System restore has re-enabled itself from when a member of a previous domain

hello all,
One of my companies domain computers was migrated from a legacy domain to a new one.
On the new domain system restore is DISABLED, on the previous legacy domain system restore was ENABLED.
A windows update has somehow kicked of system restore from when the computer was on the legacy domain and moved it back in time around 8 months!
Any ideas how this happened, and how I can remove any system restore historical information which must be hidden somewhere?

Hi,
I suggest you re-check the GPOs applied to the domain computers, run RSOP and gpresult /r , check Computer Configuration\Policy\Administrative Templates\System\System Restore, turn off system restore and its configuration.

T61 Rescue and Recovery - system restore has no restore points

Hello
I just got a T61 with Vista basic, I made some restore points in Vista but in ThinkVantage, system restore there is no restore points in the "Main hard disk" area.
I also have updated using ThinkVantage system update, all the crucial items.
Is there any way to solve this?

still having the issue, I also cannot create a recovery media using ThinkVantage "Create Recovery Media" option, I have no selections in my "Target Drive" area.
any ideas why?

HT4623 How to re download iOS 7 for my iphone 5c, I think my back and system restore has a virus, I want a new version to download, I know it has something to do with recovery mode.

I did a restore from back, a restore to new phone and a recovery mode restore, now I want to download the iOS 7.0.4 again, I called apple and they wont walk me through this to re download it, they did a few month back when I was working on my bother phone, his battery kept going dead and after the download it was all good, now my battery is dying much faster and I would like to have a new slate of the OS re downloaded, how do I do this, I know it has something to do the recovery mode.

All you have to do is restore the device to factory settings. Once the device is in recovery mode, and connected to itunes via USB Itunes will show a message" iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode, click ok to restore now" Then click ok and it will restore the phone to factory settings, with a fresh copy of iOS7.0.4. Just make sure your iTunes is up to date before trying to restore.

System privileges do not enable extraction from source

I'm new to OWB, Also for this I granted select on source to target.
I'm using OWB10g/Oracle on Windows xp on same m/c(Local Host), I created mapping source tables emp/dept (look up on dept) and taget to dept_emp.
When I valaidate gives validation compled successfully, When I go to deployment manager, It gives System privileges (I granted select privilges using SQLPLUS), When I tried to deploy it gives another error Runtime owned by different platform.
What is the error, Pl help.

My iPad Mini has stopped turning itself off when the cover closes.

Is there a setting for this that I have overlooked?

If the cover you bought is not a legitimate apple cover than you may be having the same issue I had.
The one I purchased has a top cover swivel, if you spin it around( meaning the top case cover)
The magnet will return to the correct spot and it will work again. It is only located at one end of the case.

Hi Hovhannes,
Windows server 2012 R2 does not have the same windows restore feature as a client OS. You would need to run daily backup of the OS then you would be able to use a version of the system recovery.

Windows Server does also have language packs that you can download depending on the version of the server OS you are looking for and language your require. These can be downloaded from the MSDN site.

System restore problems

This morning .. . .went to computer woke it up fine
then error messages in the bottom left hand corner saying that this file and that file were corrupted - this was the yellow trianage message.
Then that the "all users file" in documents and settings was corrupt.
So did a system restore to one day last week - when i knew all was well. This was successful but when the thing started again lots of software files were missing, internet dial up connection, and the all programs menu was one fifth the size it was before - lots of things gone like under:
all programs
accessories
system tools - gone
I then tried to reserve the system restore and this did not work - reported that it had failed. So tried to do a system restore as I left to yesterday. Otherwise what do i do?
The file with all your software is still on there but it's reinstalling the dial up connection etc.

As far as I know the system restore tool roll back the OS to the early point and all the files.
If you have installed files or have changed some settings after the restore point, all this things will be removed after using the system restore tool.
A similar issue was happened to me. I have saved a lot of files on second partition and after using the system restore tool all these files and data which was created after restore point was removed.
There is nothing to do
If you use the tool from time to time you should create more restore points.

If you want to create an image of the entire disk, then `dd' is an option. But you can also use ufsdump to create an image of a filesystem running on that disk, but you need to do that for every filesystem on the disk and please keep a copy of you vtoc for the future if you need to restore everything.
On the other hand you make me thing about someone who wants to clone machines and then a Flash Archive can also be an option. Please keep in mind to ask the question in the future instead of conformation of your answer ;-)

while executing some of our remote function module we encountered some locking error.. the message returned by SAP is :
A system error has occurred while locking
from message class : M3 #021
the remote function module is running bapi_goodsmvt_create in background..
the question is.. why this error occured and how to solve it ? and what is the root cause.. ?
because the error is only happened once (until now) we cannot simulate to get the error again.. so it is hard to find out the root cause..

Hi,
I am also having the same problem. I am running the BAPI_MATPHYSINV_CHANGECOUNT' to count the Articles.
When I print the error on screen, some the data shown as counted. Some are not changed and some with the following error.
System error while locking the data
Furthermore I went to the BASIS and saw that when we run this particular program its showing the locks on MARC and several tables with the same System ID from which we run the program
Can anyone come up ? Its getting too hard to resolve.

Cant find dates for system restore

I have been getting unexpected shutdowns on my 835-P360. It goes to a blue screen and reboots to my Toshiba
start-up screen.
I have received a few different messages, but most recently:
API MS WIN-Service-Core-L1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer
I have somewhat limited computer knowledge, but I have done a system restore on my other computers. When I went to do that on this one, I do not have any dates to pick from. I bought it in June, but I don't get a calendar to select restore points. All I can do is create my own and it only ends up taking me back a few hours.
I want to go back at least 3-4 weeks, before the problem started. I really want to avoid having to move all my files and do a complete restore to original settings.
Any ideas how to go back a few weeks?

It sounds like for some reason no System Restore points were created at that time on your computer. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about that now.

System will not restart or fire up when off for a few minutes.

I am running windows XP with the latest updates, my system also has the latest drivers but when I go to restart, the screen locks on the core cell logo as it boots up, it also does this if I shut down and then try to start the computer up again within a minute of shutting down.
It needs about 5 minutes off time before it will restart.
My temps are 53c for the processor and 39c for the mobo while surfing.

Try another PSU.
Sounds like there might be a problem with it discharging and the power good signal to the board. So borrow one (another mode completely since it doesn't sound deffective - simply incompatible with the board).

I just did two System Restores (and clicked something that asked me about "[something -exe]," and now Firefox won't open at all.

I hope someone can help. My husband did something to update Firefox (or Firefox just automatically updated today, I don't know which), but I didn't like the new toolbar much, so I did a System Restore to get back the old one. That didn't work, so I then did another System Restore for an earlier day, but when I restarted the computer, Firefox wouldn't open at all.
A pop-up asked me something about "allowing 'something-.exe' at start-up," with options like "Remember this action, don't allow, and allow," I think, and I don't remember what I clicked, and that's likely part of the problem, but in any case, I can't get Firefox to start now. That's what happened to me too after I upgraded to firefox 4 and it wouldn't connect to my internet. Now I'm stuck with Internet Explorer with none of my important personal information like my favorites.

NOt an iPhoto issue - either a bad CD or a bad Superdrive on your computer - no way for us to tell try the CD in a different computer

When you log into you icloud account on your computer you are viewing data that you sync to icloud not the backups. You can't view the backups.
