T030 - Planning Order - association to Cost element

Hi everybody
I'd like to ask which association in T030 does the system when calculating Planned costs for  production orders. I've 2 valorization classes for materials: 1 for stock materials and 1 for direct procurement on order. I would like to associate internal cost element (85...) to stock material valorization class and fiscal cost element (4...) to direct procurement material valorization class. Which operations of T030 do I have to consider? I thought it was GBB VBR, but then does not work totally.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion!
Regards
Chiara

Thanks, but I'm trying to integrate the planning that happens in a PM order with the cost center.  I was able to get planned costs from the orders via S_ALR_87012993.
the lack of planned settlement in a PM order is annoying.  We do a lot of work on PM orders and settle actual costs to cost centers.  It would be nice to use that same functionality (Operations, Components, task lists) to be able to plan costs and settle the planned costs to cost centers.  Internal Orders can settle planned costs to cost centers, why not PM orders?
I believe the KSPP transaction helps to link the two objects somehow, but I can't get it to work.  If anybody has any insights, that would be great.
Or should I be pursuing something else?
Thanks.
Dan.

  • Capitalization of an investment order/project - Original cost elements

    Hi all,
I do have a question concerning the capitalization of an investment order/investment project onto an asset under construction (AuC).
I have configured the system in a way, using capitalization key and capitalization versions, that I can capitalize 100 % of the costs within the IFRS depreciation area to the AuC and 0 % of the costs within my local gaap depreciation area to the AuC.
Instead of capitalizing the costs within the local gaap depreciation area, the cost are booked to the u201CAccount for capitalization differences/nonoperating expensesu201D.
With the settlement of the investment order/investment project to the AuC the original cost accounts/cost elements (shared between IFRS and local gaap) are credited and the AuC is debited for the IFRS deprecation area and the u201CAccount for capitalization differences/nonoperating expensesu201D is debited for the local gaap depreciation area.
My problem is, that I do not want to have the costs for my local gaap P&L on the u201CAccount for capitalization differences/nonoperating expensesu201D, I do want to have them instead on the corresponding local gaap cost accounts/cost elements to  the original shared cost accounts/cost elements within FI and CO.
Is there any possibility to do this within SAP Standard?
(If possible the solution should also work within New GL, using multiple ledgers for parallel accounting instead of different account)
    Thank you!
    Regards

    Hi Prad,
    I am on 4.6C/D.
Please check on your settings for Capitalization of AUCs created through Investment Support Measures: -
    1. Go to the IMG, Asset Accounting under Special Valuation and determine the Depreciation Areas you would like your Investment Support Measures to post to.
    2. Still in Special Valuation, define an Investment Support Key and assign it to the relevant depreciation area
    3. Also, define the relevant account determination for such posting under the Special Valuation
    4. Proceed in the same area to define the Transaction type for the Investment Support Measure by changing any of the Standard ones in there in line with your requirements
    5. Now move back to IMG, Asset Accounting then Master Data. Here you go to the screen layout and pick the relevant asset class for AUCs. Get this logical feild group and pick on the item Investment Support. Proceed to define its feild group rule as optional at the required asset maintenance level (Main Asset and/or Sub Level)
    6. Leave the IMG and access the relevant AUC's Master Data from the User Menu. Click the tab Investment Support and insert the Investment Support Key you created in note 2 above
    7. Now capitalise the AUC. Should work

  • Report by Internal Order that includes cost element and order type

    Good Morning Gurus'
Is there an SAP Standard Report that shows Internal order, cost element and order type?  I find many with order, but not order type.
    Thanks a million!!

    Hi,
No, I don't think so. You can create a workaround by defining order group based on order type by intervals. Or, of course, develop your own report.

  • Settle internal order to primary cost element

    Hi all,
We use internal orders to collect costs for cars. We differentiate between fuel and maintenance costs. Both cost elements are set up being primary cost elements. When settling the internal order costs are settled using a secondary cost element. What do I need to change and where do I have to change this to have the cost settled against the original, primary cost elements (fuel/maintenance)?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Best regards, Paul

    Hi,
    Check the setting
    Controlling ->Internal Orders ->Actual Postings->Settlement->Maintain Allocation Structures.
& also check the settlement profile.

