System Overview empty in solution monitoring screen

Hi,
I am in the process of setting up monitoring for R/3 system from Solution Manager. Defined all required entries in SMSY. In the section Solution Monitoring -> System Monitor/Administration, the system overview is showing empty.... I mean SID names are not showing. Any idea what could be wrong ?
Thanks

Hi Aravind,
The only cause to this problem is your igs is not working and could be one more reason i.e you have not activated the services ( html, http, bsp and others ) in transaction SICF
you try this way and to activate the services follow the instruction from SPRO

  • Central system administration (CSA) in solution monitoring

    Hello,
I want to configure my solution manager for central system administration (CSA) which is a service provided under solution monitoring of transaction dswp.
I couldnt find any documents for this configuration.
Could you please help me out..
    Regards,
    Gurudath Pai

    Hi Gurudath,
If you have an s-user id, step-by-step tutor files with screenshots are available at
https://service.sap.com/rkt-solman > Solution Manager > Solution Manager 7 > Technology Consultant & System Administrator > System Monitoring, Administration
Before configuring CSA, you have to:
    1. Perform basic settings for Solman (use wizard based approach)
    2. Setup the system landscape
    3. Create solution
    4. Now you can configure CSA
    Revert if you need clarifications

  • Solution Monitoring System Overview

There are non-production systems showing in the system overview in Solution Monitoring.  They are dev and QA systems that are in the logical component.  How do I removc them?

    Hello Jerry,
Solution Monitoring overview just displays the the solutions and the number of systems rated green, yellow, red, etc for
Earlywatch Reports, System Monitoring, Business Process Monitoring, and Open Tasks.
As you can see Solution Monitoring is based on Solution, so whatever systems you have included in that solution will be included in the solution. The overview is an overview of the solutions in Solutin Monitoring. This is why it is called Solution Monitoring.
If you are talking about System Monitoring, or BPM or EWA, etc, then if you don't want non-production systems included, then they should not be included in the solution, or the status of those systems in the solution should not be "Put in Solution".
Perhaps you have not set up your solutions in the best way?

    Paul

  • Including all Systems in Solution Monitoring

    Hi,
We have created a solution in DSWP and this is for the ERP landscape, which has four systems DEV, TEST, QAS and PRD. on the solution monitoring tab under system monitoring/administration it only displays the PRD system and the PRD servers.
From the maintenance Optimizer it also only display the PRD system how can this be solved so as to show all the systems in the landscape?

    Hello Trevor,
I'm thinking about the same, but in my opinion you can only monitor PRD systems in Solution Manager.
To monitor DEV, TEST, QAS you can mark this system as PRD in SMSY and add this to your solution as next PRD systems.
I'm think this is not a good idea.

  • HP 2311xi Monitor Screen Scaling

Have an HP 2311xi Flat Panel Monitor and all was OKay, until I upgraded my operating system from Windows 8.0 Pro to Windows 8.1 Pro and now  my monitor screen size has about 1/2 inch of black screen around all edges of the display.  All was good with Windows 8.0 and the display filled the screen correctly form edge to edge.  I went to the monitor's display controls and under Main Menu; Image Control; Customer Scaling; the "Fill to Screen" and "Fill to Aspect Ratio" are grayed out and unavailable. The only option is "Overscan" and that give me either the 1/2 inch black border or causes the display to 'overscan' and puts part of the screen display off the screen. In an using HDMI as the input source to the display, however, I had no trouble with is under Windows 8.0.
Besides going back to Windows 8.0, any suggested fixes for this issue.
    Thanks,

    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi BillyMNJ,
Sorry for the confusion. Our situation is not exactly the same. Upgraded from Win 8 to Win 8.1 via MS Download Store. Graphics driver seemed to be OK except screen scaling issue. Did not check AMD driver version at that time. Then decicded to try HP's Win 8 AMD driver to correct scaling problem.. So I rolled back the graphics driver.
That solved the scaling issue but I was having other display problems.
Updated to the version you have on your system now. (image below). No resultant scaling issue after this update.
Had some minor issues so I uninstalled only AMD CCC using Programs and Features applet in Control Panel and selected Repair AMD Catalyst Install Manager because it (CCC) was present from the Win 8 HP unified driver install.
Maybe try uninstalling and removing only CCC if you have it or remove current graphics driver, reboot, and reinstall using Microsofts drivers ( the version we both have now) either via MS Win Update or device manager.
I have been troubleshooting the graphics problem since installing Win 8.1
Right now screen scaling issue has been corrected but have other minor issues.
I think this problem, in my case, is because the Radeon HD 7570 card is OEM - AMD does not provide support. So, if HP does not provide a Win 8.1 Unified driver package for my model, it is problematic as to whether a complete solution is possible.
    Hope this clarifies??

