T-43 Procedure for HDD UP grade and clean windows 7 Install
Does any one know of good step by step outrline for installing a 230 HDD in a T-43 1875 DLU and then a clean install of windows 7 ? Manhy thanks in advancxe fore your help. . .
T-43 1875 DLU windown XP SP3 Pentium M 1.73 Gz 2 Gb RAM 60 gb HDD 6c Li;Ion batty
Solved!
Go to Solution.
Thank you, George. That is just what I was trying to do.
I am installing windows 7 on a T-43 with a new 320 GB HDD. I know about the problem. With the Windows 7 DVD in the slot, I boot and
a window comes up "Installing Windows" then
Load driver
Select the driver to be installed
Hide drivers that are not compatible with hardware on this computer?
Browse Rescan
I have tried every file that appears when I browse, but none is installed.
It then tells me
"No device drivers were found. Make sure that the
installation media contains the right drivers and click next"
I believe the "installation media" is the Windows 7 DVD and I don't think there are
any IBM/Lenovo drivers on it. Does anyone know what can I do to get beyond this
place?
I must've missed something because it is usually easier than this, or I AM getting
SLOWER. . .
I have downloaded all the Windows 7 drivers for the T-43 1875 DLU and have
them on a flash drive ready to drag and drop into Windows 7 when it appears. I am
DOS ignorant, having started to learn computers
in 1995, with Windows 3, I believe. I am now 81 years old and slowing fast.
I'd like to get this laptop set up for my old age!

Procedure for creating a user and assigning him a role
Hi folks,
has anyone of you a procedure for creating a user and then assigning him a spezial role?
The procedure has 2 arguments username and password. I think that its an easy one but I
have not found the right packages.
Thankscreate or replace procedure new_user(username_in IN VARCHAR2, password_in IN VARCHAR2) is
C_TEMP_TSP CONSTANT VARCHAR2(30) := 'TEMP';
C_DEFAULT_TSP CONSTANT VARCHAR2(30) := 'USERS';
C_DEFAULT_ROLE CONSTANT VARCHAR2(30) := 'SPECIALROLE';
begin
execute immediate 'create user ' || username_in ||
' identified by ' || password_in ||
' default tablespace ' || C_DEFAULT_TSP ||
' temporary tablespace ' || C_TEMP_TSP;
execute immediate 'grant '|| C_DEFAULT_ROLE ||' to '||username_in;

This morning came in to find clients were not getting there bootfiles through PXE. I checked the logs to find the following events related to WDS.
The Open Procedure for service "WDSTFTP" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\wdstftp.dll" failed
The Open Procedure for service "WDSServer" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\wdssrv.dll" failed
The Open Procedure for service "WDSMC" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\wdsmc.dll" failed
Has anyone seen this or have a link to a resolution?
tconnersHotfix loaded but didn't help.
Found a few articles referring to rebuilding the perf counter library. I ran "lodctr /R" failed first time then worked the second time. I believe the errors:
The Open Procedure for service "WDSTFTP" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\wdstftp.dll" failed
The Open Procedure for service "WDSServer" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\wdssrv.dll" failed
The Open Procedure for service "WDSMC" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\wdsmc.dll" failed
Are gone but PXE boot still fails.
Do you think I might have to uninstall WDS and reinstall? "Using SCCM console to just remove PXE"

This error is occurring on my Windows Server 2008R2 server with SQL 2008R2 installed. I have found lots of "help" but none of it works...
The Open Procedure for service "BITS" in DLL "C:\Windows\system32\bitsperf.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code.
The "help" I have found...

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300956I was able to re-install BITS. The BITS error seems to have gone away, but this error is now showing...

App Store keep asking to update for 10.9.4 and its already installed
Hello ,
In the past two days App Store keep telling me to update for 10.9.4 and its already installed on my laptop . and if i press to download App Store is downloading the whole mavericks again which is 5.* GB .
in order to try solving the problem i went to apple website and downloaded the update manually 10.9.4 that fixes the same bugs , and i installed it . but App Store keep telling me to update something that its already installed !!! any suggestion please ?
I'm using MacBook Pro 2011 late .
8 GB Memory
The existing OS X is 10.9.4 .
Thanks ,@Barney-15E : i have only one hard disc divided into two partitions one for mac and the other for windows so i think its not a problem !!
@quarkdoll : The thing I'm having is that the update pop's out sometimes and tells me to "Update to 10.9.4 as i said above" and mostly its telling me "No Update Available" . its really confusing !!
Thanks ! -