  • Planned Order confirmation or cost collector setting?

    Hello,
we have implemented the planned order backflushing on the corresponding reporting steps.
But on the ERP side its only sending material to the cost collector and not directly backflushing it againt the planned order.
On the SAP ME help page I saw this statement:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_me52/helpdata/EN/4a/3ff0bf8e37420a9a96588eeb803de7/content.htm
Depending on the settings in SAPMEINT, the corresponding planned order is confirmed in SAP ERP or the cost collector is updated. Then the standard functions for confirmation are carried out in SAP ERP.
    Where is this setting?
    Regards,
    Kai

    Hi Santhosh,
Production Order planned costs are nothing but the order quantity will be calculated. But the product cost collector means the quantitative structure of the product means it will consider the all the components costs in the BOM contains and calculate the cost of the product OK.
I hope it helps you OK. Any queries ping me again OK.

    Regards
    Paul

By standard configuration itr is not possible.
You ought to have user exit in place.
For DC A & B, where you need a redetermination of pricing component, take help of an ABAPer for user exit USEREXIT_XKOMV_FUELLEN (module pool SAPLV61A, program RV61AFZB).
So now, for DC C, you need to change the copying control in VTFL - item, where your pricing type ought to be D-Copy pricing elements unchanged.
    Regards
    JP
ASSUMPTION: I assume that your all DC uses the same Sales Doc type & Billing Doc type

  • Restricting Cost Elements in Internal Orders

I am setting up new order types for our Marketing Department. I want to ensure the only costs charged there are Marketing Costs (ie a small range of Cost elements). I've put the range into the allocation structure, but that only seems to control settlement cost Element, and doesn't stop anything I don't want coming in to the order.
Is it possible to restrict postings coming in to a range of Cost elements? Ideally, this would stop the problem at source i.e. you can't raise a Purchase Order assigned to the Internal Order with a cost Element outside the restricted range?
Is this possible? If so, could you kindly point me in the right direction?

    Hi gbrandreth,
Allocation Structure, as you correctly understood, is only for Settlement transaction.
Pls try to use "Validations" for your requirement.

  • COST Element Based Planning

    Hello All,
We are trying to plan cost of WBS Element based on cost elements.
what we are trying to do -
    > CJ40, we want to plan on cost element level so on clicking the button "primary costs" (or via the menu: "Extras -> detailed planning -> Primary costs") we end up in an error message saying -
Group INT-2 does not contain any entries
    Message no. K8004
    Diagnosis
Group INT-2 does not contain any single values. You cannot use it in planning.
    System Response
The SAP System rejects the planning layout and your entry.
    Procedure
Use either a different group or enter values for group INT-2.
CONFIGURATION for Planning Profile (T Code - OPSB) for the planning profile used in WBS Element Primary cost element group assigned is INT-2.
    Question2
    - Does cost element planning influenced by the cost element group assigned in the planning profile.
    - How to solve this error.
    Points assured.
    Warm Regards,
    Jatinder Bansal

this is because in planning profile (Txn OPSB) you have INT-2 as cost element group and there are no cost elements assigned as pointed out by Venkat
use transaction CJR2 instead of CJ40 and then plan for any cost element group or cost element that you already have

  • G/L account & cost element

Pls. clarify how G/L account & cost element is utilized in case of PM orders i.e. actually how these two relate to costing in PM orders.

