System Still posting Secondary Cost after locking everything in master data

Hi
My question is i am putting a cost against service order through confirmation of activities. This service order has work centre and work centre has cost centre assigned to it to calculate cost but the cost centre is blocked for every kind posting but after confirmation system is still posting to calculate cost against that cost centre. If i try to put cost directly against that cost centre in journal system will stop me to do this but for secondary posting (although it is blocked for that purpose as well) it is still posting through the scenario i have explianed enough. Can anybody explain me how can i stop that?

Hi,
To alter the effect of this indicator so that sender cost centers are also locked against allocation, change the type of messsage GM 155 from I (information) to E (error). Go to OBA5 and change the message control.

WBS is Real and cost center in the master data is for statistical postings i.e. responsible cost center in WBS.
How to make substitution (OKC9) deriving the cost center in document line items / invoice posting etc.
Kindly give detail process for its configuration steps and is there any BADI available which can be useful in this regards?

Irrelevant message after attempt to delete Master Data.

Hi friends, i got one unwanted attribute existed in the master data and when iam trying to delete this it's giving one msg callede -->Table /BIC/YZXX2 does not exist.
And also i applied the note 1110324 Irrelevant message after attempt to delete Master Data.
Any one has faced this problem, pls suggest me ....how to over come this.

F-92 posting error- Cost centre locked for revenue posting

Hello,
While I am trying to post F-92 (Asset Retirment), I get the following error:
"Cost center AR011001 in controlling area 1000 is locked for revenue postings on 25.11.2009."
How do I go ahead?

I am aware I can remove the lock indicator in the cost centre master data. We had earlier uploaded cost centre master data through LSMW .
My question is once the lock is removed , we will be able to go ahead and post to the cost centre .The Gl account used here is CLEARING REVENUE ACCOUNT FIXED ASSET and when we assign the cost centre with lock indicator we get the message
"Cost center AR011001 in controlling area 1000 is locked for revenue postings on 25.11.2009"
Would like to know the impact (apart from effect on reporting) once the lock indicator is removed.

Where to set lock while loading master data attributes

Hello Experts,
I have two different datasources from ECC which loads into 0CUST_SALES attributes. I'm using two different DTP & transformation which are loading data in the this infoobject attributes.
When i try to load data, the DTP fails with an error message at "Updating attributes for InfoObject 0CUST_SALES Processing Terminated" & the job log says: "Lock NOT set for: Loading master data attributes".
Here what exactly LOCK means?

Hi,
The lock means that some program is updating the master data (a table) and at the same time other program can not update that same master data. When the first program completes the updation it will release the lock so that the other program can update this.
In your case you and schedule the DTP one after another.

After user create a useless MRP view data in Material master data , how to remove it ?

Material master once created cannot be deleted.Only thing u can do is to mark it for deletion
Go to Logistics > Materials management > Material master > Material > Flag for deletion > Immediately.
Give the necessary data that is needed for the view you want to delete.
Press and flag the view you want to delete.
Now the view is flagged for deletion. This means that it's use is limited and it will be cleaned up or really deleted at the next clean up of the system.

Go to SPRO-Asset accounting->Master data->Screen layout->Define screen layout for asset master data. There inside the screen layout tab go to Logical Field groups and inside Time dependent data you will cost center field mantenance.
This screen layout would be assigned to your relevant asset class in SPRO transaction OAOA.

BEX F4 help values from posted values in Info Provider not from Master data

We have an info object called Archival purpose and it is display attribute of Master data info object Archive Number. Both Info objects are used in a cube. Posted values in cube have only two value for info object Archival purose which is "EXCOM" and "EA".
But when we do the F4 in the bex query, we see some other F4 values. Although Master data is having other entries but we have defined in the bex property of both the info object to read the f4 value from the posted values in the info provioder.
Please suggest how to get values in bex F4 help only from posted values in info provider and not from the master data.

Hi,
You don't need to change the Infoobject definition as it will become global and it will be applicable for whereever this infoobject is used. Instead you can manage this setting for this particular Infoprovider.
Go to RSA1 and double click on your infoprovider used for this query, go to change mode. From the right hand side dimension tree search for the Infoobject for which you want to maintain this property. If it is navigation attribute then you can search it in navigation attribute tree.
Once you find the infoobject right click and from context menu choose the first option "InfoObject specific properties". In the next popup in the last option about F4 values for filter you can select the option, "Only values from Infoprovider".

Process Dimension after BW to BPC Master Data Load

Hi All,
i'm looking for the way to process a dimension after master data load from BW to BPC (following the corresponding how to guide in BPC 7.5 NW). The new members are visible from BPC Administrator -> Mantain Dimension Members, but not visible in BPC for Excel after "Refresh Dimension Member".
New members are visible only if i process dimension from BPC Administrator , but I want this task to be automatic.
¿Any ideas?

I'm using Standard Process Chain IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER in BPC 7.5 NW SP03. I will open a Sap note.
As a quick solution, I found in SAP Help (is 7.0 but I suppose it's the same behaviour in 7.5) there is another Process Chain (ADMINTASK_MAKEDIM) that can be used to process a Dimension http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc70sp02/helpdata/en/36/339907938943ad95d8e6ba37b0d3cd/frameset.htm. It has two parameteres ("Dimension Name" and "Input File"). Help says that if you leave "Input File" field blank, the dimension is processed, but it is mandatory field in package.
I have tried to modify package parameters but always appears an error with MEM_XML_PATH parameter in process chain.
¿Does anybody know how this package/process chain works?

Still getting error (-10011) after trying everything else

I just bought a new G-Driver External Hard Drive and i have 16GB from on my Macbook Pro from crucial.com but i am still getting an "System Overload. The audio engine was not able to process all required data in time. (-10011)" I have checked the other entries related to this issue very carefully and tried all of that and more what should I do?

My current project is relatively small to the other projects I still have to work on. Recording went off without a hitch but I am mixing the project now and this particular song has: 2 electric guitar tracks, bass guitar, 4 vocal tracks, about 6 drum tracks. Each guitar has like 8 plugins on it same goes for vocals. The drums only have compression and EQ in each, and each instrument group is being sent to their own busses respectively.
They are all audio files no Midi or software instruments for this particular song but when I do use MIDI it's mainly superior drummer, Garritan Personal Orchestra, and Alchemy. These all take up a lot of space is freezing the tracks the ONLY option I have? I would like to not have to freeze all of the tracks when I'm mixing as it takes a while for them to freeze and mixing is a creative process that shouldn't be halted.
Also I "saved as" each file onto my external hard drive maybe is that not enough?
Anything I might have misses would be helpful

Citrix and SAP 8.8 : SAP crashes after choose country in master data

hi,
i'm using SAP 8.8 Sp00 PL06 and citrix xen app 5.
Each time the users try to add a new business partner and try to change the field country in business partner adresses the system crashes.
If i work directly on Server everything works fine. It seems that 8.8 has a problem with citrix.
Has anybody a solution for this problem

My Company is the Maintainer of the Citrix XenApp 5.0 Farm.
Next to the SAP Crash Dump there are no eventlogs written down to the server.
Which Authorization Issue do you mean? Why there should be an Authorization issue if the Application (and others) are working correctly? There are only certain steps/processes which are crashing the application (within the application herself).
I've read about an mostly simmilar problem with webinterface 3.0 and SAP Business One Crashes. At this time the computer name was more then 15 characters --> crashing application.
There is again an access violation. I've read about printers. What about them?

How to lock R/3 master data transatcions when using Central MDM Scenario?

Hello Colleagues.
We are implementing a Central master data management scenario, all master data will be created / changed within MDM; so we need to block create/change for fields that are considered in MDM for the master records within R/3.
In a previous project we used authorization profiles to achieve this task. I supose an other option is to use the field status configuration.
However, I was wondering if SAP has something standard to achieve this blocking within R/3?

Hi Jorge,
SAP MDM has released Central Master Data management as standard already. Also SAP MDM SP04 has more features which will have easy integratoin for standard R/3 Repositories for CRM, SRM etc. You have a facility in MDM Repository for creating your customized Roles which will help you to block certain access to users.

Cost Center Locking for Direct Posting

Hi all,
I am getting an error reading something like this:
"cost center is locked for primary posting.".
Can any tell me how do I address issue? Is changing the cost center in the control tab of change cost center node in img guide the only way? If i do that, do I need to explicity activate it? And most importantly, which of the 6 check boxes prevents(if at all) from being directly posted.

Hi Vivek,
Execute Transaction code KS02, input the affected cost centre to change the master data. Click on the "Control" tab and uncheck the box "Actual primary costs". Save your changes. With this amendment, you would no longer have the error message during posting.
Normally, if the check box is checked, this is what would happened.
Lock Indicator for Actual Primary Postings
Indicator defining whether a cost center is locked for posting with direct costs.
If the indicator is checked/active, no primary costs can be posted to the cost center. You may, however, still use the cost center for evaluations such as summarization, etc.

Secondary cost from WBS to AUC

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in posting secondary costs from WBS to AUC.
In Project systems they are considering secondary costs from the activities in the network. i settled the cost from network to WBS. and when i tried to settle From wbs to AUC system is asking for settlement costelement for secondary cost. But the secondary cost should be settled to costcenter but not to AUC.
Please suggest how can we do the settlement from WBS to AUC. How to handle settlement of secondary costs in this scenario.

Through MM, contract is created (ME31N) whereby the settlement G/L accounts are identified.
The contract then is released through MM with TCode ME21N which prompts Commitment Costs to be entered, after which the Service Entry Sheet SES through TCode ME81L which then automatically updates into the WBS.
Through WBS, CJ88 would be the TCode you would have to use for settlement.
