T/X Won't Sync - Will Hard Reset

Hi;
All software current. No new software changes when this happened.  The Hotsync stopped at the Identifying User step.  On the T/X, there is a very thin black line at the very top of the PDA that was blinking at this time.  It wouldn't go to sync.  I shut everything down, did the hard reset, turned the computer back on, started HotSync Manager, inserted the T/X, heard the computer recognize it, waited a minute, started the sync again.  It's stopping in the same place.  I waited several hours and tried again.  Same result.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Sue

When you begin sync'ing, the computer will prompt you, "there is no user name associated with this account..." select your old user name from the drop down list.

    No it will not....hard reset is simply hold down power button 30 seconds with no power supply attached. It is not the same as a cell phone reset.

  • IPod won't start after hard reset - help appreciated

    I had a problem with syncing my iPod with iTunes. I connected and it strated syncing alright. After a couple of seconds everything froze. Smart as I am I thought there might be some errors on any of my disks the syncing process is reading from. Couldn't find anyhting though. My secodn guess would that I just bought a new external hard drive to which I transferred my library (maybe the iPod didn't knwo where to look).
    So my best guess was to perform a hard reset and re-sync everything. So I hooked up the iPod and quickly pressed the stop syncing button before nayhting could freeze. That worked well. You probably can guess what happened when performed the hard reset.....everything froze. And now.....my iPod is trying to restart, but at a certain point I hear the drive disconnect and starting up again. This keeps repeating over and over again. Hooking it up to my macbook has no avail. Any suggestions?

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

    It is very ikely that there is no way to recover any data from the iPod

  • Time Capsule won't respond to hard reset.  Why won't it?

    Remains solid amber even when i hold down reset button.  We lost power a few days ago and wifi not working so tried a hard reset but it did not respond.

    They used WD black caviar and loads are dying..
    It is well out of warranty and so could also have power supply issues.
    Take your pick but I would replace it.. as generally fixing both power supply and hard disk is not economic.

    You can find disassembly instructions there.. and just use the TC as airport extreme if you wanted to.
    You can also pull out the hard disk and test it.. see if it has issues.

  • A Huge Problem with my iPod touch 5th Generation - Cannot Sync or Hard Reset

    It's Impossible unless Somebody has a suggestion on how to fix this "problem".
    This iPod 5th Generation appears to have a black screen. Whenever i charge it. It goes to charging screen that Battery symbol and the lightning bolt below the Battery symbol. You cannot turn it on or reach to the apple logo. Cannot do a Hard reset (Sleep button + Home button at the same time). It stays as it was. Charging for 5 Hours now...What a big waste. Got this iPod less then a month. Called help to fix the problem at apple store which i have an appointment in 2 days. But if any suggestions would work on my iPod. Then i don't need to go to the appointment.
    Please. Somebody help me fix that iPod. Stuck at black screen. Can't goto the apple logo. So whenever i unplug the recharger. It goes black screen instead of battery required to charge or something like that.

  • Battery after hard reset on Lumia 800

    Hi
    A few days ago i did a hard reset on my Lumia 800. Since that everything was great, the only reason why i did it, to restore the default settings. After that i updated the firmware to 12070 via Zune. Since that day, my phone doesn't really know how much  percentages are left from the battery. Sometimes It's showing a consant value for a long time, then suddenly begins to drain, and after a few it stops. It often happens, that it shows a value, and after an hour it shows a higher value (in percentage) than beforehand. 
    Today I let It to discharge to 0%, and then i pluged it to the charger. When the phone turned on, it showed me 5%.
    It's lifetime havent changed so spectacularly, but i guess its a bit shorter with the same usage.
    Is this behaviour normal after hard reset?

    After update my lumia 800 is failing to recongnise earphone. It keeps playing music on speaker. If I restart my phone then for few mins it is playing music in earphone. But after few mins once again music playback is starting through speaker.
    what should be the problem? will hard reset solve this problem? If yes, how to hard reset nokia lumia 800.

    Have this MSI Primo 73 for a week now. With only one paid app, Sound Report Writer. Using the stock launcher and updated it with the new firmware from the official MSI website. The tablet crashed on me yesterday. It wont power on now. Will hard resetting it help? Is so, how?
    Also, any other ways for me to power it on? Connecting it to the charger also doesn't work. I don't see the battery icon/ charging icon anymore.

    It's a 64G ipod touch and was fine till Apple told me to upgrade to ios 6.  Now most of my apps crash, my music won't play and I just get a white screen when I hit Music.
    When I try to sync to itunes it acts like it's going to sync and appears to recognize the ipod, but it's grayed out and has an update circle by it that spins for a while until itunes eventually freezes alltogether.  Is there a  way to go back to ios 5 after a erase and reset?

    When you connect your ipod up to the computer. It should show the device, usually with the name of the device, in my case 'jordan's ipod'. This should be on the row which shows 'songs', 'albums' e.t.c on the far right. There when you click on it it should go to a different screen showing a picture of your ipod along with two buttons - Update and Restore. Click update and it should take a 2 mins while your ipod is updated to the latest version of Ios.
    After updating te ipod see if there is a change in results.
    PS: make sure the device is active while syncing so keep tapping the screen.

    I hope someone can help. There was something wrong with my Ipad so I had to reset it back to the factory settings. Now the Ipad won't sync to Itunes and only factory installed apps will open. Does this mean that this Ipad is DOA and it is time for a new one? Or is there anything else I can do?  It is a 1st generation Ipad.

    if all that does not work you can always try to do a recovery mode restore back to factory settings and then set it up as a new device then try to redownlaod every thing again

    You cannot merge Apple ID accounts, that has never been supported.
    You can contact the Apple ID Security folks per the listing in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 and they can help reset security questions and get the account working.

    my 5th generation ipod won't sync anymore to my PowerMac G4.  It worked fine, but when I installed a new hard drive it won't work anymore.  I've re-installed iTunes, the latest version for Tiger, I've reset and restored my iPod.  The ipod shows up fine in the source banner and I can transfer files to it, however when I unplug the iPod the files are not there.

    Maybe try to repair the iPod's HD using Disk Utility located in the Applications -> Utilities folder.  If that doesn't help, try a low level reformat of the drive using the same application.  Make sure you choose Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) as the file system format.

    Device is frozen in this display loop.  Have an appointment with genius bar tomorrow but it's a 2.5 hour round trip so suggestion appreciated.

    Your device may need to be restored as new in iTunes (instead of restored from a back up as it seems that there is a software issue on your phone).
    If your phone is not able to connect in iTunes try forcing recovery mode (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808)
    * power off your phone.
    * Hold the home button while connecting your phone to iTunes.  You should see the connect to iTunes window and your computer should give you the recover mode alert.
    *Restore your device as new. Being sure not to restore from a previous back up.
    You will then want to sync your information back to your device from Outlook, iCloud, Google or wherever your information is stored.
