System Update does not find any packages W530 Win8

According to the tvsu log System update build: 2012-9-27 5.00.0019 tries to connect to two URLs:
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/agent/SSClientCommon/HelloLevel_9_00_00.xml
and
https://download.lenovo.com/catalog//2447_Win8_DESC.xml
Which are both not available (404).
How to fix this issue?

the win8 driver catalogs accessed through TVSU might not come on-line until on or after the official os release date. until they do become available, you can get selected win8 drivers through your model's driver matrix:

Thanks for the assistance Carl. I was able to download and install the 7 hotfix(minus the manual fixes yet).
The error log does not report anything pertaining to the update. The out log is showing almost the same as update log. Here is what I see:

Aurget does not find any package

I've tried to download several packages from aur with aurget and it failed every time for the last week or so.
For example:
[masm@mycray abs]$ aurget -Sd aurget
searching AUR...
error: aurget: package not found in AUR.
With yaourt, it works:

What can I do to fix aurget? I have the latest version from aur (3.4.2-1)

Thanks for responding. I tried using very simple terms as you suggested with 0 results. It seems to go and index the folders, then comes back with no results. I tried re-indexing in windows and including the photo folders in the index, I also tried purging the adobe bridge index and increasing the size of it. Does bridge always use the index file to 'Find', and when 'Include Non-Indexed Files' is selected, it simply indexes the other folders then searches that index and returns the results? I ask this because for files in the D: drive, it keeps reindexing the same folders it already indexed the last time I tried to 'Find' in non-indexed files. Bridge sometimes gets stuck indexing a folder and keeps the file handle open even after I close bridge. I have to use 'OpenedFilesView' to release the file. The cache is located in the default folder on the C: in the appropriate users folder. I have 20GB of free space on that drive, and over 100gb free space on D:. A little more info: The photo files are on an internal HDD D:\folder, formated as NTFS. They are primarily .jpg and .nef. Bridge is installed on internal HDD C:<default folder>, also NTFS. I tried 'Find' using simple terms on a .jpg on the desktop, and it was found. Windows Vista is installed on C: For some reason

Too, try uninstalling System Update (completely remove it) install Windows 7 sp1 (if not done already) and reinstall System Update again. Do not restart immediately, wait a few moments and than restart. See what's happens.

Because the e-mail-support page doesn't works at the moment (after sending a message I only get a blank page) I will ask my question here.
Since maybe 2 or 3 months my connection to WLAN-networks is really bad. I have nothing changed, neither the Windows version (Windows 7) nor drivers, but it does not work as good as it was.
Some examples:
I'm sitting 5 metres away from the wlan router. Only a wall is seperating. The notebook does not find any wlan-network. With my HP notebook the connection is good. I'm sitting on the desk where the router stands. The notebook finds the network, but Windows says connection seems to be only average or bad. My HP notebook has the best connection rating.
Anybody here who can help or can say how I contact the support per e-mail without getting only this blank page?

After WLAN driver update make also sure that power saving mode is disabled for WLAN card. You can do this in Windows Power Management.

Driver update in such cases its always advisable but in my case it was the power saving of WLAN card. :)

Why Hp does not find any solution for Noisy Fan systems ?

I got DV6t core i5 6gb ram + 1gb Ati Radeon Graphic Card (6490m) + bluetooth + Bluray
I have to return it because of that noisy fan ; i was a new member of Hp family and i never investigate about that product for Laptop. After it got that gorgeous Laptop , i got this fan issue ; and i research that fan is working normal/anormal ; what i find out is Hp has a Noisy Fan Issue on all of the Video clips , Forum Websites even its own website ; I realy didnt know till i got it. If that is a common issue , Why that big brand HP doesnt solve that problem since many years ? I sincerely doesnt want to return this item because of fan ; because there is no comparative product in others company has .... (Bluetooth + Bluray + Finger print + 1gb (Integrated Graphic) and $749 ; i can not find any brand or product which includes that options in this price ..... So UNFORTUNATELY i am returning that Beautiful Laptop Because of ridiculous fan noise ; is that really hard to install a fan which is really silence ??? I have a Toshiba brand laptop , even the fan is working hard there is no bothering noise at all (Even its 4 years old) . Software Update/iTunes Update does not show any new updates

My mac is on a new internet provider and OS X update, and even iTunes update, no longer work properly. The OS update reports no new updates (even though new updates exist: TimeMachine and Airport Update v1.0, Security Update 2008-002 v1.0,...).
The problem has been isolated to an outgoing IP address: 24.29.138.* (cpe-24-29-138-??.nyc.res.rr.com, where ?? is a range of ip addresses 11 to 96) used or referenced whenever OS Software update or iTunes update is run. Whois reports the IP range as Road Runner, presumable residential services (and not apple). The outgoing service provider has that range of IP addresses blocked.
Anybody else see this? Anybody know why the mac update services reference *.nyc.res.rr.com? Any solution besides taking my mac to another internet provider service for updates?

