T code KANK - Number Range for CO
Dear experts,
When I create CO number range(T code KANK) for a controlling area and do a posting, system takes last document number and therefore I can only post one document at a time.
Example: When I creat number range 1 to 100 and try to do FI posting with a CO object, system will take number 100 as the first document and hence I have to extend the number range again and again. It is ignoring the number range 1 to 99.
I get the message as 'Number interval for transaction COIN in CO area 2000 is exhausted'
Any solution to this problem?
Thank you.
Regards
Paul

Hi,
Check this post as well. You may find it useful
CO Document Number range issue
Since you gave CO number range from 1 to 100 and the buffer in SNRO for object RK_BELEG is 100, you are not able to create any additional CO documents.
One solution is to make sure you give sufficient number range intervals in KANK in order to avoid this.

Number Range for Logistic Documents For Different Company Codes
Hi all..
I need to numbered the logistic documents for diferent company codes (#60) but the number ranges for al those documents should be generated separately according to each CC.
I've read in other thread that I could use the user exit MM06E003, but it seems that only works for PO. There is also a tweak for GR/GI, but.. any idea for all the other documents?
Thanks in advance.
Guillermo (Willy)Hi
using the User exit you can change the Numbers Rnage for the LIV Documents based on the Compnay Code

Different number range for recurring docs for diff company code
Hi,
We define X1 as the number range for recurring company codes. For 2 company codes, we have given the same number range for X1, 100000-1999999
Now when a recurring doc is posted for both the company codes monthly, the company codes have same dco number which confuses the user.
Is there any way to change the set up of the number range like deleting the one existing and starting with the new series
Any other suggestions are appreciated
-VaibhavHello,
You cannot deleted the number range if it has already been posted, however, you just limit or restrict the upper limit equal to the current number.
Create a new number for other company code.
the number ranges are defined at company code level / fiscal year level.
The number ranges can be year dependent or year independent
They may be internal or external.

Number Range for PO based on company code and document type
Dear All,
I've a requirement to assign a separate purchase order Number Range for a company code for the following document types.
ZNB Standard PO
ZRB Return PO
ZUB Stock transport ord.
ZLPA Scheduling agreement
ZLU Transp. sched. agmt.
(Number Ranges are different for each of the doc types mentioned above)
Is it something like I've to create 5 different Number Range objects and then provide the condition in the corresponding user exit , so that the appropriate document could pick its corresponding Number range.
Does anyone have any specific advice / experience on this , I am new to SAP and please advise me as how to go about this requirement. Thanks !!
Srinivas G.Create the five different number ranges via configuration the configuration for PO. Usually a user exit is not needed. You've really posted in the wrong forum.
There is a lot of work involved in creating a different PO types. It is usually done in materials management.
If everything is done:
In spro go to materials management -> purchase order -> define number ranges.
Once they are defined they should work automatically or be entered manually depending on how your number range is set up.

How to determine number range for billing document based on company code ..
Hi Friends!!
can anybody tell me how to determine number range for billing document based on company code & tax departure country if required??
Amit...plz help me!!Hi Amit,
1. Define different Billing Document number ranges in SPRO -> Sales & Dist -> Billing -> Define number ranges for billing docs. (VN01). Make sure that all are internal number ranges.
e.g.
NO. From number To Number Current number Ext
A1 0930000000 0930999999
A2 0940000000 0940999999
A3 0950000000 0950999999
2. Define a Ztable ZNUMB_RANGE as follows
Comp. Code | Tax departure country | Billing Doc Type | Number Range
100 IN F2 A1
200 IN F2 A2
200 US F2 A3
3. In user exit RV60AFZZ (USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE)
Read table ZNUMB_RANGE for Number Range with Comp. Code, Tax country and Billing Doc.
If found pass this number range value to us_range_intern.
us_range_intern is a standard SAP variable which tells program which number range use to create the current document which is under process.
Let me know if you are clear.

In CO82, define groups of order types. Define number intervals and assign number intervals to groups. Organize order types that you want to assign same number interval under groups.

