Return Code - Query for Multiple Rows as XML

Hi,
I'm executing an MSSQL stored procedure through the "Query for Multiple Rows as XML" activity in LiveCycle ES. I do this through a call statement such as this:
{ call MyStoredProc(?) }
This works great, the stored procedure always returns a record set (with or without records). I use this activity rather than "Call Stored Procedure" because I can transform the record set into XML right away within this activity. Unfortunately any exception arising from invoking this stored procedure cannot be handled within the workflow as this activity does not have an exception handler (lightning bolt). In an attempt to handle at least some exceptions we have decided to use try/catches within the stored procedures and return different error codes. Now the problem I am faced with is that there is no way to retrieve the returned code within any of the SQL activities. We don't want to have to write an execute script for each of these SQL calls. Is there any way to do this? Seems like I'm 95% there.

New Sample Code: Querying techniques, integration events, book assignment

We have just posted a new CRM On Demand Web Services code sample to Oracle Sample Code. This sample uses a combination of WS v1.0 and WS v2.0 to demonstrate advanced samples like querying techniques, processing integration events, and book assignment.
The sample is written using .Net framework 1.1 and VS studio 2003. Users will need to have Microsoft .NET (.Net Framework 1.1) installed on their machine.

Find the datasource behind a t-code/query

Hello,
I've a t-code that runs a query in R/3. It's Cost center plan/actual/stat. I need to get the tables that are linked to this query. I want to get the same data into BW and create the same query in it. Can anyone tell me, how to find the datasources in r/3 for that query?

HTML Code query - does iweb turn my text to graphics?

I'm a bit of a novice but thanks to iWeb I've been able to build myself quite a competent commercial website. As the company is growing I'm suffering from the problem of not being able to edit the code until the site is published - as I have a shopping cart on the site there is a lot of code to input every time I want to make a small change. Also, because I am trying to optimise my profile in the search engines I have to add a lot of title and description words at the front end of every page after it's published. Because of this I decided to import the site into Dreamweaver and see if I could edit the code there. As a result I noticed that the imported iWeb pages showed my text boxes as a graphic and I couldn't click on the text and edit. This got me worrying that search engines too were seeing all my carefully worded text as graphics instead of words which in my understanding would hinder the site slightly when it comes to SEO. I found Dreamweaver slightly exceeded my capabilities - for now - so I am left inputting HTML as before but I am very worried about this graphics issue - does anyone know if this is the case?

and .png is a graphic isn't it?
Very confused and my knowledge of Dreamweaver is so limited that I wouldn't know why it would translate the text into a graphic panel if it isn't.
Please help - I don't want to work on my seo so hard if it's a fruitless task

System activation code query

I recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad S10e with SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 preinstalled. I have created an account with Novell but the site asks for an Activation code to register my system. My documentation from Lenovo doesn't even mention Linux (it's all Windows) much less provide an Activation code.
When I run Novell Customer Center Configuration from YaST it goes through a process which at the end says:
Your configuration was successful
An update server has been added to your configuration
At no point am I asked to create an account I can use to access the Novell Customer Center website.
The Novell Customer Center Configuration entries it creates do mention a username but it's a 32 character hex string which the Novell Customer Center website doesn't accept.
Although I guess the key thing is I have the necessary Configured Software Catalogs and they do seem to work, I wonder if they will only work for a limited period?
I know with preinstalled Windows the onus is on the PC Manufacturer to support the software, would the same be true with SUSE Linux preinstalled by Lenovo?

