I've been using ODP.NET for my .NET projects and I've really been looking forward to the release of this software. Everyone here in the forums seems to be saying that the production release requires Oracle 8.1.7 or higher. However, it's not until you actually try downloading the tool that I see that one of the requirements is...

How to rollback Archlinux system to a previous version?[solved]

I want to rollback my system to previous version.Is there a safe way to do that without the risk of loosing data.Downgrading all packages manually is not possible.

Thanks for the quick response.My problem is a bit complicated.I had 3.17.x and 3.10.44-lts kernels. My HP laptop was booting normally with 3.10.44-lts that i downgraded from 3.14-x-lts to 3.10.44-lts.There was a problem with the discreet ATI-Radeon GPU (BGA chip) only 3.10.x-lts would boot.I kept on downgrading my lts kernel to 3.10.44-lts after every routine update and reached 3.17.x kernel.yesterday I upgraded to 3.18.x and then again downgraded my lts kernel to 3.10.44-1-lts.But now it won't boot. I get blackscreen
and everything freezes.Maybe the new kernel or some new patch is trying to switch dynamically.I don't know what has changed that is not letting my laptop to boot with 3.10.44-lts since 3.17.x.I used vgaswticheroo to disable discreet ATI GPU and booted the 3.10.44-1-lts.I have ATI GPU and Intel integrated GPU.Linux doesn't use dynamic switching
so the ATI gpu was off all the time. Any help will be appreciated.

There are still retail packs of LR 4 to be found out there - for example, on EBay. It's just important to be careful whether it's a full version, an upgrade, or a student + teacher version. And to be certain it's genuine, and has a serial number which has never been activated before. The serial number that you get with that, should work with any 4.x version of LR, on either MacOS or Windows. And it will almost certainly be heavily discounted compared with the previous price direct from Adobe.
Of course the other way is to upgrade to Windows 7 SP1, which should also be available discounted, and thus eke out the life of an older PC (I personally would not go to Win8 in such a case). Maybe pick up some RAM also, if that's a problem, provided you can do so cheaply (since that will be simply thrown away in due course, when you get a newer PC),
Using LR4 instead of LR5 you do miss out on a few nice features, as well as potentially the Raw support and lens profiles for more recent camera equipment.
LR 4 is obsolete as far as Adobe is concerned. They will not sell a Serial Number for it.

Hi, you need to either get the 10.6 Install Disc, which I recommend, or buy the Flash drive version of Lion & erase everything to inststall.

It's reported that if you have a MobileMe account that Apple will send you SL/10.6 for free.
If it's a core Duo & not a Core2Duo, then it'll only run in 32 bit mode.

How do I download the previous version of Firefox (3) as my system won't support Firefox 4 (can't find the older versions archives anywhere on your site).

I already had Firefox version 2 on my mac (OS 10.4) and tried to upgrade to version 4. Couldn't find any details on system requirements, so just went ahead and tried to download latest version. By the time the process informed me that it wouldn't work on my system, the old version 2 had somehow been deleted. Now I have no Firefox browser at all and cannot find any older versions archived.

I just read today about a separately maintained, unofficial version of Firefox for 10.4 users called TenFourFox. They are somehow repackaging the latest Firefox to work on 10.4 (''on non-Intel Macs''). Mounting previous versions of system image VHDs

Two quick questions about mounting VHD image files. I have been using Windows 7 Backup on Win7 Ultimate x64 (RTM) to create weekly system images of several disk partitions (Boot, System, Data). Windows 7 Backup creates a set of Virtual Hard Disk files in .vhd format as its output. These vhd files can then be mounted using the Attach VHD feature of Windows Disk Management, and then their contents can be accessed in Windows Explorer. Windows Backup creates incremental images with the previous versions (changed sectors) being stored in VSS shadow copy storage, and the most recent version of the image in the vhd file.
1. My first question concerns access to the earlier incremental images in the backup set. If I boot the PC to Windows 7 Recovery Environment, any of the incremental image files are available for restoration. But when mounting (attaching) a VHD file from the backup set via Disk Management, only the latest version of the image is available to mount. Is there any way to mount one of the previous incremental versions?
2. My second question is about mounting a vhd file as read-only. The vhd file of the Data partition will mount either as read/write or as read-only. But the vhd files of the Boot or System partitions can only be mounted as read/write. If mounted as read-only, these volumes display as Not Initialized and are unreadable. Why?

In case somebody is still looking for an answer to question 1 (like me), I want to share my solution:
Login as Administrator
Login as user with administrator rights is not sufficient. If the administrator account is disabled, activate it first (cmd: net user Administrator /active)
In Explorer navigate to WindowsImageBackup on your backup drive. Right Click on Properties, Tab previous versions. Select the version you want to access and then click the Open button.
Now Windows Explorer opens the selected version as a network connection („localhost“). Navigate from WindowsImageBackup down to <Your computer name> \ Backup<Date>\ and select the .vhd file in this directory.
You can open the .vhd file with 7zip now.
You cannot open it as a virtual disk like normal .vhd files. I guess you can copy the selected version to another place and mount it as virtual disk, but i didn't test it.
Don’t forget to deactivate the Administrator account after you logged off from Administrator (cmd: net user Administrator /active:no )

Buy the Snow Leopard retail installer (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDAzOA).
That will take you to 10.6.3.
If required you can then use the combo updater to get to the latest version, 10.6.8 (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399)

My operating system doesn't support Firefox 4.0, why don't you post system requirements when sending out new versions? Or don't you care about those of us that can't afford new technologies?

I was prompted to download Firefox 4.0 and when I did and tried to open it I got an error message saying "You cannot open this application "Firefox" beacause it is not supported on this system. I have an older version of Mac OS X, 10.4.11, so I'm guessing that is the problem. Please direct me to where I can download an older version of Firefox that my system can support and next time please include system requirements with your update prompts.

Thank you for posting that link the-edmiester. I have already re-downloaded firefox 3.6.16 but will give tenfourfox a try. However, not to point the finger at you edmiester, my original question has still not been answered. Is it too much to ask for system requirements when I am prompted to download a new version of Firefox? I realize my computer is out of date and the longer I have it the less I'll be able to use it in this brave new internet world and I don't expect Mozilla to continually pander to me and others like me by keeping there web browsers compatible with older machines but I am fine with using older versions of Firefox. 3.6 works fine and when I saw that there was an update I thought "cool a newer version that would logically work better and faster than the one I was using" but that was clearly not the case. Like Redbeard I was forced to find an older version, re-download and re-install. Luckily I still had Safari, I shutter to think what would have happened if I had deleted it. As well, like Redbeard, this totally undermines my confidence in Firefox and I would hope that Mozilla cares enough about their users, you know the ones that create the need for their jobs, to at least address things like this in a timely respectful fashion.

The first time I attempted to install ML was on a late 2011 MBP. It ran for three minutes then gave me the error message: Could not install OSX due to an unexpected error. I was using the original ML install app, not a USB or other drive.
After a couple of restarts wiht the same result I saw a message to the effect that the install was trying to close open apps. I closed apps manually a few times to no avail. I shut down instead of restarting then booted into Safe mode (hold down the shift key when starting) and that did it. The install went smoothly after that.
I since installed ML in two iMacs using a cloned copy of the install app on a USB drive. This time I shut down the computers and booted into Safe Mode first and there were no problems.
I don't know if this issue is the one causing you these problems but it is a simple enough solution to try.
