System Setting for Package Check

Hi
How can the global 'package check' switch be activated or deactivated? Where is this customizing done? Is it possible to set the Package Check attribute specific to a package? How could this be done?

Hi Karun
If I set visible elements thro' package interface or if I specify use access for a user package, this will have effect only if the Package check is activated. For eg., even if I have specified the Error Severity as error in Use access for a provider package, SLIN does not show me an error even if I have used the visible elements of this package. This would happen only if the package check setting is active. I am not sure where this could be done.

Select SPRO --> Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Vendor Evaluation. Select following criteria -
1) Define Weighing keys - Here define weighing keys in addition to 01- Equal Weighing & 02- Unequal Weighing (if required)
2) Define Criteria - Here 5 standard criteria are maintained. Maintain additional criteria if required. Also maintain sub-criteria. Each main criteria contains some standard subcriteria. If required you may maintain additional subcriteria upto 20 per main criteria.
3) Define Scope List - Here you may maintain how the evaluated vendors should be ranked.
4) Define Purchase Organization Data for Vendor Evaluation - Here you may maintain main criteria & sub-criteria for your purchasing organisation. Also maintain score for equal & unequal weighing. Maintain point score for automatic criteria for each percentage vainance

Is there any setting for update statement related to implicit commit because Update statement in my code behaves differently in different systems.

It isn't an alternative way: u can only explicit the COMMIT just as I said before:
Update DBTAB set COL.
COMMIT WORK.
Anyway just I said before the debugger can execute a COMMIT, from SAP help:
The New Debugger can run in exclusive and non-exclusive mode. Exclusive mode means that the application that is being analyzed exclusively occupies a work process of the application server during debugging. In non-exclusive mode, the Debugger functions are limited. In non-exclusive mode, after each Debugger interaction, the system requests a roll-out in the application. Therefore, an implicit database commit must be executed. This has the following consequences:
u25CF      Debugging is not possible between the statements SELECTand ENDSELECTbecause the database cursor needs to be closed when using an implicit database COMMIT statement.
In this case, program execution is terminated.
·        Debugging is not possible for conversion or field exits.
·        Due to the implicit database commit, inconsistent datasets can occur in the database.
For this reason, non-exclusive mode is not possible in productive systems.

Where to System setting for Back-up (Tribe)

Hey Tribe
Do I just copy the system preferences app. as a back-up? If not where do I find the system settings for copy as this is the biggest B** about having to set every thing back up after a system restore.

Maybe someone with more knowledge than me in "restoring" the settings if needed might chime in and help you.
I have an external cloned disk and also use Backup from .mac.
Now, I would burn more than the Preference folder. I would burn the whole Library so you can have all your settings, mail accounts, KeyChain (passwords for sites, etc)

What's the best Preferred Execution System setting for parallel testing run from TestStand

I configured what vi's I think need to be reentrant, but I am not sure what choice for "Preferred Execution System" is best for the vi's in my TestStand sequence that's going to run in parallel. Can anyone advise?

This option should not matter unless you have a LabVIEW VI with parallel code blocks. If this is the case, you can set your VI to Other 1 or Other 2. Please take a look at this knowledgebase for further explanation.

No setting for autodelivery checking for email

i noticed on the video for iPhone that it says you can set the amount of time or frequency of when you email will be checked. well, I have no such option and it is clearly in the video and in the Q & A. how can that be? I went to setting/mail and there was no such option. please help.

If you have a POP email account configured on the iPhone it will be in: Settings, Mail, and then right under the list of mail accounts.
Yahoo for example uses push, and notifies the iPhone when new messages are available.

Mail set for manual checking but checks automatically

I am getting very annoyed with Mail since 'upgrading' to Lion and iCloud back in February
I have Mail General Preferences set to "Check for new messages manually", yet it checks my .Mac address automatically.
I have all my email accounts unticked for including "when automatically checking for new mail", yet it checks just my .Mac address automatically. This points to the problem being something to do with iCloud rather than with the new version of Mail that comes with Lion.
Not so annoying when I have the sound switched off but very annoying when I have the speakers on and it interrupts what I'm listning to. Sometimes it even makes the noise when there doesn't appear to be any new email.
Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, have you found a way to stop it?

