1. Rfc connection : Temporarily you can give some garbage vale in user-id and password in "Logon and Security" in SM59 to make it not workable.
2. Port settings : In We21, if Rfc connection itself is not working then corresponding port which is making use of this rfc, will also not work.
3. Batch jobs : To completely deactivate a job from running , select the next job occurrence by searching its released status and then go to the tab Job> Released to Scheduled. This will stop the job from running again. However to terminate an active job, go to SM66 , Edit>Process-->restart after
error>yes and then Process>cancel-->with core.

System restore - how to disable communication ?

Hi,
i would like to get some information on "how to disable the communication between "SAP and SAP" and "SAP to nonSAP" System in case of a system restore.
my requirements:
- i need to disable SM59 RFC destination / Ports / Gateway
- i need to disable webservice communication (SICF / LPCONFIG / etc)
Is there a global switch do close the communication ?
- Is it useful to set the (Batchjob-Profile = 0) that no BatchJob could be started ?
- Is it useful to lock all users ? (except admin users)
What about the event triggered IDocs. I think there is no Batchjob running ?
How do you solve this in your company in case of a system restore and the communication must be closed ?

PDF export, lost when i did a system restore, how do I go about reloading from ADOBE website?

I paid for program and downloaded 3 months ago from adobe website. I have a PC not Mac. I had to do system restore and it erased the program. How do I go about downloading the program I aid for again?

There is no program to erase or reinstall. Unless you removed Adobe Reader, in which case go to http://get.adobe.com/reader (be sure to turn OFF the free useless offers).
If you have Adobe Reader, just be sure you sign in.

You don't.
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases.
The iphone is not a backup device.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Certainly you did not restore your system without making sure that your backup copy was up to date.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good) then you can transfer itunes purchases from the iphone. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases

HT4528 My iPhone 4s would not sync - it kept canceling. I backed it up and did a full system restore. Now it won't restore my apps. It starts on 1 of 51 and then tells me it's canceling sync and it stops. My apps are all black. How do I fix this?

My iPhone 4S kept canceling while syncing. In the Apple support communities, it was recommended that I do a full system restore. I backed the phone up and did the restore. Now it won't finish the restore process. It gets to where it will restore the apps and it says "copying 1 of 51", and then it cancels the sync. I have no apps on the phone - they are all black and they say "waiting". How do I get the apps reloaded on the phone? Do I have to delete them all and redownload them? I'm not even sure that will work. Do I go to Verizon and ask if they can fix it? Any suggestions?

Time Machine is one such program, although it is a recursive backup program which offers limited archive capability, based on the capacity of the backup destination, and it requires you set it up before you start editing your files. Some programs are also Versions aware, which offers a kind of restore capability by file. Again needs to be setup before you start editing.

Firefox 4.0 cannot find the Yahoo mail URL. Working with the Verizon tech we were able to get Internet Explorer to finaly find the yahoo mail web site. But not luck with Firefox 4.0 .

Can you launch a new window (Ctrl+n for a normal window, Ctrl+Shift+p for a private window) that has the usual complement of toolbars? If a new window also is missing bars, try using the View menu > Toolbars list to restore them. If the classic menu bar is not displayed, usually tapping the Alt key or the F10 key will show it temporarily.

what you can do is back up your phone to your computer before doing the update, just as a precaution.

How do I get application manager to install products after a system restore removed them?

I had some issues starting the computer and had to use system restore to get it runnng.
But that meant that all the applications I installed using creative cloud were gone.
When I started the Application Manger, It read that all the applications that I had installed were still installed.
I don't know how to reset anything to reinstall what I lost. As you can see I says the installed programs are up to date. But they are not on the hard drive.

i did a Forum search upon AAM issues and came here.
My system and all installed CS6 Applications are running smoothly, just AAM shows some odd behaviour
Most needed applications are installed, but under the "All" Tab, AAM shows "install" on the right, see my screenshot below.
Contrary to that what is seen on the screenshot up there from user "Bar".
under "Updates" it shows all up to date (see screenshot below)
This way, I'm cannot be sure if AAM works correctly or not.
So i have followed your suggested advice and cleaned everythig up, downloaded and installed everything again, ugh!, but problem still persitis.
Usually it should show up which Applications are alredy installed, respectively are up to date and which application are still not installed.
Is there a known issue with AAM?

My app tabs disappeared when opening my browser. How do I get them back, without doing a system restore to yesterday?

When I opened firefox as my browser, I accidentally clicked on it twice, it opened two sessions. I closed one session, but, as it turns out I closed the session that had all of my app tabs, leaving the page that had none of my app tabs.
Now, I cannot get my app tabs back.
I tried doing a session restore to the previous session and that didn't help.
How can I get the correct session, with my app tabs in place, without doing a) a system restore point on the whole computer or b) restarting the computer?

On your iPod Touch, open the iTunes app. There should be tab named "purchased", which shows all your purchase history. Choose the "Not on this iPod" tab and you'll get a list of purchased products that are not on your device. Hope this helped.

Thanks, but since iTunes will not boot, I cannot run that iTunes diagnostic. Just need to know how to reinstall iTunes (Windows XP). Do I need to remove the existing non working version of iTunes, or can I just install iTunes from Apple like I was a new user?

If the iPhoto application is no longer on your hard drive (do a search to be sure it didn't just get moved to an unexpected place), there's no way to get it back without either backups or a copy of iPhoto. Your original disks that shipped with the machine would have iPhoto. If you have lost those disks and don't have backups, you'll simply have to buy a copy of iLife. Or call Apple with your machine's serial number in-hand and request replacement disks, which they will send you for a small fee.