Stored Procedure for Batch Number Format and Block Duplicate Batch Number
Hi Experts !
I am new one in forum asking question.. I want Stored procedure for Batch Number Format. I want fix one Batch number format in Stored Procedure.
Example :
My Batch number format Like BATCH00001 - It should be first five digit is text format and next five is Numeric.
IF create Goods receipt PO or Goods receipt stage I create batch number like BATCH 00001 or any other number means don't add that document and also duplicated batch number also does not allowed. please give me the solutions. I am sorry for my bad english .Dear Nagarajan K.
Thanks for your replay ..
IF @transaction_type IN ('A','U') AND (@object_type = '106' )
BEGIN
set @item = LEFT( @list_of_cols_val_tab_del, CHARINDEX(CHAR(9), @list_of_cols_val_tab_del,1) - 1)
set @batch = substring(@list_of_cols_val_tab_del, len(@item)+1, (CHARINDEX(CHAR(9), @list_of_cols_val_tab_del,len(@item)+2)) - (len(@item)+1))
--set @base =( select basetype from ibt1 where batchnum = ltrim(rtrim(replace(@batch,char(9),''))))
set @count = (select count(*) from oibt quantity > 0 and where batchnum = ltrim(rtrim(replace(@batch,char(9),''))))
if @count > 1
begin
set @error = 1
set @error_message = 'Please enter different Batch Code for batch ''' + @batch + ''' for item ' + @item
select @error, @error_message
END
END
I used above Stored Procedure. here we can use one batch number for different item but i want to block one batch we should use one item and one time only after than we never use that batch number for same item and another item.
After that I want format for Batch, we should follow unique Batch number for all items. -

Bought used iphone 4 at xmas all fine until update for ios 6.1 came up and i hit install. Now all i get is flashing logo. know nothing bout tech...im old.lol tried hookin up to computer and it went to dfu mode but then flashing logo happening again. Dont know if phone is jailbroken? has cydia store on it. How can i get reset or get it to work again?? Help!!
Apple will not touch a jailbroken device.
You can try restoring as new, but it is not always possible to restore a jailbroken device to a pristine state.
If possible, return the device to the person or store that it was purchased for refund. -
Replacing preinstalled Windows with "normal" and clean Windows installation (T500)
Hello,
is there any way, how to replace preinstalled Windows with my super-clean installation of Windows? I'm really not happy with partitioning (honestly, I'm using Linux, so I want just Win partition, Boot partition, Extended partition (with root, home, swap) --- no recovery partition, no foobar partition, which just make no sense for me), given features which I don't need etc. I would rather have clean setup of Windows 7 and have computer installed my way. Also I don't like such toolbar things, and crappy ware of Lenovo already installed.
I can backup Windows 7 activation and restore it to new clean installation - so I don't need to buy new disc... But - where can I get that clean Windows 7 Ultimate shiny disc? Do anyone know? Is it possible to download it from MS site?The preloaded Windows 7 will probably run faster than a retail version due to the EE optimized drivers. Just uninstall Norton, the Office 2010 Starter trial, the additional media software, and you should be good to go.

Phantom folders after HD format and clean osx install
I was having frequent checksum and other misc errors while trying to mount DMGs or install programs so i decided to format my drive and do a clean install of snow leopard.
After the format and clean install of snow leopard, I did the following..
Join my wi-fi network
Run software update
Installed Xcode
Installed macports, ruby19, python, scala, macruby
installed bbedit, textmate, yojimbo, coda, transmit, omniplan, omnigraffle, omnifocus
Run mobileme sync
and then i discovered the following folders in my application folder.
Access Music
Adobe Bridge CS5.
These folders used to be in my applications folder along with 100+ other applications before I formatted and installed snow leopard.
None of the applications I installed, after snow leopard are dependent or related to these 2 phantom apps even remotely.
How could this have happened?
I'm not on drugs, I've developed software for over 25 years and I'm currently an Architect for financial site that serves millions of users well, so I guess I'm not a complete idiot and I'm also not senile. I'm not 40 yet
Can someone offer an explanation for this? The apple tech I mentioned this to, thought I was a moron as I expected he would. He did find issues with my drive using Disk Warrior though even though disk utility and tech tool had found nothing after several runs.I'm sorry you had that experience with the Apple tech.
Files still remain on the hard drive even after a format if not done with several passes
If you formatted in Disk Utility or used Disk Utility to format, the data that was formatted would be converted into "Free Space" and placed near the end of the drive. There are security options in Disc Utility that prevent this from happening.
Most likely the reason was those folders remained was because the "Free Space" was not wiped. Disc Warrior, a data recovery software was able to locate more files because of this. It does a great job of recovering deleted or formatted data.
I hope this answers your question. -
