System Performance Scores for W530?

I would like to know what other's system performance scores are (control panel/system/performance) on their W530s...specifically configured with
: Intel Core i7-3720QM processor (6M Cache)
NVDIA Quadro K1000M Graphics with 2GB DDR Memory
8 GB DDR-1600MHZ (2 DIMM)
500GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200pm
Windows 8 Pro 64 (if that is important)
I am confused about my scores, They are not what I expected them to be.

System variable Quiz Score deducts points when lesson is re-opened (Capt 5.5 with Kallidus LMS)

I'm trying to get to grips with quizing and reporting, particularly complete/incomplete to check content has been covered. I've set up a small test file that awards 1 point to each 'Next' button. The project works well in the LMS when completed in one go and if the user exits halfway through (LMS does report correctly as Incomplete 50%). The problem occurs when reopening the lesson it shows the score correctly for a moment then deducts points.
I've also included a user variable in the project to keep score too. I've tried various options e.g. default data tracking, user can skip quiz, etc but the issue remains.
Pictures below illustrate the problem
First opened - Top score is user set variable, bottom is system variable cpQuizInfoPointsscored
Halfaw and re-open - Completed course to halfway and both scores on lesson both at 5. Shut down lesson and re-opened. The system variable showed 5 for about one second then went to 4 whereas the user variable shows the 'correct' score of 5.
I've looked at the debug file for the LMS and can see that it seems to be behaving as it should i.e calling for postion scores etc and they are correct. Any help appreciated!

There’s no recorded content, I just started a new blank project (so no leftovers from other projects either). The problem occurs in the Kallidus LMS imported as scorm 1.2 package.
Also, finally got it to work in 'Reload Scorm Player' and the lesson acts the same way.

Mac Mini GeekBench score for 2.26, 4GB and 320 HD

I just got my new Mac mini.
People have been asking about "is it worth it to get the upgrades", I won't comment on that as its really a personal perspective thing, but here is the score for my machine (all factory upgrades).

My decision was based on wanting a replacement for my Dual G5 1.8, 3GB Power Mac. This new mac mini is very fast (in my opinion) even with the "slow" 5400 RPM disk. The idea is that I'm waiting for Leopard to come out to replace the Power Mac fully, this Mac Mini will then replace my AppleTV for Media Center using Plex. I wanted as much flexibility so I went 2.26 and 4GB memory. I also think this thing is an incredible piece of art, I couldn't bring myself to crack the case

Most relevant test score for PPro CS5 to run on notebook?

Hi, I hope I didn't miss this topic anywhere in the forum. Since I am in the market for a new notebook to occasionally edit 3-5min clips of panasonic HMC 150 AVCHD material (most of the time just office work), I was wondering what the best and still affordable notebook (EUR 1500-1800) would be. Apart for a wide discussion of system requirements and recommendations I couldn't find what would be the most relevant test score to assess how well PPro CS5 is going to work. Some say you need to get a notebook for EUR 3000, some say one for EUR 1200 would still work - I guess it depends on how much you are going to edit and how much time you have. I was curious if there was such a score that serves as a guideline. For example, below you find such test scores for a Sony notebook. What would be the most informative as to whether and how well PPro CS5 will work. Any information is greatly appreciated.
btw: I would appreciate recommendations on these two notebooks

thank you very much for your answer. Do you think the following notebook would be suitable for occasional editing of 3-4min clips (we have got a desktop editing machine with i7, 12gb, nvidia gts250, and 4 7200 barracuda hdds)? so basically it should only be able to work as a backup editing machine in case two clips have to be finished at the same time. since there is only one hdd, I could put an sdd into it as well. and I could upgrade to 16gb ram. the reason, why this particular notebook is interesting for me, is that through a student discount I can get it for EUR 1,700 instead of EUR 2,500 (cheapest price on the market for this setup). I am aware that it won't be as fast as my desktop (which works spledidly with avchd!), but it should be faster than a retired snail overtaking during his afternoon nap ;-)
I would really appreciate your opinion on that one or from anybody else that has particular experiences with this notebook and avchd!

Warranty issues for W530

I purchased a fairly loaded W530 in May of 2013 for our machine shop to do CAD/CAM work. We have been happy with the machine thus far. Because we have to do some mobile work we recently bought a Lenovo LT1421 external display to make going mobile more convienent.
We have had non stop problems ever since installing the Lenovo drivers for this external display. Mostly the windows desktop manager crashing every 30 minutes, regardless of the external display being connected or not. When it crashes it often takes out any programs runnign with it, but not always. It does not matter if the computer is in use or not, even sitting idle it will crash.
Then yesterday the wireless card decided to quit working (Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300).
Went through all the basics of completely removing and reinstalling drivers for the wireless card, and both video cards (NVIDIA Quadro K2000M 2GB).
I also tried system restore from a few different points but kept unexpected and traceable errors, so I couldn't complete that process.
At this point I called tech support. I had to speak with 3 different techs, all of which tried the same things I had already done, with the same dismal results. I spent 4 hours with these guys and they don't have a slight clue as to what the problem is. This is when I requested that we use my 3yr onsite next business day warranty. And to my surprise they say they have no record of it!
I purchased this laptop through the Lenovo webpage, and purchased the warranty on the same order/at the same time. As you can see with the attached copy of my order. To make matters worse is that they say they can't verify if I purcahsed the warranty or not, I can only email the department that deals with it and hope to receive a response. I told the technician that is completely unacceptable, I want to talk to get this resolved asap. I paid for next business day for a reason!! Is that really so hard to understand?

