Sysvol Not Replicated Gpt.ini File Have a Differnet Version

Hi,
I have 3 domain controllers
1.Id-dc1 - its the main dc (server2008 R2)
2.id-dc2 (server2008 R2)
3.id-dc3 (server2003)
On Id-dc1(server2008 r2) & id-dc3(server2003) the sysvol folder its good the same folders and its the same version in gpt.ini file.
On id-dc2 (server 2008 r2) the sysvol folder not the same i have just 6 folders of 14 folders.
How i can Sync Sysvol folder on this server ?

Hi,
The gpt.ini file contains the corresponding GPO's configuration settings, which includes its current version number and the default GPO display name. The version number is updated every time a change to the GPO is made.
In this case, there seems to be something wrong with the AD replication. To identify Active Directory replication problems, use the
repadmin /showreps command.
What's more, please check the Event viewer to see if there is any error indicate a problem with Active Directory replication.

It seems that many (if not all) of my files have been replaced by older versions. I can find the multiple version including the most recent version using the Search, however, they show up in the same directory even though Finder only shows a single copy. I am able to save and then overwrite in order to restore but this is strange. There is no chance that another user here has done any sort of system restore action (at least intentionally).

In a OS Extended (HFS) file system there is no way you can have two files with identical names in the same directory.
Of course who knows what spotlight is thinking of most of the time when it does its stupid searches (get Find any File instead) and lists its results? Are you sure it is listing the same directory or do you have a backup and it is finding it there and you aren't noticing it is two different volumes?
You could also try reindixing the volume. Add it to the Spotlight system preferences Privacy and then remove it.

FRS errors 13552 & 13555. SYSVOL not replicating.

Hi All, looking for a little help here...
Here is the scenario. My (new) client has ONLY 1 domain controller (Windows Server 2003 which I will call SERVER1). I recently installed a new 2008 R2 server and made it a replica domain controller. Everything went well until I realised that
there was no SYSVOL share on the new server. I checked FRS event logs on SERVER1 and noticed that event ID errors 13552 & 13555 have been occuring since December 2010.
I've been reading about changing burflags to do a nonauthorative restore from a replica DC however in this case there is only 1 DC. Can someone advise how I go about fixing this?

Hi CURNS, thanks for the replies. Yes, it works in below scenario (Replication from 2003 to 2008).
There was only 1 copy of sysvol, and it was on the old DC. The new DC has not yet shared or replicated sysvol thus making the burflag D2 option a no go. I first had to fix whatever the issue was with the old DC before the new one would replicate.
I fixed replication issue with 4 easy steps:
1. stopped the FRS service on both DCs (old and new)
2. set burflag on old DC to D4 (to tell it its the boss)
To configure the SYSVOL replica set to be authoritative, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the BurFlags entry under the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NtFrs\Parameters\Cumulative
Replica Sets\GUID
GUID is the GUID of the domain system volume replica set that is shown in the following
registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NtFrs\Parameters\Replica
Sets\GUID
Right-click BurFlags, and then click Modify.
Type D4 in the Value Data field (HexaDecimal), and then click OK.
3. restarted FRS service on old DC.
4. restarted FRS service on new DC.
After this I could see event logs saying FRS was now working and I confirmed sysvol and netlogon shares now existed on the new DC using net share command.

HT1414 the "devices" heading does not show in itunes-I have downloaded latest version

I am trying to export music to my ipod-which I have done previously-My ipod does not show up on itunes. The "device " heading is not there either.
I have recently added Norton to my computer.
I tried a different computer and that computer is not reading ipod in devices and printers either.
what can I do.
My cable is working as far as I know, as it charges my ipod

BBC iplayer says Adobe Air needs updating: Adobe Air will not install, but says I have a later version already on my PC!

stumbled on this conversation after having problems myself.
After lots of trial and error, I was finally able to install iPlayer on my MacBook Pro.
Firstly remove Adobe Air (Applications, Utilities, Adobe Air Uninstaller).
Reboot (not sure if it is needed but it is what I did).
Download Adobe Air 2.5 from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/853/cpsid_85304.html
Then retry installing iPlayer from the BBC webpage. I ignored the prompt from Adobe Air to upgrade to the latest version (3.1).

Flash player is not recognized even though we have the current version

upon clicking on a youtube url we get an error message stating that we need to install the current version of flash in order to play the url. We already have that install and when cut and pasting it into IE it works just fine.

IE uses a different version of Flash (ActiveX) than other browsers use. You need the Plugin version for Firefox.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit

I can not load up my files on newer illustrator version. Please help me

I recently saved my illustrator work files on an external hard drive due to me needing repair on my computer at the Apple store. I got it back with everything erased. So I had to redownload the illustrator from adobe but apparently its a different version from one i had before. Now that I have it back im trying to load my files but its telling me I have the wrong software. Please help

What exactly is the warning in the dialog box?
Did you save directly to the external drive or did you copy the files there?
Did the files work directly after you copied them to the external drive? Did you test that with your old version?
Do you know you can return to a previous version?

I would suggest using the Quick Launch instead with Firefox being one of the first so it shows on the task bar. No preloaded or anything just ready to use.

I think IE is a browser interface to Windows, Firefox is self-contained and runs on any system.

Ok, I attempted to update my Iphone3s and it has degraded my phone and deleted alot of my apps, now i am trying to reupdate it again and its not working and the apps are not downloading either because i have an old version of the update on my Iphone now.

Local GPT.ini not updating

Hello Everyone,
I am having some issues with the current project i am on. I need to replicate local group policies to all local workstation (100+) so i can launch a specific script at startup.
I already have it working when i manually create the policy via
gpedit.msc on the local machines but when i try to copy the files/folders within c:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy to another workstation the policies do not apply! ( i am copying the folders, gpt.ini and Registry.pol
files)
Running gpupdate /f on the workstation and multiple reboots
did not apply the policies.
After the copy and reboots i can run gpedit.msc and it shows the correct policy setting i need, but it is still not taking effect.
I am finding that i need to go back into gpedit.msc and undo then re-do the settings, then the GPO was saved and gpupdate /f applied, then all policies in the set
would apply.
The only thing i see differently is the gpt.ini files show different version numbers. Could this be my problem? Any suggestions on how to resolve this are welcome. thanks

if you copy gpt.ini to a different workstation that already HAS a
gpt.ini, you MUST ensure that the new gpt.ini has higher version numbers
(the version is a 32 bit number. the lower 16 bit are the computer
version, the higher 16 bit are the user version). Otherwise the computer
will recognize that in the past, he applied version 25 eg, and now you
provided version 16 which is donwlevel and will not apply.

it would be good idea to run dcdiag on each of your servers and post the results from the one that is failing.
also check event logs for further information.
doing a repadmin /replsum and showing the output here would also help us understand if you are having general replication issues too

As some of you might know, the Tools>>Options dialog box allows you to control options that are stored in the LabVIEW.INI file. With each release of LabVIEW, we have steadily increased the number of available options to customize LabVIEW environment. For example, the LabVIEW R&D team has added over 15 block diagram options since LabVIEW 5.x and only removed a small handful.
As the LabVIEW team introduces new features, we provide more and more configurable options to satisfy different development styles or interests. However, the proliferation of options can prove confusing. It becomes difficult to distinguish between widely-used options and ones that are applicable only to a small set of customers.
To gain a better sense of how customers use the settings in the Tools>>Options dialog box, I would like to collect as many customer INI files as possible. This will allow me to analyze option usage and improve the usability of the Tools>>Options dialog box.
