System Status authorisation to be restricted

Hi
Anybody know how i can restrict the authorisation on system status. I know the way by creating the user status and assigning a authorisation key. But i want to know if any way to assign direct control on system status. The exact requirement is that authorisation has to be restricted from assigning system status TECO.

Hi,
In sap you can control system statuses by using of user statuses. Where you can control various business transaction.
SAP does not provide an authorization check for setting system statuses for this refer below link

Hello All,
1. Is it possible for the system to reverse the user status of WBS element if the actual business transaction is reversed. For example, User status 'ABC' is set as Initial status and in OK02 config, it was set that, when the system status is 'ACPT'( will appear when we create an SO and saved), the user status will be changed to XYZ. But subsequently when the WBS element in the Sales order is removed (by changin SO because of wrong postin), is it possible to the initial active status.
Here my ok02 config is like this
stuatus 10 ABC 10 30   1 1
             20 BCD 10 20 1   1
             30 XYZ 30 40 1 1
Here my requirement is once the system sets the status XYZ, the user should not change to BCD. But my above mentioned requirement of reversal will arise when the user wrongly enters the WBS element in the SO.
Any advice is highly appreciated. Could not find proper solution after enough search.

Hi,
In this case you can create the one more user status as 40 EFG 10 40 1 1and restrict this status by authorisation key.
provide this status authorization to responsible person not for all the users. If SO deletes the responsible person changes the status from XYZ to EFG and then to ABC, from here you can follow regular process.Finally the WBSE status remains
as XYZ.

Dear Abhijit,
Try inserting the following Object Manually in the Role (through PFCG) for System Status
PS_RMPSSP
Select the required
Activity
Attribute Group
Attribute
Element Type ID
SRM Status ID
In Status ID
there is a option for Released, Restricted, Closed, Locked, Updated, Deleted.
Maintain these in the roles as per you requirement and test it with multiple test ID's

Why not all fields dimmed or show in display mode after system status TECO and CLSD for Project

Dear All,
When Sets the system status TECO or even CLSD all fields for WBS Elements are not goes to Display mode. User can still edit them or change then.
The fields are:
1. WBS Element Description, technical name: PRPS-POST1
2. Person responsible number, technical name: PRPS-VERNR
Other Progress and Customer enhancement tab pages for WBS Element all fields there also editable in TECO and CLSD system status.
The client do not want to set LOCK system status for master data option.
Is there any enhancement or standard way of doing that?

Dear Saqib,
Its a standard behavior of the system. In CLSD status, transactional data like Procurement gets restricted along with WBSE no and its scheduling details. But it allows to you change like WBSE desc./Responsible person.

For locking all master data, as above experts suggest, you should use MDLK/LKD.

System status CMPL is active

We are using SRM 5.0-Extended classic scenario. The Purchase order which was created and replicated to the backend R/3 system . But now the *status changed to *"Transaction complete " status and if am going to change the PO am getting pop-up message as "System status CMPL is active".
Is any way to change the PO status ? Or any other function module is available , I have tried function module
BBP_PD_PO_STATUS_CHANGE. But am getting the same status.

Allowed Transaction by system status in Process Orders

Hi all:
I have a problem manging the process orders, related to the system status and allowed transaction. The question is: How could I prevent the use of certains transaction (i.e. RFBU FI:Postings) when system status = TECO in one process order where status profile is not assgined (that is t003O-STSMA not filled)?.
At this moment I have a lot of process orders in that status and I want to avoid the posting from FI just if the system status = TECO

As a standard setting, you will not be able to restrict the financial postings when an order is TECO'ed but you may do it through by enhancing user exit/ BADI in the respective transaction...

You can set/unset TECO status in transaction CO02. Ignore any warning message concerning change. Then, Functions>Restrict Processing>'Technically complete' or 'revoke technical completion'. Save

User specific System Status

Dear All,
I want to make System Status i.e. Rel, Teco, Clsd User Specific. Means, a perticular user are only authorised to do it. I know we can do it by controlling the object. Let me know what is the object for system status??

