System Requirements for Hosting an Event - What about Siebel Remote ?

Siebel 7.8 bookshelf, chapter 8 "Hosting an Event", section "System Requirements for Hosting an Event" mentions that a dedicated connection to Siebel Database is required. Does this really mean you cannot use Siebel Remote to manage Events on a local DB if you are on site with no access to the network ? Are you understanding the same ? Any experiences or comments ?
Best Regards to All
Fred

My guess is you can, unless there is some Server triggered stuff that doesn't get triggered from the Remote Client. Although usually the trigger still happens as soon as you synchronize.
If you are not doing any "complex" stuff, you should still be able to manage Accounts and Contacts, for example.
You can test this yourself and see if you need to activate any Views for local use. To be really sure I think it is better to talk to your TAM or open a low prio SR.
If you really need to be connected, you better investigate the use of UMTS, GPRS, etc.

  • What are the System Requirements for Web Server hosting Adobe Air application

Working on a project that is using Adobe Air . The Adobe support site has system requirements for the client side application, but for the server side, what are the system requirements?
Using a Windows server, would expect to have approx. 100 concurrent connections at any given time.

Adobe AIR applications are installed on the end user's computer. They are not hosted on a web server. You can deploy an AIR file, which is the installer file for an AIR application, via your web server.

  • What are the minimum system requirements for GB 4?

What are the minimum system requirements for GB 4? I did search this forum but wasn't able to find a direct answer.
I'm running version 3.0.4 successfully on a lowly G4 733 but I suspect this is as far as I can go.
I'm updating to iDvd'08 and was also wondering if I can safely update to GB4 or not (from GB 3.0.7) on a G4 733 mhz Digital Audio. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. My guess is that I cannot but I'd like to confirm prior to attempting any further updates in GB.

I try my best to play it safely; always. And you were right, everything worked on the ext. FW HD flawlessly ...... truly amazing software!
(I did happen to check the activity Monitor w/in Utilities and it showed GB4 using about 60-67% of the CPU on a G4 733 ..... I'm assuming this is normal).

Not sure if there's a correct order to opening these apps as there has been in former versions of iLife ..... however, this (as shown above) is the order in which I opened all apps, and all worked well.

  • What are the ideal system requirements for Adobe Captivate?*

What are the ideal system requirements for Adobe Captivate?* In order to ensure it runs at a good speed.

I don't know about ideal, but I'm using an Intel Core2 Duo, 3.16ghz, 3.46gb ram, winXP Pro SP3.  This is an HP branded PC, it uses the onboard Q45 video.
I rarely have any problems that I haven't caused myself (having too many applications open while I work).
    hope that helps.

I guess you are trying to download from Adobe web site.  if you are using Mac OS X 10.6.8 or WIndows Vista/XP .
Install Adobe Application Manager and update and Sign in.
It will auto detect the version of Illustrator which is compatible with your computer and list the same .
Then you can go ahead and install the same .
You may download Adobe application manager using below link :

    Mac :