Yes, cable modems were switched. Never had RoadRunner/Bright House service (now or then). Went from Cox to Uverse. Believe the MacBook was added after service providers were changed, but nonetheless, have reset the mac at least twice (upgrade from Tiger to Leopard required tech support to get it working, which included several "hard" resets), the modem/router has been reset several times (with several instances of +24 hours between shut-down and restarts). The fiber service has the modem and router combined, so resetting is a single operation.
From Network Settings, I have valid IP addresses and it is using DHCP.
I have VirusBarrier installed, along with NetBarrier, which is how I learned about the odd outgoing connection via RoadRunner during mac/iTunes updates. VirusBarrier reported no spy/malware.
When you run Mac OS Software Update or attempt to download iTunes updates, your system does not connect (or attempt to connect) to any non-apple IP addresses? Just like to confirm if anybody else see this or not?
Even posting to this discussion board causes an outgoing connection to cpe-24-29-138-65.nyc.res.rr.com TCP Port 54450 and working up to 54537, appears to be an outgoing message every 30 seconds to the next Port in sequence.
Any ideas what is happening? Booted up the Powerbook G4 on the same network, has the same outgoing connection to nyc.res.rr.com.

EH4 Completed - System Status does not show any info

I have completed the EHP4 installation on one of our ECC 6.0 system and now when i login to SAP and click on System -- Status
it jus shows me that it is ECC 6.0 ,It does not show me ECC 6.0 EHP4 , do i need to do anything after EHP installation is over?

we had to increase the DB size. Before i started the EHP when i took the DB backup our DB size was 83 GB and now when
i check it is 135 GB, is it possible for us to recliam this space. The only option which i can think of is DB Reorganization but was
not very sure. Any inputs would be of great help.

System Update does not start

Windows 7 x64. I launched System Update V4 from Solution Center. It automatically updated to Version 5.2. System Update 5.2 seems to start (the Tvsukernal.exe is showing active in Task Manager) and the icon is on the task bar, but no System Update window ever appears. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. I would like to update my system, but how?

But how exactlly does one accomplish deleting SUService between uninstall of System Update 4 and install of System Update 5? When I launch System Update V4 it immediately downloads and starts installing V5. So, while the installer was running I deleted the SUService. Still same problem. I uninstalled System Update completely, all files removed including SUService. Reinstalled with System Update 5.02. Still same problem. System Update seems to launch, appears on the task bar, but its window will not open.

Airport utility does not find any airport and time capsule hardware

Hi, I have 4 airport expresses (2 for music and one for extending network) and a time capsule that also acts as my wifi router. The expresses have always appeared and disappeared from the express utility, while the TC is always listed. Now airport utility cannot find find any of them, and after many rescans, and a few "successful" hard reboots (in the sense that they were configured, but then disappeared again), still does not see them. The strange thing is that the TC has to be working because this computer is hooked up to the internet via the wifi router, and it is working fine. Any ideas? The expresses are not that big of a deal, as I can always plug an ipod to play music, but they used to work. I am on 5.4.2 on the utility, having rolled it back a few months ago when some of these problems begain. thanks

Welcome to the discussions!
It sounds like you are trying to scan for and configure your Apple devices using wireless. If you haven't tried this yet, I think you will have much better luck if you connect an ethernet cable directly from your computer to the device that you are trying to "see".
If this does not work at first, it may help to power down both your computer and the device, then connect the ethernet cable and power the computer and device back up.

Iphone 5 does not find any device to pair with

Have been trying to pair my Polar Heart Rate monitor H7 on the Polar Beat app and it keeps on telling me to enable Bluetooth in the iPhone's settings.
Bluetooth is on in settings but doesn't find any devices ... not even my Mac

DBA Studio does not find any Database 8.1.7

Hello,
I have a problem when startung DBA-Studio!
I installed Windows 2000 and Oracle 8.1.7.
In Enterprise Manager Console my node is recognised, Manger service and
Oracle81Agent are running. When starting the DBA Studio in "Manager Server
OMS" mode giving user/Password for SysMan account and the node-name, it
stops with VTO-4400 ! It can't find any Database and the user should use the
Enterprise Manager Console ! But this is done!!!

this is probably due to an incomplete restoration of xml after running rmjvm.
having done rmjvm, all java classes, including xml classes are gone so i suspect you need to redo initxml

NOW! It will not resolve any of the classes because for each file I am getting the following error:
ORA-29521: referenced name <--class name--> could not be found
I recieved this error for each class loaded via loadjava and calling the xsu111.jar file.
any reasons why? There is also a file named xsu12.jar is the latest?

System update does not work with Win7 SP1 RC Wave 1

Just a heads up. System Update on win7 64-bt SP1 RC Wave 1 fails to query available updates.
My guess it is because the operating version number is incremented from 7600 to 7601.
If Lenovo would like me to work with them on testing this combination, please contact me.

You may need to wait until Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is released (or shortly thereafter) for Lenovo's ThinkVantage System Update to work with the operating system at its new patch level.

New operating system updates does not download

I have trying to download the latest operating system updates for my IPhone 4 and I am constantly getting an error message that indicates, "The Network Connection Has Timed Out." Any thoughts or recommendations?

Temporarily disable ALL of your antivirus and antispyware software and make sure your firewall is open.
