Hi,
Normally, the system define the posting date based the date when document entered into Financial Accounting or cost accounting. Based on posting date,system will define the posting period and fiscal year.
Posting date can be different from Entry date ( the date date entered into SAP system), where no influence from user, and it can also different from Document date. Document date is the of original document was created.
Hope this will give you clearer overview of dates which are used in system.

Hey,
The document date is, by definition, the date on a physical document, such as an invoice, that you also create on the system, whose posting may be taking place at a later date. Since cost settlement postings are not based on any physical documents, there should be no reason to define the document date yourself. You will notice that the posting date will be the last day of the period for which you are carrying out the cost settlement, that is unless you do as Samir said above, which should take care of any inconveniences.

How to set the Expiration Date for a task which is been assigned explictly.

When I assign a task to myself and not work on it for couple of weeks the task is getting released automatically into the original unassigned pool. The TaskActionHandler WSDL is causing that to happen. I don't want a task to be automatically released into the pool when I don't work on it for couple of weeks, how can I make that happen? TaskActionHandler is something which comes with the BPEL so I can't change the way how it behaves. Do I need to set the expiration date or duration explicitly when a task is created?then how do I do that?
If anybody could let me know how to make TaskActionHandler not to release a dehydrated task, I would be glad.

Hi,
Make AUTO RELEASE a restricted action for the task by adding the following line:
<restrictedAction>AUTO RELEASE</restrictedAction>
to the <restrictedActions> tag in the task configuration file.
Works effectively.
Alternatively, you can specifiy the auto release durations on a per task priority basis. There is more on that in the BPEL Dev Guide.

I wish to set the expiration date as 3 years later the current date. I have current Date in DocCreateDate but I am not able to set it as DocCreateDate + 3 years.

You will need to use an idocscript function, most likely in a global rule.

How to Set the Effective Date to Sysdate in OAF Page

Hi All,
I am new to OAF and started working on OAF. I have a unique situation and I am unable to get it going. Here is the situation.
1) Currently on Benefits module when an user logons he/she will be directed to FamilyMbrsPG. In this Page I had extended the controller(BenEnrlHeaderCO) to set the Effective Date to as that of life event occured date. This is working fine.
But the issue arrises when one clicks the next button on FamilyMbrsPG. The requirement is when One navigates to CurrOvwPG at that page the effective date needs to be reset to Sysdate which I am unable to do. But the probloem is when I am trying to debug the controllers files of CurrOvw It is pointing to the controller class of FamilyMbrsPG which is BenEnrlHeaderCO.
I was trying to reset the Effective Date as of sysdate.
Can you please let me know as how to proceed from here.

Well here it is

In this scenario what is happening is for the page CurrOvwPG there are 6 controller class files which are as follows.:
1) BeneficiariesOverviewCO.java
2) CoveredDependentsOverviewCO.java
3) CurrentBenefitsCO.java
4) CurrentBenefitsTopCO.java
5) SelectionOverviewTableCO.java
6) SelectionsOverviewCO.java
When I ran the project in debug mode and placed the breakpoints for the controller class files. As soon as I click the next button in FamilyMbrsPG the breakpoint in occuring at line31 of BenEnrlHeaderCO which is again a controller class file for FamilyMbrsPG which has been already extended to set EffectiveData to that of Life even occured Date.
Now in CurrOvwPG I need to reset the EffectiveDate to Sysdate. Please let me know if this is clear...

I am trying to set date for each and every action in GP. Please help me out for that. I have tried it through setting the due date in the action and in process also. But its not working. So, kindly give me step by step process.

2. selected Due date tab
3. Unable to find the callable object to attach with the action.

FB08: how to menage the document date?

When I reverse a document, SAP allows me to choose only the posting date.

when you reverse the document you done have the physical document in your hand fromm which you can enter the document date..that's why SAP had given the posting date on which it should get effect in your balance sheet..

How to set the document language based on the contents of a text variable?

In my Indesign documents, I use a text variable in which I type the abbreviation of the document language according ISO639-1 (e.g. EN, DE, ES, ...). I believe ES4 sp1 allows you to do this, but I don't have that version so aren't sure. I follow the steps described in this blog, LiveCycle Blog: Gesperrte PDF-Eigenschaften in XFA-Formularen ändern//Edit locked PDF properties in XFA forms seems very hacky but does work (the English version comes after the German).

Not natively that I know of. You could use a LabVIEW DLL call to link
to a Win32 API call which sets the date and time. You would need to
have privileges to do it.

Your query is not clear. The delivery date is calculated by the system based on the planned delivery period you have entered in material master. Based on this planned delivery time & the PO creation date, system automatically proposes the delivery date, which you need not change.

I checked the program.
Check in routine FORM insert_data_for_reversal ---> IF Condition (( xlikpukwa-wbstk EQ charc AND xlikpukwa-vbtyp CA vbtyp_lief ) OR ( xlikpukwa-wbstk CA 'BC' AND xlikpukwa-vbtyp CA vbtyp_liav ). ---> 2 performs are there one with '01' and other with '02' as actual parameters.
In your case '01' is passing to the routine. if you try to pass '02' u can achive your requirement.
For testing in debug mode pass FIELDS-FIELD_ATTR = '02' for field name DATLO. then you can see the output.
Try to handle this problem using Enhancement Operations.

Hi, I'm working with JDBC to retrieve some data from an Informix Database, I'm also using Flash Remoting as my User Interface.
The thing is, when I'm trying to display the recordset, the Date Format looks like this: "Fri Jan 29 18:00:00 GMT-0600 1999" so Flash cannot translate this format.
This is my Java code:
