  • Which of these 2 articles is correct on Pentium processor system requirement for Flash Player 10?

http://www.ehow.com/info_8526453_flash-player-10-system-requirements.html says that Flash Player 10 on Windows computers requires "a Pentium 4 processor running at 2.33 GHz or an Athalon 64 2800+ processor."
    However, http://www.downloadatoz.com/essentialware/adobe-flash-player/what-is-system-requirement-of -adobe-flash-player-10_g.html says:
"System Requirements of Adobe Flash Player 10:
    • Windows 2000, XP(SP2 and above), Windows Server, Windows Vista., Macintosh OS X, Linux
    • Intel Pentium 450MHz, AMD Athlon 600MHz processor (for Windows);...(for Mac)"
My ThinkPad PC does not meet the processor system requirement for Flash Player 11 or 12, and does not meet what ehow.com (above) says is the processor system requirement for Flash Player 10. However, it does meet what www.downloadatoz.com (above) says is the processor system requirement for Flash Player 10. Adobe.com has the operating system requirements for Flash Player 10, but no longer has the processor system requirement for Flash Player 10.
    My question is:
    (a) Is that "Intel Pentium 450MHz [or] Intel Core Dual" system requirement (from downloadatoz.com) for Flash Player 10.0 and that "Pentium 4 processor running at 2.33 GHz" system requirement (from ehow.com) for a later version of Flash Player 10 (like 10.1); or (b) is one of those two sources (ehow.com and downloadatoz.com) mistaken as to the processor system requirement for Flash Player 10 on Windows computers? If (b), which of those two is the correct Pentium system requirement for Flash Player 10?

What processor does your thinkpad have?
I know they now come with an Intel M, which is the functional equivalent of the Atom, and for ALL intents and purposes, meets the minimum for Flash Player 12 or 13 as long as it's 1.66gHz or faster.
Using, or even considering using, Flash Player 10 in a system newer than Windows 98 or 2000 (SP1 or 2), is unwise and unsafe, expecially if it isn't a "standalone" (not connected) system.

  • System requirements for MUSE

I have an "older" Mac Pro (2006) and am wondering if I can run Muse on it? Will it work with Creative Cloud? Model identifier: MacPro 1,1. Processor 2x2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon. OS 10.6.8. I currently use CS 5.5 Design Premium. Thanks for any words of wisdom...

  • Realistic system requirements for Design Premium?????

    Hi,
Can anyone give me some realistic system requirements for CS4 Design Premium? I am just about ripping my hair out with having to reboot several times a day because i'm running out of memory!
I am current running:  32 bit XP SP3, 3GHz processor and 3.25GB RAM with a 500GB hard drive of which 379GB is free.
I can't install more memory without going to a 64 bit operating system which would mean wiping the PC and reinstalling everything.
The advertised requirements are only 2GBHz processor and 1MB RAM. (perhaps this might work if only opening one program at a time????)
Also considering buying a MAC - I've had designers tell me they never have to reboot - guess it depends on their specs too. What are the disadvantages of a MAC over a PC?
    Advice would be appreciated!!
    Cheers,
    Karen

    Thanks Michael,
    I do use a few of the programs at once:  Bridge + Photoshop + Illustrator + Indesign (actually, have learnt cannot run all of these at once but would love to!);
Dreamweaver + Fireworks (Fireworks constantly causes me headaches where files become locked and cannot be saved - all due to shortage of memory)
Usually run virus software - full scan weekly, so am pretty sure my system is clean.
Great idea about disabling Virus software - will ensure I unplug from modem first!! I will give that a go.
    Cheers,
    Karen

  • Minimum system requirements for installing Oracle Application Testing Suite

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me what are the minimum system requirements for intalling Oracle Application Testing Suite?
    Thanks in Advance