Hi,
Create Authourization Key BS52 say ZREL
Create User status NREL - WBS Not released in OK02 assigne the authourization key.
During authorization the the authorization object B_USERSTAT make corresponding allowance for user.
in PFCG.
Smilarly do for TECO.
User status authourization key is helpful for ur purpose.

Don't post hrs or cost after TECO System Status in Internal Order

We want to don't post cost and hrs after System Status - TECO in Tools - capitalised as Assets.so pls tell me where we can restrict posting in System Status - TECO.

It would not be possible to enter any cost with status TECO. TECO itself mean Technical Complete.
You need to remove the status TECO in order to enter any cost to the Internal Order.

Systeme status complete Errors

Hi every one,
I have created transaction, its having errors. even with errors iam able to change the system status to complete.
I want to restrict in such a way that if errors are present, the user should not be able to change the system status to 'completed'.

hi jeff,
you can validate the status via BADI implementation.
based on my experience, there is 2 BADI that can be used for this validation :
- ORDER_SAVE -> will validate the changes if user save the transaction
- CRM_ORDER_STATUS -> will valiudate the status changed so the status that not pass the validation will be disabled.
in my opinion, the CRM_ORDER_STATUS give a better solution.

System Status display

Hi,
I am facing problem where in the system status for all objects like maintenance order, notifications, equipment is not displayed in status bar. When I click 'i' to see status it displays me the status but not in the status bar.

Hi, Alex, thanks for responding. The users do not receive a no authorization message when they change the editing mode, and yes, they can save any changes. What is interesting is that I started making changes to other authorization objects under "Controlling" and I think I'm getting closer, I've limited users to be able to set the "Lock" status only, so once I find out how to restrict that option, I think I'm golden.

To the best of my knowledge, you can not hide the Icon. But you can restrict the user not to change the status by Authorization key.
For User status:-
Create keys by
SPRO setting
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service >Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>Basic Settings-->Create Authorization Keys for User Status Authorizations
Assign this keys to your user statuses. Basis will use it for user roles.
As the System statuses changed by the business transactions, need to find the authorization object (BASIS) and restrict the user.

Status: A status documents the current processing status
        of the object say Production order.
        When Business transactions are carried out on an
        object the status of the object changes
        accordingly.
System Status:
A system status is set by the system.It informs the user that particular function was carried out on an object.We cannot influence the system status and hence cant be deleted or changed.
User Status:
User status is activated by the user in addition to existing system status.To define a uaser status we need to create a status profile per order type
Using USER STATUS we can restrict the release of Production order if there is Error in cost calculation.
Restrict release in case there is CSER status
1.You need to define a status profile in BS02 ( Ex A1)
2. Assign the status profile to object type PP order header
3. Then click the user status .
4.Enter the user status as CSER.Tick the initial status indicator.
5. Double click the CSER ,then goto create mode.
6. select the business transaction release.
7. Against release transaction choose forbid radio button and select the set function.
7. Save and assign the status profile to order type in OPJH.
Change in a process order not allowed when the order status is TECO
1. Goto TCODE BS02
2. Create status profile ex A1
3. Assign the Object type Ex PP PRODUCTION ORDERS.
4. Goto User status.
5. Enter TECO and set as initial.
6. Double click on TECO
7. Goto create mode
8. click goods movement Forbid.
9. Confirm order forbid set active status
10 GR For production order forbid set active.
11. Assign the user status to order type

How to get system status and user status of service order

I want to show user status and system status for service order in my report and i am using CRM_ORDER_READ function module to read the status, but it is returning lot of status records, could anyone please suggest how to get the system status and user status for service order.
I did not find any clue for how to get user status, i can see the user status when i open the transaction using CRMD_ORDER.

Hi,
Go to CRM_JEST table give your service order guid and get the status, pass this status into TJ02. You will get the status of your order.
