Systemsound will switch back to AirPlay (over Apple TV) each restart

I have a strange problem over a longer time now...
Each time who I restart my iMac, the systemsound will be played over AirPlay and not over the internal speakers.
The Apple TV is ever present in my settings and selectable, but often not active (disconnected from the power). My AirPort Express is not available in the AirPlay list, when It's not active, so this fact makes the problem for me a bit more stranger
If you have any idea to solve this problem, pls give me a hint.

There's really no telling what the problem might be - you may want to try running the Apple Hardware Test (if you can) to see if you've a hardware issue. If you can't even get to the AHT, you've no option but to take the machine into your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them run diagnostics on the machine.

HAHAHAHA....well good luck to you and COX. Their service pales in comparision to Verizon Fios!! And honestly I've lived in this state for 39 years and can do with out WJAR and it's blown up news crew...the only thing I'll be missing is bad news...and with all the technology out there I can stream Sunday night football to my television from my FIOS driven computer!! For all the plus I get I can live with this one minus.

The sound from certain TV shows I bought on my iPad will not play through AirPlay on Apple TV.

I recently bought a couple of tv shows on my ipad. When I play them through airplay on my apple tv, only some play the audio while others do not at all. For example, Downtown Abbey plays perfectly (sound and video) while Homeland does not (only video). I am using an original ipad, and a new apple tv. Any ideas? I've been having this problem since the new Apple Tv update. I wish Apple would address the issue but I've found out the new update changed my audio settings within the AppleTV. Go to settings>>Audio & Video>> then scroll down to the Dolby Digital setting and if it says ON (on,Auto,off) then switch it to Auto.. and presto you have audio again.. Found this out myself when I was about to rewatch the League season 1.. For some reason I orginaly had it set to auto but the new update changed it to On. Really getting sick and tired of Apple lately.

I have yet to find an email server that does not work with Mail.app. Your solution will be to configure its ports and send/receive protocol according to the email server's requirements.

My sound switches from internal speakers to apple Tv and i dont have an apple tv device

I am having problems with sound. My speakers will switch from internal speakers to Apple TV for no reason when I am on a certain wifi network and ask for a password. I do not have an apple TV and in order for the sound to come out on the internal speakers i have to manually go into the preferences and switch back to internal speakers. This does this constantly while i am listening to music. Is there a way to shut off the feature so it will stay on internal speakers? This has happened ever since i made the upgrade to OS mountain lion. I never did this before. Thank you for your help.

Are you sure that WIFI network doesn't have an AppleTV on it? Just because you don't own it doesn't mean there isn't one on that network. The laptop or better said the OS cannot differentiate between an AppleTV that you own or not. If it sees one on the network, it will show you one as being available. The automatic reconnection is happening probably because the last time you streamed to an AppleTV, you didn't drop that connection before sleeping the computer or shutting down iTunes.

Based on playing with a chart in Pages, I do not think the charts take their input from a table, but rather, you enter the data by clicking the chart (to activate it), then clicking the button "Edit Chart Data":

I would think you want to have a table in Numbers to create the data, then copy and paste the data into the data table for the chart (I wouldn't type it in)

Outlook 2013 - Read emails keep switching back to Unread

I have this weird problem with 2013 Outlook client and Exchange 2010 where on random some of read emails will switch back to unread state. Its very annoying specially when you have executives sending you emails and you can't tell if this is a new one or
one that you read and took action on.
Company's desktop support folks say that there is nothing wrong with my exchange account. I told them it has to be my account/maillbox or some setting on exchange as this is happening on two different machines. One is a windows 7 pro laptop, the other one
is windows 7 pro desktop. both 64bit version of windows but 32bit version of outlook/msoffice 2013.
I only installed outlook on the desktop to see if my outlook on laptop was the culprit. but since both clients are behaving the same way.. it has to be something on the exchange side.

The issue could occur if the sync between the Outlook client and OWA is not completed or the Outlook data file in the Outlook client is corrupted, every time when syncing to OWA, it will change the status back to “Unread”. To narrow down the issue, please
try the steps below:
Disconnect all the clients connected to the account except OWA.
Make the message as read in OWA, then check if the status will be changed back.
If not, open Outlook, then check if the status will be synced to Outlook.
If the status changes to unread again in OWA, it could be related to Outlook.
In addition, you can also try to re-create outlook profile and check if any helps.

Need switching back to interleaved.

Couple of days ago the homehub3 has decided it will switch back to "Fast" latency from "interleaved" and has been causing issues which has needed me to unplug the DSL line and replug it back in after the Broadband light has switched off every evening and morning. This is causing issues when attempting to play games on steam or minecraft such as horrible lag and being kicked off the server cause i am "moving too fast" in minecraft
Can I phone up BT India and get them to switch me back to interleaved as "fast" latency is having more issues than normal with "interleaved" or do the mods need to do this.

Why don't use iTunes? Because this just needs to many handling in order to get it where i want it (in general, this whole idea of doing everything online just works likes... ). An app is easier (that's why it is invented).

Did you try a reset, hold the power button and home button until you see the apple then let go? Did you try to restore as new in iTunes on your computer?

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again

I just got a replacement for my iPhone 4S, ever since i could be sitting in the same spot and go from 5 bars w/ 4G to 1 bar then it will say searching..then shortly after it will return back to 5 bars. Apple or service provider?

I just went to the Apple store not three days ago to get a replacement. They gave me a replacement then moved on to the next customer. Ever since I have gotten home my service has been going in and out. I can have my phone in the same place and it can say that i have 5 bars with 4G, then not two seconds later it will go to 1 bar, after that it will say Searching..for a little over two minutes. Then it will go back to saying that i have 5 bars with 4G, and the cycle will continue. I am not sure whether this is an Apple problem or if it is my service provider. I have talked to several others who have the same service provider and they say that they are not experiencing any problems!

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore. Has any of this been tried?
Unless and until is has been, Apple will not do anything, beyond the basic troubleshooting listed above.

From the iPod's Main Menu choose Videos -> Settings and make sure TV Out is set to Off.
Otherwise, try a hard reset as well. To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