I sent the email to Lenovo requesting they honor the warranty I paid for. Needless to say I have no received a response.
I can't believe that Lenovo, a company that specializes in "business solutions" runs such a pathetic excuse for a business themselves.
What I am wondering is what other recourse do I have? How normal is this of Lenovo?

Very Low 3DMark Vantage Score for CPU w/ W520

Hi, all. I'm wondering if my fellow W series owners with i7s are getting similar scores as I in the free version of the benchmarking program 3DMark Vantage. Please note that results are online-only with the free version, so make sure you've got an internet connection.
My Results
Normally I don't care too much for benchmarks, but I became concerned when my score was much lower than others that I'd seen after running a Google search. I have an i7 2720QM and am getting around 5200-5300 for the CPU score. I looked at several results from similar builds, and the CPU scores for the same proc are in the 19,000-20,000 range for CPU score. It thinks my processor clock is at 797MHz, for some bizarre reason.
Just to be sure it wasn't my power settings, I ran it again on the Maximum Performance power profile, but received the same craptastic score. All of these scores are with the laptop plugged in. I have the latest graphics drivers from Nvidia (downloaded today) and the 1.30 BIOS with ver. 3.62 of the Power Manager. TurboBoost is up and running, and my system routinely hits over 3.1GHz. I'm stumped. Would anybody mind posting their results?

i am doing a sample out bound scenario (idoc 2 file), distributing idoc from sap system to csv file (in same network). in this can i use thchnical system type 'third party' for R3 system. will the scenario work properly or not.
And some times some of the business systems in SLD are not visible in ID, when assigning business system in ID.can any one tell reason for this.

--- No u can't use this...Ur technical system must be "WebAS ABAP" only. For file system you use 3rd party system. means ur technical system like follows.

Click "Clear SLD cache" repeatly for some time in ID, it will come.

If you have the two allotted activations already and one was lost on the hard drive that failed then you need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations.

Probably, its due to incorrect RFC Adapter properties in config.
Go to Integration COnfiguration. Double Click on the Business System for your R/3 system. On the right hand screen, Click on Service-->Adapter Specific Parameters.
Check whether the Logical System Name comes up as SAP<SID> and whether R/3 system ID and Client are appropriate.
If these values are inappropriate, make changes to the corresponding Technical System defined in the SLD. After you have made the necessary corrections, come back to Integration COnfiguration, Double click on Business SYstem for R/3. Switch to Edit Mode. Click on Service-> Adapter Specific Parameters and then click on the Icon between Apply and Cancel buttons, inorder to compare with SLD and make those values reflect in config. Then click on Apply and Save the Business System.
After this, you can retry sending the message.

So,there was no necessity of creating DNS.How your app communicates with db shouldn't matter for the end user. Still, you may want to use a functional network name also for the thin client driver connection string.
So,is there any other way to solve this problem.What is the problem really? Do you not use dns for network naming? Maybe you have to manage the hosts file on every client then.

What's the problem? I'm using a HTTP connection in the comm. channel. In this http connection a user with SAP_ALL is defined.

Login to system D18 and client 200 and check the TC SLDCHECK and also as per my pervious message check the entries in the SLDAPICUST, it should point to the Server on which SLD is present usually XI server https.
Actually what happens in this error is when you are done with the configuration part in the ID, you are trying to eceute the scenario File to proxy, when it comes to identify the receiver system which is D18 clnt 200, it goes to SLD to check it and SLD is trying to ping to the machine D18 this connection is set from the TC SLDAPICUST on the machine D18.
here the problem is that either the D18 is not able to ping to the SLD and also try refreshing the SLD cache.

My sceanrio is Proxy to JDBC. and its B2B. am sending the data from BI system and based on the country field from the source, table is decided and value is updated in the table.
In RWB->Component Monitoring->Adapter Engine->Test Message, I have given the Sender component,Receiver Party,Receiver component,Interface,Interface Namespace,userid and password,Quality of Service and pasted the payload.
Now I am getting the error :Error While Sending Message: Error stack from response: Error while reading ID of own business system from the SLD for system DPI and client 001 Internal error in Landscape Directory
Please help me out.

Is there a comparable automatic back-up system to Time Machine for 10.4.11?

My dad has 10.4.11 running on a G4 tower.
I want to get him a back-up system that will save all his work.   I myself have an Intel Mac running 10.6.8, with Time Machine saving all of my work to an external HD.
I know you can't use Time Machine with 10.4.11   Is there a comparable back-up system to TM that does automatic back-ups for 10.4.11?
(One other note--he still maintains Classic OS 9 on his system as well as 10.4.11.   Will the back-up device also back up whatever he has on OS 9 as well as 10.4.11? And does it also back up the actual system software--the OSs 10.4.11 and 9--as well as all the files? So if he needed the backups, he would not need the system discs?)

BUG! Not system locale Filenames support for 32-bit applications error in Windows 8.1 x64.
All Windows x64 (XP,2003,2007,Vista,7,8) have no support for not system locale filenames|foldernames for all 32-bit applications. I think it is BUG!
For example, it is possible to read files|folders with French or Chinese in English locale windows installed, rename it, but it is not possible open it, edit or delete. (ERRORS: File not found OR Unknown format)
With using 64-bit programs no such problems. How does it works and how can I fix this? Is it problem with encoding in translating kernel instructions for 32-bit apps in x64 Windows OS's? Whether there are
solutions to this problem OR some hacks|fixes?
