System review assistance please

I have sought to sift through the very helpful postings in this forum in developing the basis of a dedicated workstation and now need just a little further clarification and advice before I have the system built by others. I will be using the Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection.
I create medical interview videos for publication on the Internet, mostly of 20-30 minutes in length. Some are as long as 75 minutes I shoot in AVCHD with a Panasonic AG-HMC150. My work typically has four or fewer video layers and two or three audio layers.
My understanding of the various postings leads me to believe that the following would work for me now and yet be a system that could be upgraded/expanded as may be needed in the future should my projects become more complex. The costs shown are for parts from NewEgg.

In spite of numerous reading of the various postings on storage and RAID I am much less clear as to the most appropriate storage to set up. I have been unable to get a clear understanding of whether or not I even need a RAID setup let alone how to determine which RAID controller best suits my needs.
I THINK that the following is appropriate. But would really appreciate comments on whether my storage inclination is reasonable and economical considering my current editing needs or whether I might be better off delaying the installation of a RAID system

Again, is there anything shown which is unnecessary or overkill for which something less expensive might be substituted. Is anything missing? What changes, if any, are suggested? I have not yet choosen a builder and am very open to recommendations in this area as well.
Finally, very special thanks, most notably to Harm, to the active posters in this forum for the invaluable insights and assistance offered in your postings and responses.

I edit AVCHD on a similar system... with NO raid and 3 hard drives (320Gig+320Gig+1Terabyte) and have not noticed any slowness or "stumbles" with the video

I have read in other messages that the GTX 470 will be "officially" supported soon, but the GTX 480 will NOT

I would have used an array of round color boxes and clusters of switches (and filter events to allow the overridden conditions to be expelled you are missing some functiality there)

However, I missed to mention that we have two set of users One is for Finished Goods and another for Spares.
Only Spares users need to be prevented from creating Direct/Manual Sales Orders in Oracle.
As you suggested, if this will be done at Form level, that may Disallow FG users also to create Manula Sales Orders which should not be the case.
Further, I tried to test one scenario through Processing Constraints but it did not work.

I installed ORACLE XE + TOMCAT 7 + ORACLE XE on windows XP.
All seems to work under debug session but on normal session I found the following message only when I put a specific parameter on my query.
The same query with the same parameter runs in the sqldev client whitout errors

Hi Paolo,
which APEX version do you use?
There are only a few reasons that might lead to the behaviour you describe. These are
- configured header size for Tomcat Connector is too small
- configured character encoding for Tomcat Connector doesn't fit for APEX (you need UTF-8)
- you don't have the required version of OWA_UTIL in your XE if you upgraded to a more recent APEX release (e.g. APEX 4.0)
Have you configured the Tomcat's HTTP Connector to use the appropriate header size and character encoding?
(see {thread:id=2174509})
If you've upgraded your XEs APEX, e.g. to 4.0, you also have to update the OWA_UTIL in your XE. APEX versions from 3.0 onwards require at least 10.1.2.0.6, which is the version provided in the installation package. You may just update to that version by changing to the subdirectory owa of your APEX installation package and running
@owainst.sqlas sys (just like in the steps before).
You can check if you have the appropriate version of OWA_UTIL installed by running
select owa_util.get_version from dual;In addition you may also want to check if you performed all steps of this small [url http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/upgrade-apex-for-xe-154969.html]HowTo for the upgrade of APEX in XE databases.

System Migration Assistent - Migrating Vista-- Windows 7

When I receive Windows 7, can the ThinkVantage System Migration Assistant move current Vista settings to Windows 7 or does the utility only work within the same OS?

I'm a newbit to OCS and have been trying to installl OCS 10.1.2 on Red Hat ES4 on a HP DL385 box - 6 GB and got stuck at the Calendar Application System Configuration Assistant part.

I've found a solution to this problem. So far I've been trying the installation through MSTSC by taking administrative control (through /console option). Later, I tried my luck by installing it through Net Meeting which proved to be successful.
Hope you can try the same and ged rid of the installation issues.

"System Unavailable. Please try again later." error on import. Why?

Hi guys,
I've exported an application on a workspace. As I tried to import it on another workspace (but on the same server), I got this error while installing the app:
"System Unavailable. Please try again later."
Can someone please tell me if they encountered the same issue? Maybe, also where to find a log file, or if this might happen due to a small mem_cache/cache parameter in the SQL ini file or something in apache?

Resolution:
This was a tough one. I referred many posts related to c3p0 in the spring / hibernate community, but none of the options resolved this in my environment. I even changed the app server to Glassfish 2.1 from Apache Tomcat, but to no avail.
Upon some experimenting with the MySQL database instance created by the default script (bundled with Sun RoleManager), I found that the userID used to connect to the DB did not have privileges to perform any operation. I gave permissions to the default DB user id and the error got resolved.
# mysql -u root --password
<Enter the pwd for DB's root user>
mysql> use mysql;
mysql> desc user;
mysql> select *** from user where user='rbacxservice';
The results of the above command showed that the user 'rbacxservice' did not have any privileges even to select rows. I granted the privileges (using the commands given below). For some reason, three instances of the user were available in the DB. I granted privileges for this user in all the three instances.
mysql> GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON ***.*** TO 'rbacxservice'@'%';
mysql> GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON ***.*** TO 'rbacxservice'@'localhost';
mysql> GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON ***.*** TO 'rbacxservice'@'myserver';

I have previously used SMA to migrate settings to new lenovo laptops, it it still available and if so where can i find it? I have to migrate some users to new lenovo thinkpad Edge Win 7 machines.

Looks like the support website hasn't been totally cleaned up and still has an old version. I don't recommend using it.

System Migration Assistant select a profile

I am using the ThinkVantage System Migration Assistant 6.0 to migrate my data from my old lenovo laptop to a new lenovo laptop. On the Current Laptop (Laptop being used) I am able to select what profile I want to transfer. However on the Target Laptop (New Laptop) I am not able to select what profile to transfer the data to. Is there anyway to select what profile I can transfer the data to on the new laptop?
