System Password and Security
We are installing AirParrot to our iMac (it mirrors our computer on our TV), but we are not getting sound. In order to install an audio driver, we are asked to type in our system password. If we do this, will we be compromising our computer security? TY
Ensure that the software came from a trusted source; drivers and anything else which contains system components will require your password to be installed.

When going into My Apple Id then Password and Security, it is looking for you to answer security questions. I have forgotten them. The option on the bottom where you can send the request security info does not appear. I have tried different computers and different operating systems but still cannot get the option to appear.

I cant use my iphone properly.. im stock with my OLD Apple id..Its simple - if you honestly cannot remember a single piece of security information associated with the account, or even the name of the AppleID itself, the only possability of help is to call Apple and ask them if there is anything they can do. There is nothing anyone here or elsewhere can possible do to help you.
Apple offers several means of ensuring you can recover an account or AppleID, but if you cannot remember a single one of those security features, then only Apple can, if at all possible, help you and only then if you pick up a telephone and talk to them.
The strong odds are that even Apple will not help you. I know that with the two step verification option, if you cannot at least remember two of the three security features used with that system, they will tell you the account is simply lost to your for good. They can only be help responsible for helping you recover information up to a point - at some point, it all comes down to you remebering at least some of your own information. -
I have forgotten my security questions but when I click on My Apple ID and got to password and security, there is no option to rest my questions and/or send my self a rescue email, what do I do now ?

I forgot the answers for the security questions and when I try to change them (My Apple ID -> Manage your account -> Password and Security) I'm asked to answer the exact questions I'm trying to change because I don't remember the answers. How can I do it?

I want to change my rescue email address.I've followed the instructioins to step 4. I have no 'Password and Security@ to click. Is there an easy way to change it?

for some reason apple thinks ill know the answers when im trying to change them haha :/ does anyone know how to bypass this or any other way to change the security questions for your account?

Start here, and reset your password, you will receive an email with your new password, then go to manage your account > Password and Security and change your security questions.

If your rescue email is not working and you cannot remember even one answer, then you only have one option - call Apple.

Two-step verification is not available in "Passwords and Security" as it should be
In order to activate two-step verification for my apple account I was told to log in at appleid.apple.com, go to "Passwords and Security" and locate "Two step verification".
It is not there. I answer the security questions, I can change my password, set a rescue email, change my security questions, but no "two-step verification".
I live in Romania, does that have anything to do with it? Are my people not worthy of extra security yet?2-step verification is not available in Romania as yet. There isn't any information about roll-out to countries in which it's not yet available.

I do not have the option to change my security information when I sign in to my Apple ID and goto Password and security. Why not?
Just to be clear - what are you signing into? You could be talking about connecting or setting a computer or device to your icloud or itunes account. You could be talking about logging into your icloud account using a browser to icloud.com. Or you may have followed a link to an Apple page that lets you edit your account.
If you can't remember your security questions/answers then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox) - but some recent posts are saying that Apple have temporarily suspended the reseting of security question/answers whilst account security processes are improved, so it may take longer. -

Go to Appleid.apple.com and choose Manage ID you can change them from there.
You can add a rescue email if you don't have one there too.