    Hi,
Basically Cost Elements are Cost Carriers. Cost elements enable you to break down the cost associated with one cost bucket into more granular entities.
    Primary Cost Element:
When cost element carriers cost between FI and CO they are called Primary, the link is established GL A/c = Cost element(Primary). Primary cost elements are like materail costs, personnel costs, energy costs... where a corresponding GL account exists in FI..to allow costs to flow...
    Secondary Cost Element :
When cost element carries cost with in CO, then they are called secondary cost element.
Secondary cost elements are like production costs, material overheads, production overheads, they can be created and administered in only CO.  These are used in internal cost allocation, overhead calculation, settlement transactions., it does not flow to FI...
    Plant Maintenance:
Cost Elements will be linked to Value Categories. Based on that, costs will be calculated for the PM Order. Cost element creation is based on Business Requirements. For Example, if you want to see the Material Cost (without considering whether internal or external), one cost element will be defined. If you want to see the same separately, 2 different cost elements should be defined. This is apllicable for labor category as well (Internal or External).
In turn, based on cost element assignment under Allocation Structures, settlement will be done on those cost elements. In Allocation structures, Source cost elements & Settlement cost elements will be defined. Based on that, while doing order settlement, costs will be posted to concern cost elements from cost objects (Orders).

  • Difference between type of Secondary Cost Element Category?

    Hi,
I checked the system, and during the secondary cost element (CE) creation, I can select some of the CE category as follows:
    21 Internal settlement
    31 Order/project results analysis
    41 Overheads
    42 Assessment
    43 Internal activity allocation
    50 Project-related incoming orders: Sales
    51 Project-related incoming orders: Other
    52 Project-related incoming orders: Costs
    61 Earned value
My question, what kind of report that I can read entries with these kind of CE?
Reason: I want to check what has been posted to these secondary CE.
    Or
Could anyone explain the use of above-mentioned CE category in brief?
    Thanks.

Cost element that is used to allocate costs for internal activities.
    Most often used categories are
    21 Internal settlement
(When ever an order is settled e.g internal order settling to cost center through this type of cost elements)
    31 Order/project results analysis
(WIP in production orders are calculated and posted using this category)
    41 Overheads
(Used in costing sheet to do an overhead allocation)
    42 Assessment
(whenever cost is allocated between cost centers through allocation method - Assessment)
    43 Internal activity allocation
(found in production orders when a routing activity is confimed the charge goes to the production order through this cost element)

is there any table entries plaaned order and transaction codes?
i got two planned orders qty1 and qty5  from a client for same sale order item.

    Dear,
    Couple of check,
    1) Check  Lotsize ?
    2)Planning strategy?
    3)Individual /collective requirements indicator in MRP4 view?
For MTO, you will get one Planned Orders per one requirement element.
So, you are getting number of Planned Orders for FG?
For MTS Scenarion, the Lot Size EX will work just like the Daily lotsize (TB).
So, system will club all the requiremnts per day and propose the Planned Orders for 1 day requirements.
You will get separate planned orders for the Next day.
    Hope clear to you.

  • Overall Cost Planing on COst Elements

    Hi All,
Customer's requirement is to plan cost on cost element level (in CJR2 or CJ40) on overall basis. They donot want to plan it on period basis. They want to check variance for a project overall but on cost element basis.
If I check Total Values in planning profile I donot get Cost elements.
Can somebody suggest please if this is possible without development.
    thanks you.
    regards
    maneesh

    Hi,
In your case, you can do either Unit costing/Easy cost planning as both are cost element based.
Unit costing is useful, where in you can enter the qty of materials (internal, external).
Easy cost planning is used for preliminary planning. It is possible only in CJ20N
In both the cases, you should have profiles.

  • Settlement of internal activity cost to primary cost element.

    Hi Gurus,
My client has a  urgent requirement to settle the internal activity cost captured through Warranty order to a primary cost element (FI), also need an offsetting entry to another primary cost element against the first one.
Note: The value should flow to COPA also.
Please suggest the way through which it can be achieved.
    Best Regards,
    Ramakanta

When you do settlement of the order, you can post to FI all the balance of the order.
Just configure int he peroid end closing tab of the order the settlement cost element (P&L) and the g/l account (BS- offsetting)
For sure you can do this on a internal order, i don't know about warranty order (but shall be the same). Otherwise you can first settle to an internal order and then to the desired GL account.

    Paolo
