T400 Dock and Batteries - will they fit a new T410 or T410s?
I have a T400 with docking station and extra high capacity battteries. I'm looking at a new T410 and T410s - will my docking station work? How about the batteries?
the T400 uses a different battery to the T410/T410s (these two machines also use a different battery to each other).
T400 battery is compatible only with R400, R61/T61 with 14.1 inch widescreen.
Advanced dock and advanced mini dock (and the port replicator) used for T400, is compatible with:
T6x, R6x, Z6x, T400/T500/W500, R400/R500

Do you have a new Apple ID to use in NZ? If not open iTunes Store. Log out of your old Apple ID, then try to login. Select Create Apple ID from the dialog that appears. Make a new Apple ID for NZ with a NZ email address. Once that is approved and verified, log into the iTunes Store with the new Apple ID. This should fix all other issues.
Change iTunes Store Country on an iDevice
1. Tap Settings;
2. Tap iTunes & App Stores;
3. Tap View Apple ID;
4. Enter your user name and password;
5. Tap Country/Region;
6. Tap Change Country/Region;
7. Select the region where you will be located;
8. Tap Done.

i'm using an older version of iPhoto on my desktop Mac and I can't seem to control the number of photos appearing on my iPhone and iPad, will upgrading to the newer iPhoto resolve this?

You'll need to connect the iPod Touch to your iTunes library in recovery mode and restore it factory settings. There is no other way.

i changed my number along with my sim card and imessage will not recognize my new number. how can i have imessage forget my old number and use my new number?
i have tried signing out of imessage and signing back in. (when i do that and am asked to select my email adress, i see my new number but it is greyed out and i cant select it)But under send and receive, my old number is still displayed while my new number isn't.

3GS docks - will they fit iPhone 4?
I have things like a desk dock, and more importantly the tom-tom car mount for my 3GS.
Do we know if these will fit the iPhone 4?
I hope so.I returned my 3GS dock yesterday since I've had it for less than a month and knew that it won't fit the iPhone 4. I actually don't think I'm going to buy a dock for the 4 because I really didn't use it that much.
Since the 4 is thinner than the 3GS, I would think that Apple would release an adapter that would allow the 4 to fit in devices that were made for the 3GS. Of course, they are in business to make money so I guess maybe not. I'm just lucky that all my 3GS accessories are less than 30 days old, so I can return them and get my money back to exchange for accessories that will fit my new 4! The new phone is less than a week away! Can't wait to see it! -

My iPhone 4s has been replaced at least 4 times within a year and nobody at the genius bar seems to know what's wrong but every time I plugy phone into my cable that connects my iPhone to the stero in my car and when I disconnect it, my iPhone think its in dock mode and will not play music or sounds with our being plugged into a dock. However it will occasionally make sounds when a text comes in but that's about it. I really don't know why this happens or how to fix it, HELP!!

my iphone 5 screen has been cracked but i recently dropped my phone again and the whole screenpopped out. its still attached by a black cord but now the whole screen is just black and i cant use it at all. will the apple store replace my screen or will i have to get a whole new iphone?
You may need to buy an entirely new iPhone. Before when the screen was just cracked you could have got an out of warranty replacement for a fee but now the screen has popped out and will most likely be classed as catastrophic damage.

IPod Classic and photocamera -- will they live together???

Has anybody an experience in connection of photo camera to a new iPod Classic? It looks like existing camera connector does not work with new iPods. Apple is still silent... Is there any info? Also, what if I will connect my photo camera to iPod directly? I have no cable (USB wide-to-narrow) otherwise I'd already tried to do it...
Any tips would be appreciated!

It's a well known issue that many 3rd party accessories will not work correctly with the new iPods, and it's up to the manufacturers of these accessories to provide updates to ensure that they do.
My guess is that the sales person is trying to fob you off and that you should ask the store for a refund. -
The New iPad and iPhoto: will they play nicely with Aperture
After seeing the awesome demonstration of the the iPhoto for the The New iPad I am excited to use it once my new iPad is delivered.
However, long ago, I abandonded iPhoto on my Mac for Aperture.
Does anyone have any idea if iPhoto on the iPad can share/sync photos with Aperture on the Mac? I'm guessing so. Would love to be able to use the iPad to sort through, edit, delete, photos, then have them sync so they are available in Aperture. I'm sure this will be available through PhotoStream, but with its limit of 1000 photos, that's not exactly what I'm hoping for.

You are right in many aspects, in particular when it comes to doing edits on a tablet to a photograph... Being a photographer I see no point in editing photographs on a display that will not show true colours to begin with... And in fact the fact that both Aperture and Lightroom do not support editing within colour channels (only photoshop does to my knowledge) makes them both very clumsy tools apart from two important functions: 1 sorting and previewing 2 adjusting exposure (and ONLY exposure). Aperture has a better RAW converter than Lightroom this is the only reason for using Aperture over Lightroom (OK it is user friendlier too).
The only Workflow support a tablet CAN and should provide professionally speaking is pre-sorting, ratings, colour labeling, possibly croppings. Everything else should be manioulaated on a big true colour screen and preferably within the colour channels in Hotoshop.
That means all the iPad needs to provide is: 1) an upload from you camera directly into the iPad (check) 2) a sorting, labeling and rating function.
Ironically the second function does exist -- for Lightroom .... The app is called Photosmith and works like a charm. Unfortunately Lightrooms RAW converter isn't great so then I have to export from Lightroom back to several folder mimicking my various rating and sortings and then re-import to Aperture... Yes we're in 2012! And yes we are talking of the prime product of the most highly valued Technology company called Apple
I'm going at length to explain this because a) I'm increasingly frustrated at Apple's complete misregard for real professional needs (which seems to grow exponantionally with every success they celebrate in the consumer market) and b) frustrated with the ipad - being one of my worst purchases in 2011. Not because it isn't cool, but because it is simply being artificially cut in functionality just so that Apple may sell more Macbooks.
Because the only true reason for a laptop these days is either you are constantly travelling - and I mean constantly... which few people truely are... or you're working in a remote location... Or your iPad just doesn't perform enough even for basics so that you still need to take a laptop even if you're away for just a week or two and intheory all you need is email and an app to rate and colour code the images you took, and possibly upload them to a server so that an assistant can take care of the rest - because you're too busy to be actually retouching images anyway...
I hope Tim Cook will change a few things - he does seem a bit less stubborn. I am hoping for the best because I know a few people within my circles (we're all early adopters and were proud owners of the Titanium Powerbook) who are already thinking of alternatives... Cheers