I used the restore disc and set up the Novell Customer Center Configuration during the initial installation. I told it to include registration information under the "Include for convenience" section... I don't recall that in YaST. It did some stuff, taking forever, and eventually landed me at a Novell web page where I was prompted to click "Continue." There was no prompt for a serial number or anything. After a few more minutes of doing whatever it was doing and accepting Novell's public keys, I ended up with functioning updates. Yay!
That said, I've discovered that the 4GB model I have doesn't even have enough leftover space to apply the updates. LOL!
I'm going to try Ubuntu Netbook Remix and Moblin but, like you, I'll probably settle with the latest regular Ubuntu (or as much of it as I can fit on the drive!)

while posting any transaction which has With. Tax postings : in order to have correct returns & reporting, we mention business place / section code without fails.
these fields are frequently missed by End User, could you please provide some solution for making it mandatory while posting transactions. i do not find them in Fields status groups too.

you can make the user to enter them with out fail by using substitution or Validation rule depending on your business requirement.
Validation Rule
If T code =MIRO or T code = FB60
Check if Business Place ="xyz" and Section Code ="yyyy"
If check fails, system throws up the error message.
You write Validation rule in GGB0 and assign to your company code in OB28. Similarly write a substitution rule in GGB1 and assign in OBBH

NonBlocking Client, 2 lines of code query

Hey, I found a small example nonblocking client and i'm just trying to make sense of all the code b4 i write my own.
I was wondering if i need this code and i don't know cos i don't quite understand i. I've read the java.sun stuff about isConnectionPending() and finishConnect() but I still can't quite grasp what it's purpose is and so whether i need it, Could someone please explain this in more simplistic terms as to what this is about. It's only that if statement jst below i don't get. I included the rest of the code to provide a perspective of the client code i found.

1. OP_CONNECT tells you when the socket may be ready to test connection success or failure, based on packets received or error conditions posted.
2. isConnectionPending() tells you whether the socket is (i) non-blocking (ii) has had connect() called on it and (iii) whether finishConnect() has not been called or has been called and returned false. It's not generally necessary to use isConnectionPending() if you are already registered for OP_CONNECT.
3. finishConnect() must be called when OP_CONNECT fires to attempt to complete the connection. If it returns true, the connection is complete. If it returns false, it is still pending (this shouldn't happen if OP_CONNECT fired); if it throws an exception the connection attempt has failed.
So the code you posted is flawed in several respects. It doesn't need to call isConnectionPending(), and it doesn't test the result of finishConnect().

Adding To Card Code Query

Hello -
This query belows pulls up our entire account list and, for those accounts that have "A/P" listed as one of the contacts, it shows the Contact Name (which should = "A/P") and the e-mail associated with this contact. We would also like to add so that it shows the "Remarks 2" for this contact. How do we add this to the query?

Apple Phone Service..Customer Relations re an error code query.

A couple of years back (2009/10) my experience with apple care on the phone was prompt, civil, thoughtful..excellent. Fast forward to today re trying to chase down an answer to what an MBA error code referenced I got a lot of computer and live person Kalfka Talk at the 3 Seattle stores I phoned or @ apple care central. Apparently apple genius' are in short supple or are confined to apple central computer talk/speak.
An aside re apple care central..the live person/advisor would not/outright refused to transfer me to a customer service person. So it goes...maby I was wearing horns this moring?
All I would like to know what specifically the error code 4SNS/1/40000000: IBOR-9.882 is in reference to. Is that so difficult? Come on....

but if i skip datediff() function, and execute, its working fine...
where oscl1.createdate between [%0] and [%1]
i have doubt, does Query Generator consider ' [%0] ' as date field..?
how do i accept days from user?

I just started doing the XML Xquery programming in my SQL Server 2012 Management Studio. I executed the following code:

I got the the following Msg:
Msg 491, Level 16, State 1, Line 4
A correlation name must be specified for the bulk rowset in the from clause.
How can I specify the correction name for the bulk rowset in my project?

MySQL query error

Hi all,
The query is "SELECT * FROM tblPages t WHERE t.SiteID=1000 AND t.DisplayModule = 'on' and t.Deleted = 'N' order by t.navorder"
When i execute the above query using JDBC i get the following Exception:
java.sql.SQLException: Syntax error or access violation, message from server: "You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'BY t.navorder' at line 1"
but when i execute the same query at the command prompt it works without any problem.
I am using MySQL 4.1 database