Creation of BC set for ECATT

Hello,
I have created a ECATT for master data uploading. This created a request number. Now when I am trying to create a BC set using tcode SCPR3 and attaching the above created request it is giving me the following error:-
Message Number: S_CUS_IMG_ACTIVITY230
Diagnosis
Logical object ECAT is a lockable (TADIR-mandatory) object.
System Response
Lockable objects cannot be included in BC sets because, during the activation process, an entry would have to be written in the catalog of repository objects (table TADIR). However, this is not possible with BC sets.
Procedure
The object cannot be used in BC sets.
Kindly guide me as to how do i resolve this error and attach my Ecatt request in the BC set.

Procedure
Aassign existing preconfiguration, transactions or rReports
1.      Go to the structure element to which you want to assign preconfiguration, in the project structure.
2.      Choose BC Set, CATT, eCATT Test Configuration, Transaction, Program or Add-On Transport Request, in the Type column.
3.      If it is not a process step, enter a component from the possible entries help in the Component field.
4.      Make an entry in the Object column, or choose from the possible entries help for the Object field.
5.      Save your entries.
Assign IMG objects
1.      Go to the structure element in the reference structure to which you want to assign an IMG object.
2.      Choose IMG Object in the Type field.
3.      If it is not a process step, enter a component from the possible entries help in the Component field.
4.      Call the possible entries help for the Object field. You go to the Implementation Guide (IMG) of the selected component system.
5.      Choose one or more IMG object nodes and choose Select.
6.      Choose Copy Selected Nodes.
You have now assigned an IMG object to a structure element.The system goes back to the Configuration tab and fills in the Object and Description columns.
Create and assign preconfiguration
1.      Go to the structure element to which you want to assign preconfiguration, in the project structure.
2.      Choose a Type.
3.      To create a new BC Set, CATT or eCATT test configuration from the Configuration tab, enter a name in the Object field and choose Create.
4.      You go to one of the following transactions, depending on the object type:
     BC Set: BC Set Maintenance
     eCATT Test Configuration: Test Configuration (eCATT tool)
     CATT: Change test case.
5.      Enter the data required to create a new BC Set, eCATT test configuration or CATT.

We have set up a new Operating Unit in Oracle Apps. Now when I am trying to create a new Customer in that Operating Unit, I am receiving following error:
ERROR MESSAGE:-Please set the Receivables system options for this operating unit and ensure that the MO: Operating Unit profile option is correctly set with an operating unit that is set up in Receivables.
We do have MO: Operating Unit and MO: Default Operating Unit set properly at Responsibility level for the Responsibility through which I am accessing this form.

Can anybody tell me what is check package in Extended check of webdynpro application.
I am getting below error under package check when doing the extended check .

Hi
When you use an object from another package then you have to add that package name in use access list of your package( available as a tab when you click on package ).
Concept is something like this-
You create objects in your package and expose them for use in another package by creating package interfaces
Other package who are using these objects will add these interfaces in their package use access list.
For your problem you need to add the relevant intrerface ( SWDP_RUNTIME_EXCEPTIONS) in your package ZAA use access list.

You could also try using an admin file that should answer those questions for you

are not flaged for unicode checks and there for have syntax errors. I now how to mark
this flag for a single program but how can I do it to all programs?

In general, transaction UCCHECK is designed to cover all Unicode adaptations needed. The guide called
u201CRequirements of ABAP Programs in Unicode Systemsu201D, which can be found via:

gives customers a comprehensive description of possible errors. Please also have a look at the docu provided directly in transaction UCCHECK. In addition, SAP notes 1322715 (search for UCCHECK) and 1319517 (point 8.) might be helpful.
Please note that customer programs have to be adapted - simply setting the Unicode flag works only for the objects with a green traffic light in UCCHECK .

Set Up Authorization Check for G/L Accounts into PO creation

Dear friends !
How could I activate check to the access to certain accounts into PO creation ?
I know that is possible to activate this into Purchasing customizing under path
SPRO > Materials management > Purchasing > Purchase order > Set Up Authorization Check for G/L Accounts
But could I use it to give access only to certain GL Accounts by user ? Is this the purpose of this customizing ?
If yes what´s the object should I use to link with user account !?

After you setup the configuration in transaction OMRP, please setup up
the authorisation group in the account code (FS02, the field is on the
"Control", technical name is BEGRU).
When a account assigned purchase order is created, the system checks for
object F_BKPF_BES with values from the BEGRU and activity 01.