How can I setup different number range for each company code?
Dear GURU,
Is it possible to setup different number range for material document by company code? If yes, what should i do.
Thank you in advance.
ThammaritHi,
you maintain the number assignment for the following documents:
material documents
physical inventory documents
The number assignment for these documents is not to be confused with the number assignment for accounting documents . The number assignment for accounting documents depends on the document type which is allocated to the transaction.
The number assignment for material documents and physical inventory documents depends on the transaction/event type which is also allocated to each transaction in Inventory Management. The transaction/event types are divided into groups of number ranges. A number range interval has to be defined for each group.
You cannot change the transaction/event types. However, you can change the number range intervals or you can allocate transaction/event types to new groups.
Caution: Change in the Fiscal Year
If, at the time of a fiscal year change, you reset the number range in the new fiscal year, separate number range intervals for the previous year and for the current year must be maintained for one month to allow postings to the prior period.
Example:
Interval for 1995: 4900000000 to 4999999999 status: 4900451234
Interval for 1996: 4900000000 to 4999999999 status: 4900000000
If only one number range interval exists for both years and you make any postings to the previous period, the system will assign numbers that already exist in the previous year. This would lead to an update termination.
In the standard system, the transaction/event types and number range intervals are preset for Inventory Management as follows:
Physical inventory documents
Number range interval from 0100000000 to 0199999999
This group contains the following transaction/event types:
- IB Physical inventory documents
- ID Physical inventory documents for counts and differences
without reference
- IN Physical inventory documents for recounts
- IZ Physical inventory documents for count without reference
- WV Physical inventory documents for difference postings in the WM System
Material documents for goods movements and inventory differences
Number range interval from 4900000000 to 4999999999
This group contains the following transaction/event types:
- WA Goods issues, transfer postings, other goods receipts
- WH Goods movements for handling units (HU)
- WI Material documents for inventory adjustment postings
- WL Goods issues for delivery documents (SD)
- WQ Goods movements for usage decisions (QM)
- WR Goods movements for completion confirmations (PP)
- WS Goods movements for run schedule headers (PP)
- WZ Documents for batch status changes
Material documents for goods receipts
Number range interval from 5000000000 to 5999999999
This group contains the following transaction/event types:
- WE Goods receipts for purchase orders
- WF Goods receipts for production orders
- WO Subsequent adjustment of subcontract orders
- WW Subsequent adjustment of active ingredient materials
Inventory sampling numbers
Number range interval from 0200000000 to 0299999999
This group contains the transaction/event type SI.
SAP recommends that you accept the settings defined in the standard system. In this case, no action is required on your part.
Note
For performance reasons, 10 document numbers are buffered on the application server. In this way, gaps in number assignment can occur.
Actions
Check whether you can use the predefined groups and number intervals.
If you want to change any groups, proceed as follows:
a) Choose Group -> Maintain.
b) Select the transaction/event type that you want to re-allocate.
c) Place the cursor on the new group and choose Edit -> Assign element group).
d) Save your settings.
If you want to define new groups, proceed as follows:
a) Select Group -> Maintain.
b) Then select Group -> Insert.
c) Enter a text for the number range group.
d) Maintain the number interval for this number range group.
e) Allocate the transaction/event types to the number range groups (see step 2).
If you want to maintain new number range intervals for an existing group, proceed as follows:
a) Choose Group -> Maintain.
b) Select a group and choose Interval -> Maintain.
c) Choose Edit -> Insert year.
d) Maintain the number interval for the new fiscal year.
If you do not want to use the year-related number assignment method, enter 9999 in the field Year.
Note on transport
You transport number range objects as follows:
In the initial screen, choose Interval -> Transport.
Note that all intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
Thanks and regards

Number ranges for material document (migo) and inventory documents
Hi Gurus,
We need a different number ranges for goods receipt documents and inventory documents because we have different company merged in to one box.Can any body tell me on what basis we differenciate the number ranges how to configure it.
If we take PO, we have different doc types and we assign number ranges to those documents. in case of Miro , it is the single transaction code used by different companies and how to give different number ranges.
Regards,
Sri........Hi,
I think number ranges of inventory documents are on client level not on company code wise . because even though your creating new document and assigned different number ranges for the documents but these while assigning ranges to T codes (MIGO or MIRO) you dont have option like company codes ( tcode OMBA) so number ranges for inventory documents are at client level not at company code level. -

Not able to created Number Ranges for Asset Classes in AS08
Dear Friends,
I am not able create Number Ranges for Asset Classes in AS08.
It is giving me an error message as company code does not exist.
When I Check Consistency under path SPRO -> Financial Accounting -> Asset Accounting -> Preparing for Production Startup -> Check Consistency -> Overview Report: Company Codes. I am getting the following
RSOL Reliance Sealink One PLtd
CoCode no. alloc. NKTR
Fiscal Year Variant V3 Apr.- March, 4 special periods
Start 2nd half month 00
Transfer date 31.03.2006
Chart of dep. TOLL Chart of Depreciation - For Highway Projects
Net worth tax 01 Book depreciation as per Compinies Act 1956
Enter net book value
Status company code 2
Current fiscal year 2007
Doc. type dep. pstng AF Dep. postings
> Number range &1 in co.code &2 for doc.type &3 must be defined as internal
Calc.insur.value
Input tax exempt
If you see the above first two line you will find the difference is that Company code RSOL in the first line and NKTR company code in the second line.
Actually CoCode no. alloc. has been wrongly copied as NKTR while copying CoCode it should be RSOL and not NKTR.
I think because of this wrong allocation it is giving me an error in AS08. Also it is not showing me CoCode in drop down list in AS08.
Please help me to resolve the problem.
Thanks

How to Assigning the number ranges for Purchase Order using EXIT_SAPMM06E_0
How to Assigning the number ranges for Purchase Order using EXIT_SAPMM06E_001 using Functional Module NUMBER_GET_NEXT explain me ?
Hi,
First go thourh the FM import export parameters list.
Try to create an internal table of type INRI-NRRANGENR for number ranges.
We can provide the lower and higher values for this table so that what ever PO is created will be with that range.
Try to create the ncessary ones using this FM.
In the Exit, EXIT_SAPMM06E_001,
the Export parameters are-
EKKO-EBELN- the PO ios created with in that specified range
Range as INRI-NRRANGENR - Here try to assign the Internal table that was populated in the FM.
Try to code this in the Include provded and keep Breakpint and check the PO number generated.
Reply if u need more help on this.

Multipe number range for indonesia tax invoice no.
Hi All,
I have one question to confirm with you all:
Our indonesia office need to print out tax invoice when billing document is created.
The format is TTS.BBB-YY.NNNNNNNN , and only TTS is fixed, the other 13 digits changes.
And we can only get one number range from tax office for almost one month's usage, which means we can not maintain the number range for one whole year in one time.
Question 1: How to maintain mulitple of number ranges for one year:
I'm thinking if we can maintain different number in table "V_OFF_NUM_ID"
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 900 ID0114 01
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 901 ID0114 03
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 902 ID0114 04
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 903 ID0114 05
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 904 ID0114 06
But the "code 2" is same sometimes, so I have to do so
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 900 ID0114 01
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 901 ID0114 03
2014/03/28 – 2014/12/31 901 ID0114 04
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 903 ID0114 05
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 904 ID0114 06
But if so, I don't know when the billing date is after 2014/03/28, and the number "03" is not used up, system will pick number range of 04 or 03?
Question 2:
The revision billing document after reversal must have the same tax invoice no. with the "original billing" & reversal billing"
The SAP standard use new tax invoice no.
How to realize it?
Question 3:
YY is year and defaulted from billing date?
Thanks and best regards
CathyYou are correct that this is statutory requirement, and SAP deliver the solution, you can refer to note
1033737 - Indonesia: Tax Invoice & VAT Reporting 1107 .
However, from 04/2014, the requirement changes
TTS.BBB-YY.NNNNNNNN
Before: Only NNNNNNNN changes and SAP suggest using one number range
Now: BBB-YY.NNNNNNNN changes, and there are quite a few number range per each year.
Can not get one number range for one whole year.
Therefore, I raised my question as above. However, I think I have answer to my question, just I'm looking for one more perfect solution if there is:
1> The answer for 1st question
When the "code 2" is same sometimes, I will maintain as below
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 900 ID0114 01
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 901 ID0114 03
2014/03/28 – 2014/12/31 901 ID0114 04
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 903 ID0114 05
2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31 904 ID0114 06
By testing, only if the number of 03 is used up even though the billing date is 2014/04/01, the number 04 will be used, so should be okay.
2> The answer for 2nd question
The revision billing document after reversal must have the same tax invoice no. with the "original billing" & reversal billing"
The SAP standard use new tax invoice no
Since there are only 3-4 reversal per year, so user can realize it by changing the "current number" in J1AB
You mentioned it in
http://scn.sap.com/thread/3519329
but I did not try until I'm sure it will work
3> YY
I think it's should be from billing date. -
Hi
I wanted to define 3 plants in SAP. Can we have separate number ranges for Purchase order and GRN as plant specific. PLs let me know if it is possible through user exits. This number range i wanted to define year specific.
I have searched for the user exits, but couldn't find any. Pls helpHi,
Separate number ranges for Purchase order is possible if you have separate PO Document type which represents different procurement processes.
As needed by you ,can control form basis side( by having authorization matrix) for specific PO creation with specific PO document type with a specific plant. For example:
You have PO document types: NB, ZNB, YNB, FO,UB,ZSNB
You have three plants... P101, P102 and P103
From basis side( by having authorization matrix) allow users to create
1. To Create PO with ZNB ,YNB and ZNB PO types for Plant P101
2. To Create PO with FO and ZSNB PO types for Plant P102
3. To Create PO with UB PO types for Plant P103
Also you can configure PO number range W.R.T. Company Code by User Exit, check User Exit M06B0003 & M06B0004.
For having number range for GR which is WE for year specific, check link:
http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1886173