    From the release notes (12.1.0.2).
    System Requirements
Oracle Application Testing Suite has the following system requirements:
    4
    3.1 Oracle Functional Testing/OpenScript
Oracle Functional Testing’s OpenScript scripting platform has the following system
    requirements:
    ■ Operating System (32-bit and 64-bit versions): Windows XP, Windows Vista,
    Windows 2003, Windows 7, Windows 2008
    ■ Memory: Minimum 1 GB
    ■ System: x86, 32-bit or 64-bit processor, 2.6 GHz or faster
    ■ Disk Space: 4 GB minimum
    ■ Browser: Internet Explorer 7.x, 8.x., 9.x and Firefox 3.5/3.6, 6.x
    3.2 Oracle Load Testing
Oracle Load Testing has the following system requirements:
    ■ Operating System (32-bit and 64-bit versions): Windows XP, Windows Vista,
    Windows 2003, Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows 2008 R2. Oracle Enterprise
    Linux 5.1, 5.2 64, 4u8.
    ■ Memory: Minimum 2 GB.
    ■ System: x86, 32-bit or 64-bit processor, 2.6 GHz or faster
    ■ Disk Space: 10 GB minimum free (at least 3 GB free on the system drive)
    ■ Browser: Internet Explorer 7.x, 8.x, 9.x, Firefox 3.5/3.6, 6.x
    ■ Database: Oracle EE 10g or 11g, XE 10g
    ■ Application Server: Oracle WebLogic 11g (10.3.5.0). Oracle Application Testing
Suite requires the standard WebLogic Server installation (which includes jrocket
jdk.). It does not support generic versions of WebLogic Server installation (such as
    those that use wls1035_generic.jar).
    ■ Oracle Load Testing Agent also supported on Linux 32-bit & 64-bit, in addition to
Windows 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems listed above
Note: These are minimum requirements only and actual
requirements for the Oracle Load Testing Server will vary depending
on the size and configuration of your load test. If you are running
larger load tests, of greater than 1000 Virtual Users, you should
consider deploying Oracle Load Testing on a faster server class
    machine with additional RAM recommended.
Note: Oracle recommends running the Oracle Load Testing Server
and Agents on separate systems for production load testing. The
amount of memory required on the Oracle Load Testing Agent
systems may increase based on the number of Virtual Users that will
be assigned to run on each Agent. For more information, visit the
QA/Testing Technology Center on Oracle Technology Network or
    contact your Oracle representative.
    5
    3.3 Oracle Test Manager
Oracle Test Manager has the following system requirements:
    ■ Operating System (32-bit and 64-bit versions): Windows XP, Windows Vista,
    Windows 2003, Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows 2008 R2. Oracle Enterprise
    Linux 5.1, 5.2, 4u8.
    ■ Memory: Minimum 2 GB.
    ■ System: x86, 32-bit or 64-bit processor, 2.6 GHz or faster
    ■ Disk Space: 10 GB minimum free (at least 3 GB free on the system drive)
    ■ Browser: Internet Explorer 7.x, 8.x, 9.x, Firefox 3.5/3.6, 6.x
    ■ Database: Oracle EE 10g or 11g, XE 10g
    ■ Application Server: Oracle WebLogic 11g (10.3.5.0). Oracle Application Testing
Suite requires the standard WebLogic Server installation (which includes jrocket
jdk.). It does not support generic versions of WebLogic Server installation (such as
    those that use wls1035_generic.jar).
    3.4 Additional Notes
The following are additional notes about system requirements:
    ■ The ATS installer can automatically install and configure an Oracle 10g Express
Edition (XE) database for use with Oracle Load Testing and Oracle Test Manager.
Although this is useful for demos, for production usage switching to Oracle's 11g
Enterprise Edition database is highly recommended. Oracle 11g Standard Edition
and Oracle 10g EE or SE are also supported.
    ■ System memory requirements do not take into account other processes that may
be running and using memory on your system, reducing free uncommitted
    memory available.
    ■ When installed on the same machine, Oracle Load Testing and Oracle Test
Manager will run on the same server and use shared system resources. Oracle
Functional Test/OpenScript is a separate application that have its own memory
    and CPU requirements.
    ■ The ATS products will run in 32-bit compatibility mode when installed on 64-bit
operating systems. It is possible for Oracle Application Testing Suite to be installed
on an existing WebLogic server. However, if the pre-installed WebLogic server is
JRockit plus WebLogic (64-bit) environment, some functions in Oracle Application
Testing Suite will not work properly. Oracle Application Testing Suite can be
    installed on a 32-bit WebLogic, but not a 64-bit.
    ■ The legacy Oracle Functional Testing, VB-based scripting platform and associated
components (such as Job Scheduler) are no longer included with the ATS installer
Note: These are minimum requirements only and actual
requirements for Oracle Test Manager will vary depending on the
quantity of test assets stored and number of concurrent users
accessing the application. If you have a large quantity of test cases,
requirements or issues stored and/or are deploying Oracle Test
Manager for a team greater than 10 users, you should consider
deploying Oracle Test Manager on a faster server class machine with
    additional RAM recommended.
    6
starting with version 9.2. Customers that still require this product should

  • Steep System Requirements for HD Video

Did anyone notice the system requirements for HD video in iTunes 8?
"Playing HD-quality videos purchased on the iTunes Store requires a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor"
and "Playing videos also requires at least 16MB of video RAM"
I'm not sure if the video RAM requirement would mean that any Mac with integrated graphics would be excluded or not.
On CPU requirements alone, my 1.83 GHz MBP and certainly my iMac G5 are excluded, but it also excludes the current base Mac Mini (often purchased as a media center) and either version of the MacBook Air.
I plan to experiment to see if an HD video I buy from iTunes will play smoothly on my MBP, but I'm a little confused as to why the requirements are so steep. My MBP certainly has the processing power to play HD video. It can play any of the HD trailers from Apple.

I have a 2.0 GHz Imac early 2006 with the original Core Duo. I'm buying 5 episodes from Eureka Season 3. I played a few minutes of the first one, and it seemed fine. It uses about 100% of one processor. Using 100% on a single processor system would be a big problem, because any minor peak would make it run out of juice. But 100% of one processor on a 2-core system should be fine as long as it's using both cores. At any rate, in a short test things looked fine.
If it's really using threads properly it looks to me like even the 1.83 GHz Core Duo might work.

  • What are the system requirements for 4.0 of Firefox?

I am trying to found out what the system requirements are for 4.0 of Firefox.
I ask this because I am currently running Firefox 3.6 on 11.3 OpenSUSE Linux. I am considering an OS upgrade. I built a LiveCD to test the new OS before installing and when I try running Firefox it crashes. It is apparently 4.0 beta or something. Nowhere can I find a simple list of system requirements for Firefox.

Have the system requirements for Lion been posted anywhere?

This is from the Apple Lion site:
Step 1:Make sure your Mac can run Lion.
Your Mac must have an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor to run Lion. Find out if your current Mac has one of these processors by clicking the Apple icon at the top left of your screen, then choosing About This Mac.
Step 2:Make sure you have the latest version of Snow Leopard.
Get up to date with the latest version of OS X Snow Leopard to purchase OS X Lion from the Mac App Store. If you have Snow Leopard, click the Apple icon and choose Software Update to install the latest version.

  • What are the system requirements for downloading Lion 10.7?

What are the Mac Mini system requirements for downloading Lion OS X 10.7?

    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

  • System requirements for Acrobat X1

Below are the system requirements for Acrobat X1, as noted on the Adobe download page.
Note that Windows XP is supported, as is Windows 7.  Nothing in between.
Does this mean that Vista is not supported?  Really??
These system requirements are for Adobe® Acrobat® XI Pro software, v11.0. Because system requirements change with each software update, refer to the Release Notes for your software version for the latest information on supported operating systems and browsers.
    Windows
    1.3GHz or faster processor
    Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 3 for 32 bit or Service Pack 2 for 64 bit; Windows Server® 2003 R2 (32 bit and 64 bit); Windows Server 2008 or 2008 R2 (32 bit and 64 bit); Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit); or Windows 8 (32 bit and 64 bit)
    512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)

It may run, but from what has been reported it appears that it will not even install. I have no clue why, but that is consistent with the system requirements statement. Usually these system requirements indicate systems on which the software has been tested and is still supported by Adobe. It might work on other systems, but no support is provided by Adobe and you are at risk that it will even install. So as I see a question: NO, VISTA is not supported even if you are successful with the install.
