notes has single logon feature.
You need to uninstall program that you intalled just before that error. To log to pc try using safe mode with command prombt option in F8 manu.

I had something called backupd-helper cancel my log out last night. I was wondering it this is spyware? Can anyone help?

This morning I had a information window that read "The application backupd-helper cancled logout. To try again, quit backupd-helper and choose log out form the Apple menu." I look for this app on my dock, but it was not there. I used spot light to try to find it but it did not show up. I checked in my applications folder and utilities folder, but again no luck. Finally I used Activity Monitor and there it was, but as soon as I "inspected" it the process terminated and disappeared. It's parent app is Launchd. Any information would be very helpful, thanks.

This is part of Time Machine. It is a daemon helper, part of the backup process.
It is not spyware.

Unfortunately you are not providing us with any useful information. We need to know what app you are using to email at the very least. However what I'd suggest you do is call AppleCare, you have 90 days of free telephone support (the number is in your owners manual) and they will be happy to assist you. They're open M-Saturday so you will need to wait until tomorrow.

If I log out of my Itunes account will I lose my apps on my ipod?

I'm planing on giving my ipod to my brother, I want to get out of my itunes account so he can get on his but he wants some of the apps that I already have. If I logout of my Itunes account will my apps still be on my ipod?

It will not remove any media form the iPod except if you sign out/delete tjhe iClould account Contacts Calendar, Notes and Reminderswill be deleted.
Note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

Keyboard, trackpad, mouse settings got lost after every log out

The system does not remember several settings of my keybord, trackpad and mouse such as speed settings, function key settings. I have tried all possible solutions found on web inlucding, delete plist files, fix hard disk permissions etc. This only happens in one user account, if I create new user, all settings got remembered just fine. So I am pretty sure it's software issue. Any suggestions? Thank you.

As Topher was getting at, this is an issue with your global preferences property list, which is corrupted on your account.
All I would add to his suggestion, would be simply to reboot your computer after running his command. Log out and reboot. This will rebuild ~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist.
Adjust the settings, and test by logging out and then back in to see if this resolves your problem.

Out bound delivery against STO

My client requirement is to trace every movement against STO i-e system should track each GR against each GI against STO.
Meaning when we issue a goods against STO system should track against which GI user post GR as in the system there is no standard available to track this activity.
We will see a possibility that the we have posted a outbound delivery against STO and the GOODS ISSUE and similarly do the inbound delivery and then GR against STO this is the only way to track the Goods Receipts against Good Issue.
It is only suggestions kindly correct me if I am wrong and one more help how the system create out bound delivery against STO.
