System("pause") Error

Question

Hello,
Can someone please explain why system("pause") is not being recognized in the following sample code in 2010 Express?  Thanks! Dustin

Define "simple function". There are thousans of functions in the C  standard library: how do you tell "simple" from "complex" ones?
