Yes. Or, if your Mac came with Snow Leopard, call AppleCare. They can send duplicates for a nominal fee.
Don't assume you can or wish to upgrade to Lion immediately; make sure all your hardware and apps will be compatible first.

Classic in System Preferences,please Help.

I installed Tiger and in system preferences there wasn't classic in the system section
but yesterday i downloaded a font (OS 9 font,i didn't know) and classic started,but i haven't any OS folder then i closed it.
but...since i've acidentally stared Classic in the system preferences there is the classic menu,only in my user...how do i delete it?
i tried preferences and chaces but nothing happened

If you started in OS 9, you must have an OS 9 folder. Go to Spotlight and type in Classic and OS 9 and delete the folders you find there. I'm not sure why you would want to delete it, there are still some things that only work in 9 and it doesn't hurt your computer to have it.

(What i mean is the following, Settings>iCloud then it will freeze before you entering email, then follow the steps below)
turn off your iPhone.
log out from iCloud, in any device (Mac Book, iPad, iPod, PC, what ever, Remember any device that you may used the account there).
turn on your iPhone, and try now to log in to iCloud. ( you should be OK to log in, and you can type email now before it is hangs)
* if you tried these steps and you can type the email and password and it is still hanging after you click "Sign in" then you need to do the following.
create a new iCloud account from iCloud website with domain iCloud (for example, [email protected] , YOU SHOULD NOT USE OTHER DOMAINS LIKE GMAIL, HOTMAIL OR WHAT EVER TO CREATE THE ACCOUNT).
then go back and use the new iCloud email to log in in your iPhone. ( I hope by that time you will be OK (^_^)).

Need Help with error message on the Network Systems Preferences, Please

In Systems Preference, > Network, I get the error message "Your network settings been changed by another application," with an active OK button. However, when I click the OK button, it persists and does not allow me to access the screen. The only way to end this is to force quit Systems Preferences.
Do you have any idea what is causing this freeze? I have a TimeWarner Internet connection (which I want to change to Verizon as soon as I resolve this). For a while I had Earthlink DSL which didn't work well at all. Could it be something with the not-used Earthlink or the current TimeWarner?
Any ideas about the cause and, more importantly, the solution?

My computers have not been networked, intentionally. I like having them autonomous. So I have a separate Internet connection for each. And maybe that's what I need to maintain.
In the house is a Mac Mini and the house phone with new Verizon modem. In the separate office, I have my G5 tower, which is really my main computer.
Was just on phone with Verizon Tech who did say that they do not support Mac. They made a decision not to because there are fewer of us. However, I can purchase a premium support which appears to cover such support.
I've not seen the Verizon commercials, but I expect that they are filled with hype. The one I laugh at the most on the FIOS cable video is that they call their cable user interface "intuitive."

Restore missing system preference pain HELP

so I have exhausted all avenues, tried EVERY trip and trip I could find online and here in Apple Support PLUS Apple Support Communities to try and restore this missing pain (I cannot access system preferences NO MATTER how much I try, and the last 5 days of searching has lead me to figure out, I am missing this system preference pain)
So how do I restore this very important part to my system. I am running the latest software on my iMac, which is a referbished system and I do not have any disc's and as I mentioend above, I have tried EVERYTHING, what does one do when this has gone missing? I'm about to throw the whole thing OUT THE WINDOW (no pun intended, I really do love windows too LMAO)

ALSO : open that make sure that tracker and any non mac program and find the preferences and sure that any non Mac program is set up to ask you before deleting any files .

Now I want to modify below file that allow the discussion to keep going until one of the user input is "BYE" in uppercase without any preceding and trailing characters. Logic crashes when you click Preferences (PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!)

Since i upgraded to 10.5.4 Logic has been buggy. It freezes when i try to bounce and crashes when i click preferences. I'm trying to change the buffer size but it wont let me.
Anyone having the same problems? please help! I have a client that needs her bounces asap.

yea under the apple icon i see system preferences but when ever i try opening anything that is involve with system preferences this is what a get

Remove/delete all WD drive software. It is not needed on OS X and can actually harm your hard drives if used with OS X's own drive utilities.
Remove the WD drive app fron your login/startup items.
Add or remove automatic items
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.
Select your user account, then click Login Items.
Do one of the following:
Click Add below the list on the right, select an app, document, folder, or disk, then click Add.If you don’t want an item’s windows to be visible after login, select Hide. (Hide does not apply to servers, which always appear in the Finder after login.)
Select the name of the item you want to prevent from opening automatically, then click Delete below the list on the right.

Your year and model Mac can take a total of 6 GBs of RAM.
I seriously and STRONGLY advise you purchase and install the full 6 GBs of RAM.

Do the related browser.gesture prefs on the about:config page still have a value set for those gestures?
Which Firefox function should be performed with those gestures?
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Is this a new controller? First time connecting? Does the controller have an IP address set?
The Windows firewall may interfere with detecting a cRIO if it's the first time. Make sure your fire wall is off and try MAX again.