  • Monitor screen

    Hello,
I am running Lightroom 4 purchased 1 week ago ,with latest update.
Today there is an area on my monitor screen that does not respond to the curser. I could not make a selection anywhere in that area.
The area size was about 4.3in x 4.4in. Position about centre and approx 2.3in from the top of the screen.
    I was in Library mode.
By going  Edit > Select all  I could selecy all photos but not individually with curser.
I am using an imac  OS 10.7.5   27in monitor.
Using a spreadsheet program the curser works in this area.
But, I also cannot make a selection with the curser on the desktop in this area.
I minimised the Lightroom window and could not right click and select anywhere in that area.
    Now,
I have just quit Lightroom, restarted and this area of monitor is again responding to the curser.
Is this a one off or has anybody had similar problem?
    Regards

    Hello @luckyguy,
I understand that while working on your HP Pavilion All-In-One PC running Windows 7 64-bit the screen went dim and will not return to normal. When you say you were working on it do you mean using the computer or you actually had it apart? I would be happy to assist you, but first I would encourage you to post your product number for your computer. I am linking an HP Support document below that will show you how to find your product number. As with this I can provide you with accurate information.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
In the meantime an update may of come through and caused you this issue. I am providing you with an HP Support document: Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7), which will walk you through using Microsoft System Restore to roll your system back to before the issue occured.
Please re-post with the requested information if the restore does not work and I would be happy to provide you with further assistance. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
Please click the "Thumbs Up" on the bottom right of this post to say thank you if you appreciate the support I provide!

  • Nothing is displayed in System Overview.

    Hi,
I have taken over a Solution Manager and will set up system monitoring. When selecting Solution Monitoring > System Monitoring no system overview is displayed. Only this text:
    "Action canceled
Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable."
It looks like the system overview should be displayed in web, but that is not possible for the moment. EWAs are displayed, by the way. Also when selecting Alert Overview (button) a DEV system is displayed with a few alerts).
I assume there are some settings that are not correctly configured. Does anyone know more about this?
    Thanks!
    Best Regards,

  • DSWP Solution Monitoring some Alerts with a grey ranking

    Hallo Solman Gurus,
I have a problem since I have seted up the solution Monitoring in transaction DSWP. Some of my monitored Elements have a grey ranking (like the SAPOSCOL status). It very strange, when I navigate to the Alert overview it shows me the green, yellow and red ranking for the selected MTE's and also this gray ranking.
My first suggestion was, the the selected MTE is only a info Element, like the IP Adress, means the MTE show only a static value after its started. But I got also the grey ranking for Security, Syslog and TMS MTE's.
When I commit all red rankings in of a system and go back to the System overview, the former commited system has a general grey status and not a green. Does anybody knows, what this grey status means and how I can solve the issue, the the MTE's have the correct ranking??? My Solman Version is 7EHP1 SP3.
    Thanks and Bye.

    Hello,
Please check the following two notes which should resolve your issue:
762696 - Grey rating for Earlywatch Alert
1322899 - EWA incomplete after importing EHP/product incorrect
    Thanks,

  • How do I play a video in full-screen mode on one screen of a dual-screen Windows 7 system without blanking out the other screen?

How do I play a video in full-screen mode on one screen of a dual-screen Windows 7 system without blanking out the other screen?  Not losing the other screen would be useful as I would like to, for example, monitor my emails whilst watching a video or to work on a project whilst watching an instructional video.
Note : Resizing a window to fill the screen is not acceptable as it still leaves unsightly borders.

  • How do I print only the text on the monitor screen?

I would like to be able to print only that portion of a text that is on the monitor screen. How do I do that?
I have an Epson Workforce 325 printer, and an HP desktop computer PC

Please see the following to print only the text portion of the web page. I am assuming you wish to print just the text & not the ads or additional irrelevant items to avoid wasting ink.
