System restarting by its self?????

temps are no-load 38 degrees - high load 45 degrees un the lcd display
the problem im having is that for an unknown reason the system restarts by its self at the wierdest times , it is unaffected by cpu load or drive activity , it usually only happens when internet explorer is running , there is no "system shutting down" warning , you would swear that i have hit the reset button its that quick , this is getting to be extremly frustrating as i have tried everything i know to trace the source of the prob with no sucess

just got xp running , installed sp2 and updated , runs alot better , cpu usage is alot lower and memory usage is consistently below 30% , but the sblive software i have got wont run , have tried running in 98-me compatibility mode and still no joy , oh well !! , i am using an adsl broadband external modem through the lan port , letting windows autodetect it
with the sata drives , will the mobo detect them as the primary drives or are they user selectable in the bios?? , i would like to run the sata drive i have just got (samsung 120g) as the primary and the 80g ata as a backup drive , is this advisable?? what do you guys think??

Thank`s...Memory could definitely play a part in a sudden shutdown and powerup - Another possibility is heat - Computers have a built in safety feature that will automatically shut it down when a certain heat limit is reached -
1. Make sure the fan is running -
Recommendations - If fan is not running then the computer will heat up quickly and shutdown - need to have notebook serviced by authorized service provider
2. Make sure the fan is not dusty and/or dirty -
Recommendations - Use canned or compressed air to clean out dusty-dirty fan area -
Just a few other things that might shed light on the possibile solution.

My 1 year old -- ha! one month out of warranty -- iPhone 4 has been having a nearly identical problem over the past few days.
It started by dying completely so I had the battery replaced, thinking it was simply battery issue.
It then worked again for a moment but started doing exactly what you describe, going through a reset cycle (longer than 30 seconds but who's counting). And it felt quite warm.
Did hard reset, plugged into wall charger and MBP USB but the new battery wouldn't even get a full charge (a whopping 92% after nearly two days). It would even lose battery when plugged in if I opened an app. And all the while plugged in, if I left the phone on, it would cycle through these resets. So I turned it off to try to charge it.
Now suddenly, it's dead again. Totally black, and hard reset does nothing. Up until two days ago there was nothing wrong whatsoever with this phone! And I hadn't even installed a new app that could be the root of the issue. No idea whatsoever what caused this.
Any help would be much appreciated!! -

There a couple of different things to try in this situation. The first things you should try doing is using a different USB cable as well as plugging it into different USB ports to see if that makes a difference. If there are other devices plugged into other USB ports, try disconnecting them all and plugging just your Nano in. There could be some sort of USB conflict going on.
Also, double check to make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes and that your XP Machine has all the latest updates and patches from Microsoft.
If all that has been ruled out and the problem persists (which it likely will), the next step will be to make sure computer's BIOS is up to date as well as its drivers for your iPod. Here is more help on troubleshooting iPod driver issues.

As from Friday 24th June 2011 when I purchased my iPhone 4 it Won't Charge, stays in the red & go above 5% even after 2-3+ days no difference charging plus I tried x4 different Apple charges but it made no difference at all to the problems with the iPhone 4.

I leave iPhone 4 to completely dis charge where it won't start at all & then recharge it where charge holds for a couple of hours but then only to turn itself off when the power meter is reading 64% but won't restart after pressing power button.

So I pug the iPhone 4 back on its charger for a couple of hours but it still reads only 1% battery power so I do another by holding the power & home button for 25 seconds as I'm told via online forum up to which the battery meter reads 96% as to will not charge no higher than 93-96% but again the seconds later the iPhone 4 again starts keeping restarting it's self every 30 seconds nonstop all over again.

Computer is REBOOTING its self several times a day.

hello I have imac (27-inch mid 2011) 3.1ghz intel core i5 1tb serial ata hard drive, amd radeon hd 6970m
my problem is
imac works fine in safe mode,
but when you try to startup normal it's connstantly restart by it self.in safe mode works perfectly,soon as I try to boot in normal mode it's keep restarting.on screen I don't see any line vertical or horizontal picture look normal on safe mode.but unable to start normal it just restarting over and over.I try another HDD but same things happen,I replace memory but still same.works ok in safe mode but not in normal mode.I will try to post system error report.

Hey all, perhaps this isn't the right place in the forums, but I just don't know where else to go. My computer just in the past 24hours has been restarting on its own saying 'Your computer was restarted because of problems' or something along those lines. From what I've gathered online this may indicate a kernal panic, but I just don't understand on those other sites how you go about solving this problem or even what it means fully. Is there something I can do on my own, or do I have to bring it into the mac store? Please help me if you can, I am not very tech savvy but I will try to do my best to save my mac. It is a new macbook pro retina display and I just don't understand what could have happend. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -

Macbook Pro getting restarted of its own....
Dear Apple Support Team,
I have a Macbook Pro (2009) running on Mountain Lion OS X. For last few days the Mac I am facing 4 issues with my Mac:
1. Battery is draining is sleep mode. The system information shows battery is NORMAL.
2. Bluetooth sign in Menu bar keeps on toggles between 'Bluetooth Available" and "Bluetooth not Available'
3. Fan issue very strange. If Mac is on wodden table, fan is normal. If I touch bottom of Mac, the Fan starts ..Any clue?
4. Mac is getting restarted of it own. Could you please guide me how to resolve it? Below is the error report

I tired as you suggested. The battery is not draning anymore but still the mac restarts on its own and also it doesnt go in sleep mode if i click of 'sleep' icon on Apple Tab.

i have I 4S 64 - worked fine not when i take a picture it flashes to camera roll then removes its self - cant find it any where -
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPhone shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off" -
